Courthouse Commons San Diego Mat Foundation Pour

Largo poured the second large mat foundation at the Courthouse Commons residential development in downtown San Diego on June 12. Four truck mounted boom pumps ranging from 40 to 61 meters and one placing boom started pumping at 5AM. The deepest part of the foundation was 14.5ft and a total of 4,553CY were placed at a peak yards-per-hour rate of 660. The crew of 102 individuals included a placing crew of 29, 23 finishers, six pump operators, four oilers, and 40 support personnel. General contractor Holland Partners, Carrier Johnson architects and Bryson Markulim Zickmantel structural engineers anticipate the 44-level building to top out during the summer of 2023.

Wow! deepest pour at 14.5 ft? I would not want to chop that up. Such heavy rebar too. Amazing accomplishment for sure.
