In the rain try to set one corner of the front awning much lower than the other corner. This should help the rain to run off and you won't have to keep dumping it off. This is from 65 years of camping, much of it in the rain. I'm a grandmother and tell my kids the same thing. Good luck and stay dry.

Five years ago my wife and I took our four children, two dogs camping. It poured rain setting up, and for the next 4 days as well. The lamp caught fire and melted our dining tent, our tent leaked. We ended up going home early and the moment we pulled into our driveway the sun came out. Last week my daughter and I went camping and it poured rain for the two days we were there. No fires and we managed to kayak and fish. Can't wait for next trip!

Living in the UK, Midlands area it has been raining also with some flooding but not as bad as some places in the world so quite lucky. Travelling around this Christmas week to see family so staying indoors and enjoying good food and family time. Hope you did too.
I recommend placing a long stick in the middle of the tarpaulin to prevent water from forming. E.g. an extended broom, the part with the bristles facing up to protect the tarpaulin. I would also attach the tarpaulin to the roof rack, which is more stable than with the poles. But otherwise cool gear. Thumbs up! 👍👍
I would recommend buying a ruck sack and parking the car somewhere. You could even actually go ......... wait for it ......... A WALK !!!!! Why bother parking diesel exhaust from a van pointing straight at your tent ? You leave the van open and lose all the heat. Looks like this dude either needs a GF or BF and dreams of army service. He should fly to Russia. They're looking for happy campers with knives and such.

Absolutely clean and tidy video .. 4k. Very mechanised system Just a piece of extendible downpipe from the van roof , with good attachment . You never have flat roof tents. With all that expensive gear , I would have been inclined to have a trailer as well.
You need to lower one side of awnings so there’s always a slope, so the rain can run off, not a flat roof, where the rain accumulates, I’ve made same mistake as you. Love the videos, all the best from 🇨🇦

Please include some more off-road driving footage to your edits. It`s always interesting to see not only the camp itself, but also how you get to your camping spots.
Agree...perhaps can show d capability of d road warrior ie d def90. W LR d terrain needs to be a bit challenging so it can play well :)...♤♤ere in Malaysia we take them off road into d rainforests, across d streams, slimy muddy clay etc..
@@zaiz7494 here in Carpathian mountains we take them off road and do lots of rock crawling and go through deep mud and across mountain creeks.
