Anna has this one sided competition going on with her SIL.. how sad & pathetic 😂... GROW UP ANNA!...she's jealous, bitter and miserable.. Anna will NEVER be genuinely happy. She's spent her life comparing her life to other's. Her happiness is solely dependent on looking down on other's she deems as less than... she is one of those that doesn't want to see anyone doing better than her...
What woman doesn't enjoy designer bags? Right here! Seriously, it's just a bag with someone's name on it. And remember, children: Pride and Envy are two of the Seven Deadly Sins for a reason.
@Tracie..... I really don't see the point myself. If someone else is, that's them, but they shouldn't act like people who aren't interested are strange.
@sakilynn I am the complete opposite of the designer bag girlie girl. I've always been into my own style, I never follow fashion, and in fact, I hate it when what I wear becomes fashionable. I have never been a follower in anything.
Aftermath Sooner enough Anna was divorced by her husband. He didn't ask for settlement or anything else just a clean cut divorced. Also giving her half of his money to finally be reveal from this controlling woman. In the meantime Anna oldest son didn't end up with divorced from his wife. In doing so, her son change his last name to his wife last name. All Sarah children ended up cutting up all ties with her. They wrre grateful that she gave them live but resentment just couldn't go away. So on Anna was force to move into her hometown while working at the local supermarket. She actually ended up regretting the choices she made. She can't blame no one but herself. Meanwhile Sarah continue to have a great bond with her daughter in law and son. As the years went by Sarah has gain quite a few grandchildren. Sometimes Sarah wonder if Anna hasn't been so jealous or controlling. Then perhaps she would still be married and have grandkids of her. Though it time to move on from the past and contine in rhe present.
My guess: after her husband divorce SIL and the kids cut ties to her, she offed herself because she couldn't take it anymore. Nobody was at her funeral
I have a sister who is a decade older than me. She'd give me advice on things I wasn't capable of grasping. A 17 year old worrying about a career? A 21 year old thinking about retirement savings? I think she meant well but I was not in the same place mentally and emotionally as her.
This sounds familiar. I have brother that is 8 years older than me that I've never been close to. When I was 18, I received government assistance as it took a couple of years to find a job because of my disabilities. It wasn't much but it was something. He kept lecturing me about investing my money and other financial "advice". I told him that any additional income would make me lose my assistance and I couldn't afford it, especially if I lost everything. It would have take me months if I had to reapply for assistance. He didn't believe me and was upset that I wouldn't do what he said. When I found a job, I was living paycheck to paycheck. He still expected me to invest my money. Fortunately he eventually stopped.
To be fair, that’s kind of what you learn at that age in high school they’re trying to get you a job then when you get when they say to get a time and savings I remember both of those things in high school
😂 Why do these stories act like the civil service exam is a huge deal? Yes, it's great to pass, but it's not like it's the bar exam or medical license exam.
Considering these stories live in a alternate world where the norm is to give large amounts of money to family, men never grow up and women are either extremely successful or coach potatoes ( and never anything else )...
It's not so much about the exams/assignments, I am doing a Civil Service Course and if I want to get a job in the Civil Service, it is a 3 step application. It isn't easy to do.
You do have to realize these stories are based on different countries as well. Society, culture and tradition are woven into family and career matters. I know i get confused about it all very often too! Lol
My Mom must of been proud that I was Born. Her child was a Boy who could grow up and carry on the Family name. OPPS! I guess I was a Disappointment to Her since I'm Sterile.😂
No Anna you can NOT meet the DIL of your sis in law. Christ Anna needs to stay in HER LANE. Also not saying a word is not the solution to these arseholes harassing u
Does civil service mean ? Like a post office town hall job? Seems cool and everything but etc? I’d rather have a daughter like mine who’s a teacher and musician than some lame mommas boy son
I'm thinking of going into civil service when I get my degree. But that's because I'm far older than most students, I had a career in healthcare until I was left disabled and needing crutches to walk because of a distracted driver. The benefits offered in my country are absolutely incredible. I was advised by a friend who works for them, and the degree means I will put on a fast track to management programme.
It means being able to work in government jobs. I took it in my early 20s but never got a job. I fell into my current career about 6 years later and 30+ still working it
This isn’t an American story. In Germany, our apartment is considered your house. A house can be a stand alone, duplex or apartment. There are four plexes.
@riley6740 fair enough. This is a common issue the writers have tho, not just with housing terms. Consistency is important in a story, I really wish they'd double check theirs
Why is the sil arguing about what a 30 old man is doing with his life ? At that age you know what you want.
Right? "We need to guide them ... " More like run their life!

That ending left much to be desired
And this is why I don’t hang out with family the judgement and competition

I wouldn't buy one if I had millions in the bank........ well I would for my sister and niece, but not for myself....ever.
@Tracie..... I really don't see the point myself. If someone else is, that's them, but they shouldn't act like people who aren't interested are strange.

Same! I just need something durable, practical with POCKETS. If it looks sleek, that’s a bonus. 👏🏽👏🏽
Same. I'm not dealing with a company price gouging just cuz they put their name on their product. I want something durable and practical.
Just because you "give advice" that doesn't mean folks have to take it Anna..
The son is 30 years old. SIL should stop talking like he's a 5 year old kid.

I'm going by this. You gave us a far better ending, thank you.
Why, does sister in law pfp looks exactly like a Old woman. in that Pic?😂
I think it's hard personality picture😂😂
Well, their sons are thirty so they must be at least 50?
@angelabeyer2497 yeah but I'm 50 and I don't look 50

It's nobody else's fault all 206 of Anna's bones are jealous bones.
😂 Why do these stories act like the civil service exam is a huge deal? Yes, it's great to pass, but it's not like it's the bar exam or medical license exam.
Because in their eyes the job provides stability and that’s more important
Right. A teacher exam for license to teach is harder than a civil service exam. 😂😂😂

Good lord who tells someone how to parent there adult kids really.. and bragging about your kids is fine but she pushes it to far.
Why does Anna sound like a nicer version of my SIL?
How does she have the nerve to brag about what her kids give her to her MIL while also giving her MIL nothing?
No Anna you can NOT meet the DIL of your sis in law. Christ Anna needs to stay in HER LANE. Also not saying a word is not the solution to these arseholes harassing u
Civil service exams? Didn't they disappear last century?

Good morning from Alabama
5:50 It is NEVER too late to start over. What?
A house is not the same thing as an apartment. Pick one and stick to it ffs

@ True. However, these stories are viewed by many people from all across the world. Each having their own unique ways of referring to the same thing.
LOL
Good story until the ending. It was like the story was never finished. Disappointing.
?
That's it? All that buildup to just end abruptly without a final 'this is what happened'? 🙄🙄🙄👎👎👎
Hope Anna is prepared for a lonely life? Her petty jealousy and envy is going to be the end of all kinds of relationships
Kinda anticlimactic ending
Was hoping she ends up losing everything
As was I
Same
