I’m a truck driver just turned 30. I work nights and get home 3-4 am I sleep for 4 hours get up and trade for 8am been following you for the last few months and just had my first green month last month! Thanks for all you do and the info you share.
@@ryankovacs100 I'm right there with you bro same career and schedule. We got this!
I turned 53 in February. I made the dive in May. Learning and loving it. Thanks for the platform!
congrats! I am 59 and also loving it. So far I am still holding my day job but will switch to a night job if/when i have to. I am in my second month in sim. I do work on a trade desk tho, so i am not starting from scratch. I have been swing trading for years. How r u coming along? are you a Warrior member?
I love how you “keep it real” brother!
That is a very encouraging pov.
Im 51 and been on this amazing journey for about 4 years. I just sent this episode to my youngest son who is 18!
Amazing!!
Love the videos Ross. Your personality shines through and I think that is what keeps your fans loyal to you. Yes money is what draws the crowd but as we watch your videos, it’s who you are that keeps people coming back. Keep up the great work
HAPPY LABOR DAY ROSS MAN !!! thank you for everything you teach !!
That is exactly what happened to me. I graduated in 2009, and no one would give me a chance. People with 5 to 10 years of experience were applying for the jobs that I should have been getting. It was sad because I was making more money before I went to college than after I graduated.
Yea I lived in a car in the cold during that time period, and worked full time. I was treated badly when I was their best employee!
Yup that’s exactly right. We got skipped: had to get creative to get by!
I’m in my 40’s with a stay at home wife and a kid, a house, 2 cars in NY. Needless to say I’m working with a tiny account now. I blew up one account using the Covid money.
That was my rock bottom. I am now working in 3 figure account to prove to myself I can do this.
The past month was the first time in 3 years I had one loss the entire month and was green by 20%.
This video is so right. I wish I knew about the market decades ago lol😊
@@DaytradeWarrior We? No... I have not recovered from it yet. Why am I still skipped?
I graduated in 2002 and I also went through the same nightmare post Enron and 9/11

I agree!
I agree big time
Are simulators free?
@@mischa7150 yes, most brokers offer paper trading for free. Webull, Tradingview, and ThinkorSwim are great places to start.
@@mischa7150 Some are free, yes. I just set up the free simulator on Investopedia and plan to start when the market opens tomorrow. Wish me luck, heh.
Love your content! consuming all that I can. I'm 32 and just now learning about trading, I've never had a career. I have hopped from job to job trying to find what works for me in life. I'm currently a handyman but I'm tired of abusing my body day after day just to barley get by. I'm all in on trading after coming across your videos. I started in a simulator the other day and I'm trying to play the simulator as if it's my real money, so I only put up $200 in shares in the simulator, followed your wonderful advice and made $11 on that deal! I was so excited! Slowly working the simulator into my schedule and hopefully by the end of 2024 or start of 2025 I'll be transitioning into a full time treader. Thanks Ross for your beautiful teachings!
I had a similar experience graduating college during the Great Recession. It was a rough 6 years - I had to take what little money I had and move across the country with just the clothes on my back, sleeping on a friends couch, in a city with better economic opportunities. Fast forward several years and now life is great. I wish I had considered trading earlier but I'm now in a position where I can fund a small account and grow it from a side hobby into a considerable side hustle. Thanks Ross for all the advice. One of these days I'm going to take a 2-week vacation from work and take your warrior pro course. 👍
I’m looking forward to it! Keep hustling!
I am almost 50 and I have to change!
50 cents feels the same emotionally as 5,000… that’s just my observation.
Ross! thanks again for awesome content! How about a video on your thoughts on starting to trade in your 50's!?!
I think I agree with your theory, I'm quit a bit older, been a tradesman for most of my adult life, and took up day trading coming on 3.5 years, and I finally have started seeing some consistency. I believe that doing it my way,(later in Life) is considerably harder to be able to do. I have many responsibilities that have to be met every day, no taking a break from those, so I, at least have found it very challenging to juggle those and learn to be consistent. I must say, It's all come together in this last 6 months, and a lot of is due to listening and watching your videos. So thankyou very much for all your time.
