AUBMCares Initiative

On May 8, 2017, the American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine(AUB FM) launched, the first initiative of its kind, AUB Medicine Cares [AUBMCares}. AUBMCares was established by the Office of the Dean in collaboration with the “Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service” (CCECS), “The Strategic Partnership Initiative” (SPI) at AUB, and the participation of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health. The initiative aims at providing healthcare to the marginalized, the vulnerable, and the underserved in Lebanon.
AUBMCares will work with CCECS, SPI, local and international NGOs and the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health to harness, organize, and facilitate the engagement of AUB students, residents, fellows, and faculty in healthcare-related volunteer work.
