Long COVID Prevalence and Most Common Symptoms - Outpatient and Severe Patients (UK, Italy, France, Germany)
Let's review the prevalence of long COVID in the UK. We will extrapolate for the USA. And, we will also review a study from 2020 demonstrating long COVID in acute COVID patients. Finally, we will also review a study for the characteristics of long COVID in France.

Not sure about long covid in the Uk it’s strange that none of the symptoms can be proven. My brother never had covid, but has developed tinnitus and feeling Unwell since his vaccination.
Vaccination has same effect as actual covid infection.check recent Dr. Mobeen vidoes
Actually ....some can be measured but not understood yet
Tinnitus can be a rare side effect of many vaccines, unfortunately, one in 9,600. Also, COVID infection can cause tinnitus. An audiologist can evaluate the tinnitus and offer treatment tools.
B12 deficiency?
Yes, many side effects of the vaccine are also long covid symptoms.
UK resident. Covid march 20. Was very ill but not hospitalized. Long covid since then. Have multi system symptoms (23 in total as of now) that come and go in timing and intensity, but never free of all. Woke up Xmas morning 20 (9 mths later) with every joint in my body sore having never had joint pain prior. Is my most debilitating symptom, along with fatigue. Unvaccinated as couldn't bear giving myself another dose when still suffering LC, and trusted my gained natural immunity. Got omicron ba2 Feb 22. Quite poorly again. Day 20 & 21 felt amazing, like before I ever got covid, then day 22 all LC symptoms began returning, increasing since then. I do have a diagnosis of LC but I've had to research for myself and push every step of the way with suggestions of tests or meds (not able to prescribe ivm or ldn). Was given NSAIDs which caused spontaneous capillary bleeding, and referred to physio who suggests breathing exercises but my lungs are okay (consultant immunologist was contacted in response to my suggestion my symptoms mcas like but refuted on basis I've not had anafalaxsis!) Am exhausted hitting head on
THE brick wall. No pro active help whatsoever. Left to fend for ourselves when both acutely ill at home and living with LC. Under NO other circumstance, prior to covid, would patients be left to live with such debilitating symptoms without actively trying to treat. Just get told I know more than they do on the subject. It's not the individual doctors at fault, it's the whole system😞😡 Huge thank you Dr Been for providing excellent education and a voice of reason.
Update: Finally managed to get LDN prescribed privately through the wonderful LDN research website. Not expensive for a private drug. On third week. Still have pain and other symptoms but fatigue and sleeping better so fingers crossed 🤞
Find a functional doctor and get high dose Vitamin C infusion with zinc and Glutathione - it will give body a helping hand and drain spikes out through urine. Drink lots of Dandelion tea, occasionally also Pine needle tea. Check your Vitamin D3 (25 hydroxy) levels and get them between 40-70 through supplements. Rest alot so body can fight the remnant virus or spike proteins that are stuck in cells in your blood or tissues, drink lots of mineral good filtered water, take Liposomal Vitamin C regularly and if fatigued CoEnzyme Q10 (high bioavailability supplement).
" Under NO other circumstance, prior to covid, would patients be left to live with such debilitating symptoms without actively trying to treat".
Unfortunately, this isn't true, there are millions of people around the globe who have been suffering the devastating effects of oxidative stress (inflammation) for years, and even decades, without doctors actively trying to treat. Their problem is assumed to be psychological and they are left to fend for themselves.
As you say, "it's not the individual doctors at fault, it's the whole system".

REALLY did the trick. NAC is good and I take that on a regular basis now but in the early days I felt 100% better within 24 hours of taking Liposomal Glutathione.

Did you know the underlying concept of homeopathy is this: The more diluted something is, the better it works. I kid you not. In lab testing of homeopathic solutions, not one molecule per vial of the active ingredient could be found. That's how diluted it is, yet they claim it works. Now try that with beer. Dilute it to nothing, you'll get drunk really fast. Ludicrous! That's why no medical field supports homeopathy.

Filed for SSDI disability this week. Tinnitus is the symptom I worry about the least as it has less impact than a constant headache or fatigue.