Thank you for your videos, Ross. There's no one like you and you have to have a real love for people to be willing to teach such a valuable skill for free. Happy Labor Day!
Ross as always great job. My story is a little different. I’m 60 and have a business to support me. I’ve been studying little more than a year and paper trading since April. I track my trades in tradervu. Almost ready to go live. Thank you for the videos and your knowledge of trading. I look forward to your recap everyday. 😊
....57.....wife to support me(and my current 8-4)(paper trading for about 12months).....slow and steady........start small and don't get crazy...😃 good luck
Hey Ross, how about starting to learn trading in my late 60ties?
Thanks for all you do!!!
I’ll do a video on later ages soon!
That's great. Thanks!!!@@DaytradeWarrior
Me too. I'm 68.
Love the setting! We need a tour pls :)
Also love how you tapped into your video and visual creativity with this video! Nice break from the usual classroom stuff
I just saw a sponsorship for Ross on Ross’s channel ha ha. I love his videos. Ross is one fantastic guy. His passion for the market is unmatched
You hit the nail right on the head with this one.
Thank you!!
I think you are overlooking a demographic, retirees. I am retiring at the end of this year and looking for income to supplement social security. I have a 401K and an IRA but my goal is not to touch them if I don't have to. I own my home and I'm debt free so my living expenses are low. I started this past Monday with $190 taking $50 trades. After one week and seven trades my account is down 0.68%. I have no intention of adding more money until I'm confident in strategy. I'm still learning the lingo and where to find what I need to see in the software. I fully intend to sign up for your classes. I just want to at least have the basics down to be better able to understand what you are teaching. Thank You for the UA-cam videos! I also appreciate the way you make time for your kids even when recording a video. 👍 I was never very good at that. Always telling them "Not now, I'm working". Your attitude and philosophy are what make you successful I believe. God Bless. Jeff
Yes absolutely; I’ll do another video about trading during retirement. All valid points!
Do the simulator for as long as it takes to be consistent GREEN ..it makes a big difference..I'm 62 and in exact situation as you described...
Then use real money..I did a few months now money and I'm at 4 Green a week .. pretty much.. sometimes no RED..
All Thanx to Ross..Good Luck..👍
@@grantandsatine nice job
Use a demo account first before using real money.
Then self fund or try for a funded account. Don’t need to use your own money trading. Not until you get good results on demo at least.
HI Ross, truly, thank you for these videos man. U remind me of my fav teacher.
I’m feeling this right now at 39. Only started trading futures one year ago. I only passed one prop firm eval. I have the time to trade at work but the mental gymnastics of family, money, and responsibilities hinder my emotions when trading. I’m working on journaling and preventing my self sabotaging when trading.
When I started, I focused on the percentage gain. Because 10% is 10% no matter if you have $500 or $50,000.
which is what’s so amazing about the markets. the same skill can get you 10x the amount of money in the same amount of time by simply sizing up.
amazing.
i can’t wait till i’m consistently profitable enough to go bigger.
Ross, really appreciate your videos. I'm in my 50's and due to the insane cost of living I am basically at rock bottom myself, so in a way I'm in the "most people in their 20's" group. I've been an electrician for 24 years and it's unbelievable to say but I can hardly afford to live on this income (which is why I'm learning to trade).
Me too. 68 here.
Yup Covid destroyed countless people’s futures
I’ll never financially recover.
Trading is the only way
graduated in 07 and hit the market in 08 without much luck. it was hard man. so many memories of failed interviews and rewriting my resume endlessly. also remember the movie "up in the air" with george clooney as a documentary of the times.
Yup!
I’m in my 40’s and would have been a heck of a lot easier to learn and do day trading back then. I’m slowly learning it now but I know I’ll get there. Thanks for another great video Ross.
Someone said if you loose 8% of your account in a week and 11% in a month, just stop trading and go back to the simulator.
That’s not unreasonable imo
@@DaytradeWarrior Thank you! A replay from real Ross, what an emotion :)
@@taniarakhavetskaya741 I tell you what, that's not Ross whos steering this boat bro. Ross would have said that you have nothing to do in the markets unless you have proven yourself profitable in a simulator.
