idk about some of the cards being 'good' but a lot of the designs are so interesting. Like Pocket Dimension? What a fascinating way to interact with an established mechanic.
Kara the dark star in excavate warlock is insane... the moarg drillfist duplication strategy using shadow spells, this is a winmore and helps not only CC, but also press inevitable lethal from snake even faster...
Abduction ray will probably be nice if there's a way to discount it. Like, even if you just reduce it to one, it basically becomes the warlock study card but trading discover for an additional mana reduction and echo (though technically better than echo since the copy can cost 0 if you can manage it.)
@@vietquang8739 i agree that it's slightly better with the 'demons not from your deck' synergy, but the average demon is kinda unimpressive... it is mana cheat so maybe it'll be fire anyway 🙏
Idk what they're doing this set, but adding 5 random fire spells to your deck sounds like the exact opposite of what you want in elemental mage lol. It's all about the elemental chain, and drawing too many spells in a row means no more chain.
The fact that a good chunk of the changes here are reversions is what baffles me Thank God Tsunami is back to how it used to be and that Radiant Elemental is getting the Sorcerer's Apprentice treatment. How that thing managed to dodge nerfs for lile 7 years is insane. But what more proof do we need that they are really just changing cards by the seat of their pants while being slow as hell to implement changes the community suggested for months or even years!
Copies from echo don't retain cost reduction of the original and cannot cost less than 1. I assume that will not be the case for Abduction Ray, but I am not completely sure.
@@petross8083 oh wait a second. You play the card 5 times and you get all demons you get costing 2 mana and then if we got the card to 0 mana it counts for the demons added also get 0 mana?
@@DaTruDreamers Abduction ray costs 2 mana and gives you a demon that costs 2 less. On turn 10, you can spend 10 mana to play abduction ray 5 times, getting 5 demons that cost 2 less each, but you're out of mana and have to wait until next turn to play them. However, if you manage to reduce the cost of abduction ray to 1, you can play it 5 times and still have 5 mana left to play some of the demons you got. And if you manage to reduce it even further to 0, you can play it until your hand is full and still have 10 mana to play anything you generated. This would not be possible with echo, because only the first abduction ray would be cheaper.
Saraan is Blizzard never learning their lesson and constantly only putting DECK on these types of cards. Ah yes, let me buff my deck after I've drawn half of it and it's at least turn 6 if I happened to draw the 1 of on curve.
I think you really don't want to deal with the play pattern if saraan was any more consistent than how it has been printed. the saraan into overflow surger staying a dream most of the time is good for the game.
Let's be real, Marin is absolutely not dead, but he is probably going to stop being basically an auto include in every deck, which is great. I feel like deck diversity is the biggest thing for the neutral cards recently. They bumped Reno and Yogg to 10 so they're not in almost every deck for neutral board clears since 10 mana's such a bigger investment than even 9, and the marin nerf both made him less of an auto include, but also made it so you might actually choose other treasures more often, and they even tried to make the kobold playable, so he should be much less powerful but much more versatile now.
K'ara is at least more likely to stick than the priest one, pop its ability once and it's a 3/5, twice and it's a 3/7, add in its ability to kill smaller minions and leech bigger ones and I could see it being actually pretty annoying to deal with in the midgame for a lot of decks.
I just realized, dropping tsunami back to 8 mana just kills any hope left for tentacle decks again 😂 Iirc (from checking a bit ago, wouldn't have even known it existed otherwise lol) there's still the paladin spell that summons 3 5/5s, but they don't attack immediately, so it's not nearly as good as tsunami, or especially sunset volley.

missed a chance for calling the video mage looks FIRE
Reverb with K'ara could go crazy
in disney land
It took me up to this video to realise that Mix Tape is a fire spell
😊
Well done Blizzard, that is *chef's kiss* flavour
flavor text refers to how pocket always draws 3 with golganeth instead of using aoe ability (also lost a tournament game from doing that)
first time I ever noticed it but love that mixtape is a fire spell
Wait that Warlock health-steal spellburst can hit face
That's actually sick
Azerite snake redux
What's twist? seems like it could really shake things up.

Bro I prayed for this Tsunami revert, god is good.
Blasteroid with the best Toy Story reference - To infinity and.. even further!
Another expansion, another phonics session with Rarran

there are cards that reduce cost of demon that didn't start in your deck so I think the spell is better than we think

If there were like 2 more good demons, neutral or otherwise, it would be good. Rn, iffy.

As a french, its kind of funny to see rarran struggle with is on language 😂

“Repeatable this turn” isn’t there a mechanic called Echo for that term to be able to play the card again on the same turn?
Copies from echo don't retain cost reduction of the original and cannot cost less than 1. I assume that will not be the case for Abduction Ray, but I am not completely sure.

@@DaTruDreamers Maybe not, but getting 5 demons for 0 mana means you can also cast them the same turn.

Amen buddy. I remember Treehouse. But I was a YTV kid
super nova mage is what im looking foward too :D
"Mage situation is CRAZY (good)"
Pocket dimension is about to go crazy in wild quest mage decks-
I still find hilarious how he thinks they created Twist with the intent of working on it for more than one week.
Doesn't incendius create fire spells? If so. Incindius might be insane
K'ara in quest warlock in wild 💀
YOURE WATCHING TREEHOUSE 🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Golden kobold could say they cost (1) and it still wouldn't be played

Yog was nerfed becouse mind control effects ruin spaceship fun.
Okay 3 mana draw 3 might actually let the new fire spell elemental mage setup mix in with the old elemental mage chain decks.

I hit legend with pain warlock twice and they attacking it with nerfs finally
i already hate elemental mage and now they made this...
Saruun + overflow elemental is just sif in a bottle for fire spells.

Day 114 of asking Rarran to play Griftlands
3 mana draw 3 is basically "barely playable". giving a conditional 3/1....is a bit...good.....its a decent card i guess.