Any prayer, any at all, needs to be meant - it needs to come from ones heart. And yes, if one wants his prayers to be answered then one must REPENT. A wicked sinners prayers GOD won`t hear. I was in the same bout, i prayed but nothing happens, until i truly REPENTED and now most of my prayers is answered. @@theharshtruthoutthere go thump your bible elsewhere.
@@alan4sure why not here too?
So if you’re fully vaxxed, get covid, then long covid - is it coming from the covid infection itself, or the vaccine or both?
You can end up with long covid even when fully vax
In many cases, the Vax itself caused long covid with multiple neagtive nucleocapsid tests proving there was no viral infection
There were also my thoughts. How many vaccinated patients suffer from a long COVID and how many unvaccinated? Because all cases were not investigated clinically, it is possible that some patients believe only in a long COVID but in reality they may suffer side effects from vaccination.
My mum is unvaxxed (immune issues), got low/asymptomatic covid early 2020 when her husband did. She is still suffering from severe mental, physical impacts to the point she is non functional, still virtually no sense of smell/taste, memory blanks. Tested negative for dementia, stroke etc etc.
Both. If you had covid before vax you could get long covid. After vax you can still get it almost just as much. You can also get long covid directly from the vaccine.
I consider long covid with lack of visible damage…to lungs, heart etc. People hospitalized with long road to recover would most likely have damage to the organs that needs to heal….heart, lungs, clots etc. 🇨🇦
Thank you Dr. Been. I have had very mild tinnitus since a teenager (I'm a senior person now). The covid tinnitus stayed with me about 2 months following omicron back in December. I'm a high school teacher, and exposure to students with 'covid' causes my tinnitus to start up again. The ringing is very loud and debilitating compared to tinnitus experienced pre-covid.
When you have tinnitus you can be evaluated by an audiologist who will use sounds to try and cancel out that sound. Once successful they choose a making device to help train your brain away from paying so much attention to the sound.

I had covid back in 2020. Yes still have long covid effects. Shortness of breath, sometimes loss of smell. I try not to bother the doctor anymore gave up on that one years ago. Simple, take: daily Aspirin (forever), Niacin, NAC, anti-histamine (does not matter which), Nicotine, Neem, Magnesium (for at least 3 months 1 g per day) AND Vesugen peptide bioregulator to regenerate your blood vessels and microcirculation in all capillaries and organs. Potentially also Chonluten peptide bioregulator (if there are breathing problems).
Nicotine??? Nicotine constricts your blood vessels, it puts stress on the circulatory system. I say this as a person who after Omicron has suffered heart/circulatory issues. I had quit smoking about a year and a half before getting Omicron in January 2022, and I had switched to vaping nicotine and had a goal to be completely off the vape in early 2022. Now getting Omicron made that goal a reality I reached, because I could not vape after without serious obvious effects on my heart and circulation and was forced to stop, I never even knew that nicotine constricted blood vessels until I had to look into what nicotine does due to knowing it was wreaking havoc on my post Omicron system. Now I am doing good, I take an array of tinctures - garlic to thin blood, hawthorne to dilate blood vessels and cayenne to increase circulation (not a drug type of person). I started out having to take these at their max recommended amounts of 5x a day, now down to 2-3x times a day, though they allow me to function normally with a lot of energy I can tell the moment they start to wear off. What I can't have is anything that effects my circulation . . . I have even had to cut out coffee, or basically if I do indulge in just one cup of coffee it is a 3-4 times a day dose to make up for the fact that caffeine also negatively effects blood circulation. As to taking aspirin forever? Well one can take garlic tincture and it does the same job IMO, and also comes with other health benefits as well.
Simple, huh Sherlock?

