To buy something that fragile at a low cost would really be hurting the pawn shop unless they can get the right collector to reach the 700$ mark.
It was also in "Fair" condition with a lot of pieces missing so it would be less sought after by collectors.
Id imagine they would also need a special case to put it in to keep it from getting hurt by the elements more than it already had been.

do family heirlooms pay the bills? memories are digital in this day and age. Even I got rid of my grandfathers things when I started getting older. I still have the memories of him, not to mention pictures, that's all I need.
Everything else would just pick up dust.

    • @---cr8nw
      @---cr8nw 6 років тому +7

Part of it depends on what family heirlooms you have. I have two bedroom sets worth of antique furniture, an antique globe-wernicke barrister bookcase, a Victorian loveseat, and all of my grandfather's war memorabilia from his service in WW2. I also have a lot of glass milk bottles and bottle caps from his family owned dairy farm. All of them are family heirlooms, but fairly soon I'm going to have to start making some hard choices as to what I can reasonably keep. But I don't think I'll be visiting a pawn shop to do it.

I have been to the store while they were filming. They only let a few people in and tell them not to look or talk to the stars. All the props are already there, and it is definitely scripted. No one would sell something rare and valuable in a pawn shop(and happily accept half or less then the value) when you can easily sell it to collectors yourself, or online.
