@@dhibleedaxafada8199 I had the same proplem I stopped doing my 100000000 steps skin care routine and just used water and it got better but idk your skin. It works for me but u have to try idk. Also u can use some ice cubes, make it a Lil bit wet and put it on your pimples for 2 min and make little pauses between. If u feel uh there's a pimple coming then do this, it will probably just go back.

Alot of times makeup can look cakey because of the rubbing motions you are using to apply product either with a brush or fingers. You are creating micro exfoliation and dead skin cells are being lifted and balling up causing the cakey look. a damp beauty blender and patting motions can change your entire look and give a much better airbrushed look rather than cake face!

Oily skin routine
1) Exoliate
2) Moisturize
3) Primer for oily skin
4) Colour correcting (dark circles/oily skin and/or eyelids)
5) Foundation for oily skin
6) Setting powder for oily skin
7) Setting spray - to set the makeup
(It is a lot of makeup steps.)
Note: Most women have oily skin - especially if they are in the hot weather a lot. I'm lazy and on a budget and like to do my makeup fast, so I just blot out my face oils in the restroom and re-apply makeup. The foundation I use isn't for oily skin. I can do my makeup in 3 minutes - full face. If I had a professional makeup artist or the budget - I would take my time doing my makeup. I just put on moisturizer once in a while when I do my makeup. 😊Back in the days I wouldn't wear moisturizer - just foundation, and once in a while - I would use powder, so I'm lazy!!!!! Lol😊😂😂😂😂
This is the last time I'm commenting on this specific topic. My choice for the thumbnail was to edit it to look cakey rather than actually use foundation to fake a cakey face.. I could of created something terrible looking with real foundation too; but I filmed, edited and uploaded this in a day so it was easier on my part! I ofcourse want my thumbnail to stand out - as every youtuber does so it's a little dramatic I'll admit. Does that affect my morals? I don't believe it does at all. If I portrayed something in the thumbnail that was untrue in the video then I could understand the frustration. But I displayed a visual representation of "cake face" digitally rather than physically. Next time I'll take the time to actually do it if it bothers people so much! Sorry if it offended or frustrated you... ps, I joked about it being because I didn't want to waste real foundation on twitter and some took it seriously (my dry sense of humour) 😂 anywho it's not that serious - I love you guys.

I've literally tried EVERYTHING but nothing works if it doesn't look cakey when I apply it , it will after like 1 hour

And also have you tried using different tools to apply foundation? Sponge, brush, etc.
And also do you use a good setting spray?

1. Clean your face before makeup (exfoliate and moisturise)
2. Use a primer to prevent the foundation from "cakeing" and to last longer
3. I'd use a beauty blender/sponge for foundation if you have textured skin , as brushes make the foundation stick to dry skin/spots etc
4. Set foundation with powder
5. Use a setting spray ?
Make sure the products you use are of good quality , as if you're using a bad quality of powder it will make it look cakey & don't go overboard with powders like bronzer , blush etc ! To much will make it look cakey
not trying to be annoying but it's foundation your putting a thick paste on your face lol it's destined to look cakey I mean there are ways to make it less cakey but at the end of the day it's foundation unless you have super nice skin it will look less cakey
Asma Karachouli especially if your skin is oily, moisturize and do other skincare at least half an hour before makeup! another trick that helps me is I prime my face, set with setting spray, then do foundation, powder, and then setting spray again at the end. works wonders!!

this actually helped, I literally watched this, went to the store and bought some materials you used and tried and it actually helped the cakey face.

I always tend to have a cakey foundation look once in a while, and the whole setting spray aspect did help me out SO MUCH, thank you love!

OMG if I put that much moisturizer on my face it would slide off in an hour. Yes I do moisturize, but just enough to hydrate.
Everyone's skin is different, mine absorbs really quickly especially because it's water based so do what works for your skin type ofcourse ❤❤

I do... and then use a mattifying balm on top otherwise I would be an oil slick.
Omg I'm so glad you addressed the cream and then powder thing, because one time, I put on like liquid, and then powder, then felt like I needed a little more and put it over the powder and my face ended up looking SUPER cakey and splotchy and I went to school, then ended up going to the bathroom and washing it all off because it wasn't even worth wearing. So now, if people make that mistake and their makeup looks cakey, they now know after watching and don't have to do what I did. Also, a tip for everyone: try to have a friend who is truthful about everything (even if they're a little too truthful to where you might get upset with them), because that's the friend who kept me from embarrassing myself with all of that mess of foundation.

