It was pretty cool. The whole premise of the exhibit was a little far fetched, but they had some really cool displays. The premise of that particular part was essentially that we cover the moon in solar panels, beam energy with lasers back to relay satellites orbiting the moon, from there beam it with lasers to satellites orbiting Earth, then microwaves back to stations on Earth to provide all of our energy.
Ah I was part of the group that attended over the previous weekend. It was an awesome event and a great opportunity to network with individuals from both IBM and Red Hat.
Ah nice one! Yeah, it was a pretty cool thing to be a part of. It was great to meet some of the people that I work with frequently, but have never met in person. Interesting to hear IBM's plans for Quantum, they have a pretty cool roadmap for it. I definitely learnt a lot from those sessions, my first lesson was that I didn't know near as much about Quantum computing as I first thought I did. :)
The Brisbane Red Hat Office? The office was closed a a while ago. We have a shared office space in the city still, but most people are remote now. So we still hire plenty of support folks, SREs and engineers in Brisbane, they’re just all remote by default.
Wow that solar system model is awesome, I could see a smaller version in my living room as a coffee table!

Admire you for having such a great and privileged chance to join such interesting event and trip to Dubai! 👍🏻
I definitely feel very privileged to have been invited!
Nicely done brother. It looks like it was an awesome trip.
Thanks man. It was a great trip. But that flight was a killer. :)
Hey bro thanks for the video
Is it true It's only a sales office that Don't hire engineers?