From what I've heard, tinnitus is more often an adverse reaction from the vax.
Also, I wonder how many of those who reported increased symptoms after 6 months had received the vax after having COVID, which is actually responsible for the increased symptoms?
I got tinnitus from the virus, I got the vax after and it helped a little. Same situation for my partner
@@jimmydavis7587 that's completely anecdotal evidence and should never be used to make scientific assumptions..
A coworker of mine woke up the very next morning after his first dose of one of the mRNA vaccines, (which one I don't know) but with a 'ringing' in the right ear, or the perception of, is it Tinnitus, coincidental, we'll never know, but he also suffered neurological issues as well in his right arm, the injection arm, and experienced sharp pains in his right foot every other step.
His symptoms have lessened and or subsided so he says, but he seems to have reduced hearing, I have to repeat 50% of the things I say to him. He, like the majority of others, got his second dose, and booster with no side effects reported. I think he did, but he wants to justify his decision.
Since then he contracted Omicron, and it hit him hard, he says it was one of the worst flu-like illnesses he has ever suffered and he states that it could have been worse had he not been vaccinated. My reply, how do you know. He's 50, with no comorbidities, and in good health.
Our employer, his wife, and her mother contracted the original Covid before the vaccines were available, suffered through it, each is over 50 and overweight, one with one or more comorbidities. Our employer eventually got his first vaccination because he was told to, he was in the ER within 45 minutes, with "Chest Pressure" as he described it, the attending ER physician attributed it to vaccine-induced stress. He is still suffering undiagnosable/treatable issues or his doctors don't know what to do.
There's a lot more to this, but I've gone on too long as it is.
Exactly my thoughts. How can they be sure what is causing the long term problems - virus or vaccination.
Research snake venom, Covid, mRNA and it becomes clear why people are experiencing these symptoms.. possibly venom poisoning.
I might add to my previous comment (should be right below this comment) that I tested positive in April 2021 and that a young strong healthy friend of mine that was helping me in my garden caught covid from me and tested positive and whereas I did not get very sick he came down with the full symptoms: 104 deg. fever, then cough, then loss of sense of taste and smell, etc.
What is not helpful about the ONS study from UK is no reference to whether the sufferers are vaccinated or not; surely a basic question to ask.
Thank you Dr Mobeen for your diligent and wonderful work.
I had exactly what Dr Been talked about back in November of 2020 with the Alpha variant and I had exhaustion for 4 months with sinus issues and a sore throat. Then I had shortness of breath for six months and slightly get it as I've had other sicknesses. I think it boils down to nutrient deficiencies. People who are overworked, badly fed or already ill will have deficiencies. It fits the risk groups perfectly. Things like niacin and all the good things you get from vegetables
Not necessarily vegetables, some people do a carnivore diet to recover from long covid. idk, life is strange and we know nothing.

LC for 15 months now. Not vaccinated at the time. Main symptoms fatigue and brain fog. Patterson protocol did not help. FLCC protocol also did not help. I think it’s autoimmune. Hoping for BC007 (against G-coupled receptor anti-autobodies) to become available which seems to be the only treatment putting people into complete remission.
I am doing pacing, no sugar, no alcohol, anti-inflammatory diet. I also did hyperbaric oxygen, countless vitamin supplements, cold showers, pro-biotics, pulsed prednisone, beta-blockers, anti-histamines... Some of it helps a bit but nothing is close to a cure. I was healthy before. 35 years, male, not obese, non smoking, no prior health problems. My acute covid was almost asymptomatic and now I can't work for 15 months.
I have CFS/M.E and have found a non pharmaceutical antiinflammatory protocol helpful at minimizing the severity of my symptoms.
Diet was the biggest single source of relief, I follow a paleo like low carb diet high in vegetables and lots of herbs and spices (high in antioxidants and antiinflammatory compounds) pacing your energy, learning not to push through the symptoms and relax, meditate, nap.
@@homaha Are you also taking supplements and vitamins? What does the anti inflammatory protocol consist of exactly? Would be interested in this.
@@GenXer333 I have stopped supplements now but some do help a wee bit.
Namely probiotics, turmeric and ashwagandha.
I say a wee bit because there are so many things that contribute to CFS/M.E synptoms and many are somewhat out of your control. So you can do everything right and still have trouble. It is near impossible to say those supplements actually did anything or if I just had a long string of good luck.
First off you have to understand there are things you can control and things you cannot. And some you have some influence over but not much. And all these things contribute to fatigue and inflammation.
Fatigue itself leads to inflammation and inflammation leads to fatigue. They are not the same but walk side by side down the same nasty old road. So you have to try to minimize both.
Things you can control.
Diet and what goes into your body!
How much work/exercise you do.
Habits such as drinking alcohol, taking stimulants or various other drugs.
Sleep patterns.
Toxins in your home/environment. I find sprays and perfumes have a slight irritating effect so stopped using them and went natural with essential oils. Not everyone will have this sensitivity but some do.
Things you cannot control
Getting sick or a cold.
Strong emotional stresses. Loss of job. Break up. Death in family etc.
Periods of adverse weather (winter or extreme summer)
Things you have limited control over
Environment and where you are eg Noise. Lighting. Temperature etc.
During travel your diet can be hard to maintain.
If working, sometimes the workload can become too much.
Overthinking. This is very difficult to stop although meditation is worth learning and practicing. Or taking micro naps can help.
By taking control of what you can. And minimizing the harm where possible of those you cannot.
As for other antiinflammatory herbs and spices there are many.
Eat your colours everyday. Add a little bit of herbs and spices in your meals for the extra antioxidants.
With this process I have a lot more control over my life and energy. But it is not a cure. Only it minimizes the severity of symptoms for day to day living.

