Welcome back to the Ultimate Hardcore Killer Challenge Season 2 - Episode 4!
In this episode, I was able to fight my way out of the Bronze grades with minimal killer loss but these survivors are about to make Silver rank a pure nightmare!

I'm not gonna lie. For the slugging rule I genuinely think that if both survivors are right next to eachother you can get them both down. The slugging rule should only apply if you leave one on the floor and actively go looking for the other

Honestly i agree. I don't count that as slugging at all, if there is a survivor right there then it's bad play not to go for them.

100% this. I kinda get the rule against slugging at 2. Kinda. But that isn't slugging, it's dropping chase IMO.
The rule should be changed to "No slugging 3rd survivor to find the last survivor." That way if he absolutely knows for certain where the last survivor is(no guesses) then he can go for that chase.

@@max-power1023 Literally if a survivor is RIGHT THERE, it is the most logical thing to do. The challenge is already super difficult. Slugging is also a very viable tactic that pros use in tournaments, so i’m not entirely sure what you mean lol

honestly i think the rules are great and make it a hard challenge but having to get a 4k makes a win into a loss kinda sucks considering the hatch is rng. i think making it a 3k or better would be better
to be fair the hatch isnt RNG since the offering (except certain maps/other offerings) but i do agree
4k unless they hatch. If he finds hatch first as killer and closes it, then he's gotta 4k, but if he 3ks and surv finds hatch I count that too
Whole reason for hatch is that the killer won so gave the last survivor a chance to live

I get the hardcore spirit of the challenge, but there is no skills involved if a win gets counted as a loss just because the hatch spawned randomly, the gates impossible to patrol or you have to force yourself to ignore the last nearby just because of the slugging rule
2 of those yeah for sure, but the gates being far away is just how it is, don't think "bad gates" should get a pass

Challenges should be around skill, not luck.
nah hatch & gates are just inevitable RNG. Maybe change the rules around that slugging aspect when the last survivor is right there, & maybe make it so if a surv escapes from the hatch he gets to keep the killer if he at least pipped on that game.
i seriously think the hatch rule makes this challenge less intense. To me it’s taking away the tension because it doesn’t matter how good you do in a match at all. The only moment that matters is if they got the hatch or not and i don’t think that’s the intention. You could play literally perfectly and lose cuz a hatch spawns and their feet. Imo it doesn’t make the challenge harder just more frustrating to play and watch.
yeah it goes from being a test of skill to just 100% an RNG fest and it makes it way less fun to watch
@@zackmash851 I understand the thought process of 4k only but it’s just like the normal game. People count a 3k as a win as killer because there’s just way too much rng for the last survivor and a lot of the time it just leaves you slugging them
I'm glad he only counts 4k as a win because 3k to me is a loss and it also shows how easy this game is for survivors. They literally have to do nothing and they can still win by rng hatch spawn.

At 43:09 I think he for sure would have had that down if he was looking at the floor because it extends the hitbox of the chain sweep, which can be extremely useful in situations like that at the window.

Slugging is like leaving a survivor for a 10 seconds or more if thr survivor I'd right there you should be able to hit them

The slugging rule is just a toxic thing against yourself, maybe it would make the challenge too easy, but I feel as if: if you see the last survivor before you pick up the downed survivor, you can chase.
Slugging for no reason. Making the survivors bleed to death is toxic. When there are a bunch of survivors around that slugged survivor, it's not toxic.
@@mrslasher2954 that is not slugging, that is bleeding them out. That is two entirely different things. Slugging is just when you keep on the floor, IF he saw the last survivor before he picked up the downed one, if you read my first comment.

If you're not looking at a wall and they throw it in front of you, whatever, it's a misplay
But when it's LITERALLY unavoidable because it's directly under you is just annoying as hell
Even if ur looking at a wall the light produced by a flash bang engulfs the area so it’s pretty spot on in addition lightborn counters it rendering it useless so that seems pretty balanced

Spooky is putting himself through hell with this challenge. These rules are so one sided and that’s why he’s getting cooked.
Perhaps for next season, instead of 4 perks straight to 0, how about you limit yourself only to 2 perks but if you lose you ALSO lose those 2 perks along with the killer? You'd eventually work towards 0 perks through progression as the challenge would get harder but its a halfway point for that silver-gold stretch

