Thanks for this Sublime Focus review, Scott! I think this ball will be flying off the shelves once it is released. Should be a good replacement for the Gem/Magic Gem.
@@ScottAndersonBowling Nice. That's kinda what it looked like to me watching all the reviews, but nice to hear you say that. I've been looking something I can move into after the Summit. I also have a Top Speed that I end with pretty well, but I'm needing something in between. I'm just house shot league, but geeking out on the equipment is half the fun right? I have an Ethos, but I just don't match up with it very well and I've had the surface from box all the way down to 1000 grit. Anyway, thanks for your response.
Got mine in today drilling it tomorrow morning. Was way more excited about the sublime focus than the ion max. I want something a little stronger than a phaze 2 and i think this is my answer.
@ScottAndersonBowling I've thrown it for a few games and can definitely tell this ball likes oil. Unfortunately the house is bowl at do not like oil. So this will be a great tournament ball.
@@tylers_bowling_pb it changes surfaces great. If you want to throw it for league, I’d go 500-1000-4000 and then let it lane shine to mellow it out. The ball is extremely versatile.
This was a great ball review. I’m a touch slower with a little less revs but I’ve been looking for a video to stack the Sublime Focus against the Summit Ascent as I’m in the market for a good solid ball. Made them look so good now I feel like I should get both!
Another great ball review. I have the Summit Ascent on the way. Any layout recommendations for a slightly rev dominant senior bowler? My ball speed is about 14 mph on the monitor. My current favorite ball is the OG Xponent with a layout of 70 x3.75x20. Not sure how to drill the Ascent. Will probably keep it lane shined and would like it to be controllable and not overly angular/sharp. Thanks.
@@BigB_62 I’m not extremely familiar with dual angle, but a lower pin will help calm that reaction down. Something directly under the bridge would do the trick.
Great video. I’m making the move from 15lbs to 14lbs. I’m getting older. But since I’m making the move I’m getting the latest. So what 3 ball’s would u recommend for League THS. Trying to cover all bases. I love ur honesty. Thanks
Personally I would say bowling ball reviews cater to different styles and not all ball reviews are gonna be the same so most ball reviews like yours should always be taken with a grain of salt , keep doing you and forget what other people say it's a ball review and it's based on your perspective. Not all ball reviews are gonna cater to specific people hence why there's multiple ball reviewers on the internet like the hype and other people.
I agree. Everyone throws differently. What these ball reviews do is give their perspective on how a new release is to them and where it would fit in the bag. Strong asymm solid generally fits at the top of the bag. I tend to listen more than watch, but seeing how the ball rolls down lane is helpful if you are familiar with the person throwing the ball. Thanks, Scott!
Like your reviews Scott! Appreciate that you engage people. Keep it going!

@@CliftonDon74 this ball is just so strong! Severely underrated right now IMO.
I have the regular Summit, but that Ascent really looks good every time I see it thrown.
@@miquerto the Ascent is going to be a slightly cleaner and quicker response version. The original Summit was very early and strong for a Hybrid.
