- Record-breaking snowfall and ferocious winds are anticipated in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California as a dangerous blizzard blows through the state. CBS News correspondent Carter Evans has more.

12 feet of snow with 100MPH wind? Can you imagine the snowdrifts?
I remember the Peruvian snowdrifts in the 1980s...I was always doing 100MPH ...
While at the southern CA. Baja Mexico border it going to sunny in the low 80s, and "hot tamale".
Yikes 12 feet, the weight of that could collapse buildings combined with that intense wind speed

That amount of snow probably won’t be happening down where the people live but up in the high country? I don’t doubt it. I wouldn’t want to on top of Mt Whitney any time soon.

Not getting even close to 2 feet let alone 12 feet. Total BS! The only thing they got right about the storm is SOME wind. That's it. We were supposed to get 2 feet yesterday and last night in Soda Springs. We got 6 INCHES! LOL!!!!!!!!!! This storm fizzled out. Over hyped. Give it up! We will be lucky to get 2 feet.
Hope and pray everyone is OK from this storm and please pray for the poor animals that has nowhere to go they will have to go along time with nothing to eat and bitter cold

How about you actually learn about Earth. If it's winter in the Northern Hemisphere it's Summer in the southern hemisphere. I mean idk why you are even using Global Warming... There is yearly temperature data you can look through and see the Globe rising in Temps. But it's called Climate change, storms get more intense and come at times least expected.

We just know that the warming period started 6000 years ago. Not at the start of the industrial revolution. Half of the continental US was once covered in ice. It was all gone way before the first car was ever made.