There is no way for them to know who had what variant. They aren't sequencing everyone. In the entirety of the United States there are only 4 laboratories that have the ability to sequence them and they sequence less than 1% of all cases. Therefore, they can't possibly know. This is completely unscientific.
10% instead of 8% because recent infections are not included in the ONS data
I had the illness back at the beginning of January. As in today, I'm still having problems with shortness of breath, which is worse when accompanied by a rapid heartbeat and chest tightness. I have been going in and out of my PCP's office. I was then referred to a cardiologist who recently determined that I have atrial tachycardia which in itself might not be dangerous, but I'm due for two ultrasounds in a few days. Basically, they still do not know the exact cause. Yet, I had none of this before the Covid. 😒
Edit: I was mistaken about atrial tachycardia, sorry you have this phenomenon! Do check for POTS, however.
That's completely incorrect. Atrial tachycardia is a form of SVT, like atrial fibrillation but with a regular rhythm. I have it and my heart rate reaches 250bpm and it won't stop because the heart is stuck out of rhythm. What your thinking if is simply tachycardia, which you get after exercise and stress etc. Atrial tachycardia is a electrical malfunction of the heart

I am a vax long hauler and I do have tinnitus over a year later
Hoping that if symptoms come back after I am reinfected, that they will leave more quickly than the first time. Vax injury but hoping that eventually it will become a big worry in the meantime.
Never had covid. But I got sick 2 weeks after the 1st vaccine(Pfizer mRNA). Got better after 3 months. Had no idea that my sickness was caused by the vaccine. So got the 2nd vaccine. All symptoms came back 2 weeks and 3 days later. After examining my calendar I concluded that my symptoms were highly correlated with the two vaccine shots. Now 1-1/2 years later I am not much better. Every doctor I go to refuses to help me. They have been intimidated. One doctor actually ran out of the room when I told him my symptoms started with the vaccine. He never came back. So far I have had no suggestions to help my malady. Symptoms: Numb and tingly(N&T) front teeth. N&T nose and skin surrounding nose. Similarly N&T stomach ache. Queasy. Fatigue. Not quite to the point of vomiting. Slight dizziness. Headache. It's like my head is N&T. Feet are cold and burning all the time everyday. Fingers are very cold. Grasping a meat thermometer from the kitchen I measure my fingers at room temperature. Everyone else measures 85F to 92F. But I am consistently room temp 72F. My wife helps put thermometer on my toes and they are also at 72F. Fingers and toes are never warm. I never have a fever. I keep my feet and hands in heating pads. When I shake hands with someone they commonly snatch their hands back and ask where have I had my hands, in a freezer? At 8 months after vaccine I had to get a heart stent. So far I have found no one to help me.
Question: In terms of "long covid". Have you found long covid in people who have NOT had the vaccine? Can we rule out that long covid is not really just a side effect of the vaccine? I would figure that anyone that got covid is going to run out and get the vaccine ASAP. And then long covid sets in. Or maybe there is something about the vaccine and covid itself that causes these symptoms.
So roughly half of long-covid patients have issues with fatigue. How is this criteria assessed just out of curiosity?
Contrasting this illness to CFS/M.E for example.
Do you think 51% of these long covid cases, eg roughly 4% of all infected will essentially develop a varient of CFS/M.E?