I just want to say thank you! I had a 33% week last week thanks to your strategy, learning the volume to float ratio and watching for obvious set ups . The taking little wins method really pays off. Thank you ! Your content is life changing.
Please know, some crashed in 2008 and live in an RV in the AZ desert. Or like me, i used my retirement funds to take care of my elderly parents. I'm 68, living in Los Angeles' high prices, paycheck-to-paycheck, and starting at SQUARE ONE.
Thanks for all your teaching!
Todays episode was deep
Started trading February this year, last Friday I closed the day with a net YTD loss of 6k (14k account). I much needed this, thanks Ross
And the 2nd best time, is now!
Not only are you a phenomenal trader, but you’re an even better teacher. The comfort and confidence I get from watching your videos is enough to propel me through this initial trying period of being a beginner trader. I AM in my 20’s and I AM just getting started but I feel good! I feel aligned!
Thank you for existing man! Idk how I found your videos, but I’m beyond grateful!
EDIT: you truly do speak to my soul man haha! You genuinely say the right things at the right time. Keep doing what you’re doing 👏
I agree to that..
I'm 62 so much for the 20's...but I grateful I found Ross... I do have a IRA but I purposely am starting this with 5G ..and spending much time in simulator...👍
its harder than it looks❤

@@grantandsatine good for you man!
Starting to trade in your 20s is like having a superpower-low costs, flexibility, and the freedom to make mistakes without major setbacks. It’s the perfect time to experiment, learn, and build those trading instincts. Plus, trading small accounts early on forces you to get disciplined with risk management, a skill that will pay off big time later. Who else thinks that starting young gives you a serious edge in this game? Let's hear your thoughts!
All the greats, like Jim Simons, have made their billions by understanding these truths. At the core of it all is reversion-markets tend to return to key levels time and time again. It took me 15 years of chasing perfection to finally realize this. Master reversion, and you’ll be ahead of the curve.
Trust me, the path to success isn’t about complexity; it’s about consistency. Learn the one thing that changed everything for me after years of struggle. Reversion trading isn’t flashy, but it’s incredibly powerful when you understand how to apply it. Keep it simple, stay disciplined, and watch your trading transform.
59 and feel like 29 :). I just love this new chapter. Thank you Ross! You are an incredible man!
Thank you!!
I LOVE being a PRO member!! Thank you so much ROSS!!
Thank you so much for sharing Ross! I so look forward to ALL your videos.
Welcome to Canada 🇨🇦
After practicing with a simulator and doing well for a month, I lost $183 on my first real trades and cried like a baby and began questioning if this is really for me. That small amount is really significant for me 😢. Currently Trading with a cash account (being below pdt) so desperately hoping Ross will try a challenge of trading with a U.S. based cash only account so we can learn some skills in that situation where cash has to clear before being used 🙏
Great video. You are an amazing teacher Ross.
I just had this conversation with my step daughters. If they start now, they will be atleast profitable/descent by mid 20's with minimal pressure
I love the Ben and Jerry’s shirt! I’m from Vermont and a big fan! 🎉

You’ve been a blessing in my life, thank you for your guidance I am in my 20s and I found this helpful. I will be successful in day trading
ross as always i really enjoy all of your videos thank you sir i myself especialy liked this one great info sir !!
Ive found it much more helpful to start out with just 1 share in actual market and tracking the percentage gain & loss. Being in the simulator is just not the same.
Looking at the percentage gain or loss and applying what that ideally would be if using ideal trade amount. Yes I know you'd get slippage on buys and sells so its not perfect but atleast it gives you a glimpse of win/loss record to test your methods. Still fine tuning, but making better habits selling losers faster.
I'm in California and work a couple of business days during the week. Weekdays I get up and start trading 3:30 AM PST and on days I work, I trade until about 5 AM. On the days I have off, I trade until maybe 8 or 9 AM PST. I've recently made a huge turn in my trading and the future looks bright. For now though, this works until I can make the transition to full time day trader and having the freedom that comes along with it.
But nothing moving in this time of the morning
@@guernanei4179 That's not true. Stocks make moves pre-market all the time and at 4 AM, when a lot of broker's start allowing pre-market trading, there is a lot of action. It's like a mini market open and my broker allows me to start trading at 1 AM PST. I take multiple trades every morning pre-market.
