- After having folks hit with this phishing scam, I need to share to prevent others. With 15 years of internet crime experience, trust me, this is a scam...
For templates that I have made, check out my Etsy shop. I build files for projects and tools for laser engravers as well as CNC project files.

No problem!
*My Sister Owns a Pizzeria & a Catering Business she had Both Her FB Accounts Stolen.*
That is terrible. I hope I can prevent more situations like that.

Awesome info. Thanks for looking out for your followers.
Any time!
A most excellent video, Sir. As a retired police officer, I understand too well the impact that these phishing emails can have on the lives of their victims. Very hard to prosecute when the victim is in North America, the server they store the information on might be in Hungry and the suspect might be some 18-year-old kid living in a basement suite in the middle of Russia. I would also add to the list of precautions the need for people to refrain from using the same login and password for multiple accounts. If you give up your FB credentials that you also use for your bank login, then your risk has multiplied exponentially. Thank you once again for doing this video.
Glad to help..
All it takes to ruin someone's account is to get a few people to report the Facebook page as belonging to a fake user. It then requires providing government issued photo ID to Facebook to regain access. Facebook does not have any form of interactive customer support which makes it nearly impossible to resolve issues.
It is very difficult to say the least.
Information is very beneficial. Thank you sir.
Most welcome
Thanks for all the great info. I had one call me trying to get my bank info. Didn’t fall for it and went to the bank to check out. Luckily it was all fake.
My buddy just lost 300 bux to a crypto scam thing that said they would autotrade his deposit. Yesterday, he told me they said his 300 jumped up to 14 grand and that they wanted him to send 1400 bux to free up the 14grand..
Always question those things.. glad to hear
I haven't used Facebook, I would like to for laser information and but this is a reason why I don't. Greg
You just have to be aware and vigilant.
Thanks for this: I have learned myself. This is good of you Sir
Very welcome
Excellent video. I worked for a large aircraft company that required us to take a computer security class every year. Then, through out the year the cyber guys would send out phishing emails and try to get you to click on the link. I did once, and it was embarrassing, because I was one of the security guys for the program that I worked on. So whomever watches this video take it to heart, never click on a link unless you absolutely know who it's from. Then don't do it.
It is a daily issue…
Thanks so much, David, this is great info. My Gmail was apparently hacked this past week...not sure what I did to allow that, but many passwords were changed and two-party authentication added to as many accounts as possible. I've been leery of putting a business on Facebook because, as I understand their policies, they can say they own the data you post on their site.
Be safe..
I got that message too. Thankfully account was removed before I realized the message
There will be more..
I have been getting these almost every week for past two months. I like to report these to FB but have no idea how to contact them. Especially if you look for a way to talk to a live individual. I have learned FB is not a business friendly company.
You can report the message and block the sender. That is about it.
Text messages also do the same thing. You have a great point about going to the actual site and log in. Never click a link to take you to the page.
Yes, always better safe than sorry.
Always better safe than sorry
Thanks for the heads up...Great job...
No problem 👍
Great video. It will really help some folks
I hope so!
Thank you for the information.. Good to know...
I hope it helps..
Thanks for the info! I have not seen this one... The scam that I've seen is I get an email that's supposed to be from "PayPal" pretending to be an order confirmation.. That is not something I ordered.. They give you a number to call... But I didn't fall for it.. I ended up forwarding it to the PayPal fraud department.. Let's be careful out there!
Crooks try every day..
Thanks for the FYI. I have received emails from banks I don't even have an account in saying that I need to login to my account with the link they provided.
I just feel for all the elderly people who get scamed. 😢
It happens a lot, I have done classes at senior centers to help stop it in our area. Never thought about using UA-cam until today.
Good video and good advice. The scammers have definitely gotten better at these scams. The poor English used to be a dead giveaway, one needs to be more careful these days. Your advice to go directly to your real account rather than going through some link is spot-on.
These days, they can sound like your own mom, look like her too, but as you know, your mom isnt really a.i.
Yea, 15 years of working these cases has helped..
good video i have seen this several times
thanks
Thanks Dave, You da Man!
You bet!
I got four of those 2 day, but what is strange is? Why does my page status show okay? If I violated some terms
Because it is a scam
Thanks for the info!
You bet!
Good stuff dave
Thanks
I was VP of IT for a national retailer for 22 years. We required all employees to view videos we subscribed to that explained the dangers of being hacked and how to determine when someone was sending them bait. These videos were sent out about twice a month, they were only 5 minutes long, very entertaining and required a test at the end. About 3 times a year we had the company that created the videos send a phishing email to all of our employees. And, even with all of the required education on how to determine a phishing attack there were always about a dozen people that clicked on the link in the fake phishing attack that we sent to our employees. There are some people that simply don't get it and never will.
I agree, not everyone will but maybe a few will. Just doing my part.