3 months now after getting Delta in December (non vaxxed). I've noticed three things: 1) my body smell changed, or I think it changed (most probably the 2nd option is valid). To me my armpits smell like spicy herbs from India which is quite strange. 2) My coffee taste changed, again a little bit peppery 3) major 24/7 tinnitus that doesn't go away. Bear in mind that I take multivitamins since August, curcumin, and black cumin oil so any of these symptoms could be from these supplements but I doubt it. Some times I'm a little fatigued. One thing that helps with long work days and fatigue is Taurine.

Day 4 extreme nausea and abdominal swelling but no diarrhea. Day 5 nasal congestion and loss of smell/ taste. Not much cough at all but I nebulized with saline right away on day 1.
4 1/2 weeks on and I have fatigue/ headaches / Tinnitus every day. I normally do not get headaches ever. My head feels weird, congested. My short term memory is shot. Pathological fatigue which varies from day to day. Yesterday I felt pretty good but today really achy and exhausted again. I’ve had chest pain a few rimes as well and tachycardia most days. Sudden drops in BP as well.

There are many symptoms including these you mention. Google long Covid, you will find a ton. Look through Dr. Mobeen's videos for more information. Many people are disabled from Long Haulers both post Covid and post vacc. Also Facebook has support groups with many going through same things. Check out the FLCCC protocols. Yes, I have seen news reports of this loss of functioning/remembering after taking the vaccine in Japan. These patients were stating that tasks they used to be able to do and remember easily have now become difficult. Some have had to quit their jobs due to this. Very sad to see. Younger kids are also struggling with loss of balance and overall bodily weakness. They can no longer go to school or do the sports they loved.

im so tired and exhausted ... I cannot argue or fight for myself in healthcare facilities - they don't get it...even at long covid clinics
There is no real treatment - thats why they don't get it. Another way to look at it is even if they got it, they wouldn't be able to really help because there is no treatment anyway. I've found intermittent fasting helped for me somewhat - I also hear fish oil and vitamin D might help too. Rest when you can, get plenty of sleep, eat healthily and avoid over-exerting yourself and getting malaise relapse. Fingers crossed it passes soon... I tested positive 6 weeks ago on 1st April... they say most people get well after 12 weeks.
Tinnitus is so minor compared to not being able to walk it is lost in the list.

There are some highly educated scientific people who have looked at many, many scientific papers about the immune system, cancer and the spike protein (acquired by va**ine or infection) and have joined the dots. It may be quite likely that cancer, autoimmune diseases and neurological degeneration conditions will become common in the future - most likely in those who are genetically predisposed or in people with profoundly unhealthy lifestyles. One analysis postulated that an increased number of 'blood' cancers (blood, bone, lymph system, etc.) would show up within 2 years and solid tumours within 10 years.

It messes with the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems so there are many possible reasons why there is a lack of energy. It will take a while to figure it out for most people, but may never be figured out for others. Look at CFS/ME patient channels and you'll see what I mean. Long COVID = jab injury
No, that's wrong. But it's true that the jabs trigger long covid in a not too small population that are probably even worse off because they are ignored.
@@MrMadalien what is wrong is mandates for an experimental medical procedure. Long covid is almost exclusively the jabbed.
@@jbraymick1602 Again wrong. I think you're conflating things. It's true that a lot of people with long covid got vaccinated because they were very afraid and thought the vaccine would work (but it didn't). Actually if you go on the community forums/groups almost everyone agrees that the vaccines were a net negative for long covid. I caught covid in 2020 and have long covid since, although it is not too severe and I can mostly live normally, I just can't travel, party or exercise, which is sucky. @@MrMadalien swelling of the heart and scar damage can be hereditary. You could be conflating natural causes. I say this because we didn't hear anything about long covid until the vax rolled out. It was the amount of time the people in trials were not being tracked after about 3 months.
@@jbraymick1602 you didn't hear anything about long covid, but I did, I found out about it by researching my own post covid symptoms in summer 2020. the media used long covid to scare people in to getting vaccinated. the reality is, long covid was happenning in 2020 just as much, and a lot of those people are still sick. After 2021 vax rollout, long covid is still happenning. There is a study that showed prevalence of long covid in vaccinated infections ("breakthrough" infections) and it was almost the same as unvaccinated. i.e everyone can get long covid. By the way, I have no respiratory or cardiovascular symptoms at all aside from palpitations sometimes, my issues are most neurological and energy related, which is very common in long covid.