Thanks for sharing. Can you recommend a good simulation trading platform?
@@MaddisonSheldon I know that Ross says to use a simulator until you prove you're profitable, but the emotional response and cognitive dissidence are nowhere near the same with paper money and real money. I would suggest using a simulator with a real broker to get familiar with the trading software, reading LV.2 and the tape, as well as configuring your own personal hotkeys. Do this until you feel comfortable with everything and then start trading with real money. Do really small shares (ex. 1-10 ) per trade. Once you are consistent for a few weeks, start scaling up. If you're hesitating taking a trade because you're afraid to lose money, your share size is too big. At the end of everyday and even on days I'm not trading, I journal in a physical book. I find putting pen to paper helps me retain my thoughts. Screen record you're trading so you can go over your mistakes. This will help with seeing what the LV.2 and the tape does during breakouts, jackknife's, etc..
The broker I use is CMEG. It's an international broker that allows me to bypass the PDT rule. They have a simulator that you can use to get familiar with the software. There are websites that will give you a free 2 week trial if you look around. If you need any other information or helps finding the link let me know.
Good Luck!!!
It’s about building you’re skill level
good edit good music great profit
Ross the problem most people when you’re beginning as I had is that you’re focused on dollars and time like a 9to 5 job
And that is totally wrong ! You first have to focus on the process of finding the setups you’re looking for
And entry and exit , as you know the market doesn’t care about bills that are due on the 1st
And so it’s unrealistic to assume by a certain time you will have x amount of money
I started trading a year ago at 21 with a 2,000 cash account and ive just been trading with 10-20 shares so i didnt blow my account while learning. I just recently started upping my positions to 50-100 shares. Hopefully one day ill get to the point of making a few hundred a day.
I live on the west coast but the hardest thing for me isn’t trading, it is getting up at 4am. I don’t do it. I get up by 7am and miss most of the early moves. I don’t know how people get up at 4am. Would be worth making a video to discuss whether the sacrifice (for us night owls) is worth it for the potential for extra gains. If it is, I may just discipline myself to get to bed by 8pm…
Definitely going to find success following big Ross Cameron
Thanks You!!!
Im 35 Started 1.5 years ago never had a lot money i hit rock bottom so meny times i realy think 2 weaks ago was the last time for me coming to another round tommorow💪
Can you make a software tutorial? What programs do you use and how to use them?
I'm a 42-year-old motorcycle mechanic and I don't want to learn another trade on top of all the ones I have learned. So I started trading about 6 months ago. I love Ross's teaching. I've learned so much in a short time. I feel like I should be paying for it. I'm down half of my $1,000 startup money but I've been making it back the last 2 weeks with minimal red days from 8 to 20 bucks a day and it doesn't feel like anything but I know once I size up it's going to change my life. Every time I feel like quitting Ross says something else in one of his videos That hits home so hard that I just dig deeper. I can never quit. I'm doing it for these kids now
Ross, please recommend a book for volume analysis TY !!!
How can I put a stop to my years of over trading habit? It over and over. If I could just flick a switch I would have made some money. I'm usually up green, but the over trade monster with greed always shows it's face..
That’s emotion and discipline. When you are ready to follow the rules, you can do it. It’s a choice to decide I’m only going to take 1 trade a day for 10 days and see if I’m in a better place.
Great advice. I had the same issue @mrdukedo.
I did what Ross suggested. I decided to only have 1-2 trades regardless of the outcome. Never before 9 am and always when the 4 hour candle starts, which is 9 AM. If it’s a loss I will look for a second trade. If that’s a loss I stop until the next 4 hour candle starts, which is 1 pm
I just stick to this rule and it helped me stop taking 20-40 trades a day while working FT
@@DaytradeWarrior thank you

Not required at all
I generally agree with your videos, but I have a different perspective on this one. I firmly believe that most 20yo aren’t mature enough for the game. At that age, you’re often driven more by hormones, greed and lack interest in risk management. They should stick to simulators and paper money.
That's a very generalized statement. I'm 27 and I disagree. If you have a good perspective and willing to take advice you can learn anything
