All Jenny had to do was politely turn down the invitation. Jenny was a fool to be driving to the wedding knowing there was a blizzard warning. Anything that happens to her is on her. And her husband actually agreed to this? He's not too bright either. Then Amanda wants $20,000 for a wedding present for a wedding that didn't happen! Yeah, right. They're all crazy.
Please learn the difference between a friend and someone you share a time or space with . Friends are people who care about you and want to share in your happiness. Not people who want to use you .
you know, there is a reason that June is the traditional wedding month...now, I know all these modern "sophisticated" people out there think tradition is some form of oppression, but our ancestors were REALLY smart.
Yup. The crops were planted. Most everyone had taken their annual bath and didn't smell too bad. The weather was mostly good. It wasn't harvest time. And so on.
Ironically enough in Australia, it’s better to host a wedding in April or June to avoid the summer heat. Because in some parts of Australia it is known to flood during December.
Perhaps its because I have never been married, but i wouldn't have been stressing that guests aren't turning up to the wedding. As long as the groom and the priest turn up, then that's enough.
If someone tried to order/demand that I attend their wedding in a Blizzard or severe winter storm, my response to them would be a picture of Johnny Cash throwing the finger.
Why would you risk getting stuck in a blizzard and/or possible death for someone like Amanda?.. she's not a "friend".. she doesn't even like y'all.. she's a friend to NO ONE.. a friend doesn't demand you come to her wedding during a frick'n blizzard. Just because you grew up with someone that doesn't make you "friends".. a friend doesn't call you only when they need something. You haven't seen this chic in year's, no calls, texts, emails or anything... why in the world would you go to her wedding?.. Friendship is not one sided..Y'all are not "friends".. she's just someone you knew from school/neighborhood. There's a reason why no one from her college wanted to go to her wedding. She doesn't have any friend's. They were smart.. these two are the idiots that actually entertained Amanda's delusions.
Voicing was good. However the background didn't match the story and detracted from what was going on. Snow, leading into a snowstorm would have given the story a better impact
Yes, there are people like this in real life. A former friend of mine expected me to drive in a blizzard for a new year's party she was having. I don't think anyone showed up. Because of the icy roads, I called out of work. I told her that since I didn't go to work, I certainly wasn't going to risk my life for a party. She was furious with me and she ended our friendship over this.
@@karenbrown1485 that phrase didn't even occur to me and it's so perfect!! LOL This was about 20 years ago and I was at the end of my rope with her in general as she was very difficult at times. It didn't bother me that she decided to cut ties. Unfortunately she passed a couple of years later. She wasn't a terrible person, I just couldn't be the type of friend she wanted me to be.
I never understood in these stories, any of them, as to how someone can make another do Anything, especially over ....... text. Do they mean to make the people seem that weak, ijs
Six feet of snow with one storm? Growing up in Michigan I can say that’s not ever going to happen. Maybe six feet after a few months of snow, but in one storm.
@@christinahosey7-4-72 That was probably snow drift depths. Not actual accumulation of snow. Two different things. It actually was 18-24 inches of snow in the 93 blizzard in western NC. In Buncombe county. That makes it about four feet shy of six feet. You can google it, and weather is very well documented.
Wait so they're willing to risk their lives in a snowstorm then deal with a little drama from someone that they don't really care for? how stupid are these two? neither of them have backbones she literally describes her husband having beads of sweat down his forehead because he's afraid basically that they're going to die!!
Wow, what kind of idiots would go out in a blizzard for a wedding?
Exactly, this main character was dumb
That is what I am sayin!
Not me.
Amanda: How did this happen?
Everyone else: You stupidly planned your dumb wedding for the middle of a very harsh winter, that's what happened.
Amanda is an emotional pertender.
She went!! I don’t go out in snowstorms unless you’re on your deathbed. Screw that shit I’m not endangering my life. And they were trapped in a storm
I live in Australia, but even I know you don’t go out in a snow storm.
Never ever would I ask for the people inviting me about money for transport. Just turn down the invitation if you can’t afford it.
Of course nobody would be as excited about the wedding than the actual bride😩
How are we expected to believe anyone is friends with Amanda with a voice like that? 8 years isn’t long enough to be away from that annoying sound.
It’s so damn squeaky

“Amanda, your wedding isn’t worth my life!”
It’s a miracle Amanda found someone who likes her with a squeaky voice like that
Well I guess like some men, he must be suffering from selective hearing.

Wow it's almost like that's a whole damn point of the video. That they're not actually friends anymore.
Life on the commune is fitting for a loony toon who holds a wedding in a record setting blizzard.

The reason was because indoor heating and air conditioning wasn’t a thing yet

At least the video length is not snow stuck at 80-100 minutes this time.😂😂😂😊
You know it is real bad when the parents themselves asked to stay away from their daughter
I hear this VA, I immediately click like! She's so good! I like the OP. And want to slap Amanda at the same time! 😊

Another good short one with silly entitled people.
Demanding $20k even if the wedding wasn't cancelled is both greedy and insane.

Good afternoon, everyone from Alabama
I wouldn't have wasted my time once seeing the weather.
Oh dear.....Amanda's voice is like Janice from friends....... pretty sure dog's will hear her a mile away
First time the weather was a downfall of a wedding lol
Ugh that voice on Amanda 😑😑
It's supposed to.
Well what did she expect wanting a wedding like that?
Have a Fantastic evening everyone and have a great time this weekend 👋🤗
From Louisiana 🐊
Very nice story, but a old one.
1:22 that typo "Michaela I ask why?"
Why would you risk your life to go... I'm sorry, but that fact ruined the whole story for me...
Maybe I’m tripping but I could have sworn the protagonists name in the original story is Alice

Amanda stop talking your not a kid anymore entitled money for what stop talk like kid

Where I lived we never got six feet of snow, but within two hours, you could have six foot snow drifts.
The Rocky Mountains are wild sometimes
It happened where I live in Western NC during the blizzard of '93.. we had 6 feet

Why is there always a narrator with a squeeky cartoon voice. Can't you find more people with normal voices?
Come on, it’s not ‘woah’, it is spelled ‘whoa’. Proofread, please!
I've seen it spelled both way. Just depends on the person and their background

Actually the way I have been taught to spell it in the uk is Woah so can be both ways

Should have blocked Amanda right after school. Anyone who thinks a blizzard is just a snow day needs a lot of mental help