Almost every game feels this difficult lately idk whats going on, a big part is that 2/3 of the maps are extremely survivor sided. Another is this game has been out so long that the majority of survivors have thousands and thousands of hours and just make 0 mistakes
I agree! I still have good days where I have a few 3-4K games in a row, but lately I lose 4 gens almost instantly smh. It’s hard out here for killer mains rn.
The problem is if they make weak killers even a little better, the council of survivor mains on Twitter will complain. Almost every map has at least one infinite loop and they have strong loops that have no counter at all. This game is too easy for survivors right now.
majority dbd players don’t even have close to 1000 hours you’re over exaggerating it’s literally just mmr dont know how else to explain it
The maps are literally smaller with the same amount of hooks, do the math if anything it’s EASIER for a killer

honestly, should've been able to slug for the 4k on xeno cause you didn't know where hatch was gonna spawn.
Gen rushing has been crazy in some of my matches, without perks its rough to keep gen pressure.
Even with perks sometimes. Not sure what it is now but my Trapper games have been as tough as never and I have used the same build for ages
@@flevami I don't stick to one killer, but I've been having decent luck when on Trapper with: Franklin's Demise, Corrupt Intervention, Lethal Pursuer, and Nowhere to Hide. Helps get early pressure, then as long as I pressure gens I can keep it going.
If I can be honest, this series shows me just how op you really are I don’t count any of those games as loses (except the hag game 😂) you got three kills and they were literally down to the wire each game

Bro that hag game went exactly how ALL my games go. Every survivor is like a pro, make no mistakes at all during chase, know where and when to run. Gens just fly by and the game is practically over. And that’s when I have perks and add ons even. My games just go so bad as killer.

The slug rule should be altered to: If you’re immediately able to enter chase with the last survivor within 5 seconds of downing the second to last survivor, you should be able to slug.
Hardcore series would actually make a decent modified mode. I wouldn’t go as strict as spookyz rules I think he’s made it too hard but I do think a mode where you have to reach Iri one while losing access to killers along the way would be super fun. You could even have modifiers like an easy version with 4 good perks or just access to any perks then medium you only have a limited pool then harder you have one or two. I mean just some limiters. You’d have the same access to a player base within the mode and if you achieved it then maybe a cool skin as a reward depending on the level of difficulty. It would literally just be a perk/killer restriction modifier. I’d definitely do this. I started trying to get adept on every killer and that was fun. One month I wanted to learn nurse (on console and believe me I struggled) so I went ash 5 to Iri 1 nurse only. It was hard but actually more interesting than regular play.
Spooky you need to either say the slugging rule is only for actively looking for the last survivor (so if both survivors are near or last survivor tries to flash save. you can slug) or if you get a perfect game or smth (yes ik a perfect is rare but maybe say if you get 4 iri medals) then you can revive a killer. this season is much harder than the first which i feel like it’s fair to add one of these games i suggested because of that.
For everyone thinking of getting the raycons; as someone who has both raycons and airpods, the raycons say they have active noise cancellation but dont have much to show for it, if you dont care that much for ANC then the raycons are absolutely worth it with their budget over the big guys! if you mostly want ANC then i suggest airpods

the only upside to this massive loss is you played all the killers for once. it's definitely hard to put add-on relying killers like hag/blight at the end. but its rather that or trapper/wraith at the end

Kind of like advertising for the game and acting as pillars of fair play and good vibes, basically. If you want to know why some fog whisperers (like spooky) left the program, I'd recommend doing a Google search for more accurate details, since I don't want to misinform you.
IMO you should’ve did the perks/addons thing in reverse. You start off with nothing in ash or whatever and then keep adding. That way you could even use a better killer cause you’ll be able to use add ons in later ranks for lower tier killers to make them better etc

Hook stages are 70 seconds each now, that could contribute to survivors living on a gen even while 1 is hooked.
Seeing you close to 4k with the better killers, takes me back to wonder if survivors are that altruistic nowadays, I got the feeling the mentality now is that whatever escapes, escapes, and leave everyone else behind, as long as you survive, which really gets in the way of this challenge.
Should add a stipulation when you go on a win streak while killing all 4 survivors you bring a killer back from the dead of your choice

Survivors are better now skillwise than they've ever been, so having this be the challenge with the toughest restrictions so far works against you from both ends. For what it's worth, BHVR considers 3k a win, and so do I. Slugging for 4k would not be an unreasonable thing to do, though it can be boring to play through.
