I finally finished the red pyramid!! I enjoyed this book a lot, I felt like the beginning of the book was a bit slow and while I was reading it I missed Percy, Annabeth and the gang and I missed Camp half blood too.
But the characters in this book are very endearing and I like them as much as I love Percy and friends, I love Sadie and Carter a lot, they're great!!
Rick really knows how to do lore well, it's always so cool. Learning about the gods and the house of life was so interesting. I think my favorite part of the book was the final battle against Set, It was so amazing when Carter and Horus became one and were able to use their powers and when Sadie became one with the goddess Isis too. Rick always knows how to do a hype fight.
I actually thought that I could Demigods and Magicians after I've finished the trilogy but I've actually gotta read it once I've read all The Heroes of Olympus. Oh and I like how they travel from London, to America and then to Paris and New Mexico too as well, that was really cool!! I'm excited for the neflix live action adaption but honestly I don't know how they're going to do it, the special effects need to be really high quality and they'll have to travel to a lot of different locations to film the movie. Hopefully they'll be able to figure it while also being faithful to the books. Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading the 2nd and 3rd book!! ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
Ah and we finally got a release date for The Storm Runner spinoff about Ren, it's called The Lords of the Night (Previously called Throne of Sand) and releases 2022 on october 4th!! There's more infomation about it on J.C. Cervantes' instagram If you want to know more about it!!

Yes, lore building is especially important for the beginning of all of these series and Uncle Rick does an incredible job with that! The biggest thing with KC is that it’s about magic and gods vs PJO where it’s about demigods and gods. Lotta things we need to learn about spells and spirits and stuff with the house of life which definitely aids in the next books!
And yep! Can’t wait for more JC Cervantes novels!