The left picture is really sharp so it brings out things you don't even know are visible. You can see exactly what my face looks like in the video so I wouldn't call it deceiving? Anywho, I'm trying to show you how to prevent makeup from looking like the left image in the thumbail.

So this video was everything. Turns out I was doing several things wrong. This time around I:
Moisturized the hell out of my face the night before and did collagen eye pads. Extra thick cream on the red spots.
Put two layers of primer and let each one dry between.
Dabed drops all over face (was previously putting it straight on the brush)
Got a new “buffer” brush instead of a flat foundation brush.
It looks professionally done.

My steps to reduce creasing on makeup (for all skin types)
1) Make sure to wash your face with cleanser, keep your face clean. This is important to remove the excess amount of oils and sweats on your face
2) Never apply moisturizer first, moisturizer does help on moisturising your face, but it does not moisturize your skin to the extent level, instead apply toner on your face first, it helps to keep your face hydrated and reduce creasing
3) Apply serum, it moisturize your skin and helps you to achieve the soft and dewy makeup look
4) Apply moisturizer
5) Apply sunscreen, best with SPF
6) Apply primer (This step isn't compulsory, primer is just a base to keep your makeup fresh, if you don't prep your skin's properly, whatever type of primer is useless.)
5) Then only apply foundation, your foundation can be anything, but if your skin are prone to acne or has any scars/camouflage, it's best to colour correcting your face before applying foundation. Choose hydrating (dewy) type of foundation for dry skin instead the matte one, matte foundation is more suitable for oily type skin tone.
As someone that's working as a beauty consultant, preventing any creases on your face is most likely impossible. But it can be reduced if you prep your skin's with the correct steps. Makeup doesn't need to be perfect, it needs to be something that suits your skin. The reality is you cannot keep your makeup look flawless all the time, it can be cakey anytime under the sunlight, so make sure to prep your skin properly.

Suwadou Park Vitamin C or using chemical exfoliators such as BHA/AHA helps with the scarring and color correction. Snail mucin skin care products also are very good for treating scarring.

You should use SKII products if you're crazy about skin care. After all, We only got one face lol. And you will see improvement in your skin in a month if you use their whole system like cleanser, toner, moisturiser, facial essence, eye cream, cream, & uv protection Cream (no flash back despite the spf). And the makeup sits on it beautifully. I notice my skin has brightened since I started using SKII system a year ago, like glowing from within.

If you are a fair skin tone instead of using a green to correct your redness use a yellow. I have just found it works better on my fair skin.

Just a tip, use your eye cream before your face cream because if you get your moisturiser a little higher on accident it will block your eye cream from actually penetrating the skin.

Always apply your eye cream first. Applying moisturiser under your eyes first acts like a barrier and prevents your eye cream from working
The bottom half of your face specifically chin and mouth look way darker is that just my screen
I've been doing a Korean skin care routine & it's helped SO much!! I get bad breakouts on my chin & forward, but with this new routine it's been helping clean it up. I've also noticed how much longer my make up has been lasting because of properly taking care of my skin!! If you are curious about Korean skin care look up Liah Loo!! 🙌🏼

Try a more oily foundation and use a lot and don’t use powder unless it’s compressed bc a loose powder will make it look cakey asf. Prime the face, foundation, conceal under eyes, & use a blender. My face was always caked and this is what helped me! I have bad acne scars and you can still see them even with makeup but it’s no longer cakey. It used to be so bad bc I was doing it wrong and using loose powder. I hope this helps someone!! The foundation I use is maybelline age rewind and blend it with a sponge! (:

Hi there. Thanks for being so transparent when it comes to dealing with problematic skin. It makes me feel less alone in the struggle. I was watching another video of yours from january 2018 where it seems you’re acne resurfaced moreso than what I can see in this video from 2017. Would you be able to share the skincare routine that resulted in the decrease of acne you have here and then maybe explain why you think it came back? I only ask, not to offend, but because I am the same way. I won’t break out for a few months and then bam, even with the same skincare routine, the acne comes back. I’m at a loss and hoping your answers can point me in the right direction! Thank you!
