Recently picked up walleye fishing here in North Idaho and your videos have been pretty helpful in refreshing tactics I've always read about but never gotten to apply 🎣 and learning new tactics and just keeping the faith in what im using and realizing I might just need to move since ive got no electronics on my kayak yet but I've already gotten a just under a dozen walleye in under a month.. my biggest is 16" on deck..but lost about a 28" 5-7# hog when I flipped it on deck and it went wild with spines and trebles every where tween my bare legs, I about jumped out myself😂 and it flipped out and snapped off losing both fish and hot crankbait😢😂🤷♂️🎣🎣 lost two nice ones that day just by keeping with the tactics I see you using per conditions...Ive been calling you the walleye jedi and putting your vids on background while I'm tasking or trolling🎣😎
I agree with comment at the end about a fun way to fish, Purchased AT this spring and have had such a fun spring and summer fishing. I can say with that and your videos I put a lot of fish in the boat this year. Have one more week coming up Labor Day weekend, than off to Duck Hunting.
For the boat control with the wind, the biggest thing is to use the TM into the wind. The other thing you can get is a stern mounted TM with GPS like autoboat from Tiny Boat Nation. Then when you spot lock use both at the same time. That keeps the boat from spinning as the wind shifts.
Was on a lake in N WI Aug. 12 to 19. The surface was covered with tiny fly like bugs. What would those be. Also good to see its tough for you as well. Did a lot of basin fishing like this and they would chase and follow but not much interest. Lot different than June-July Did better with the shiver minnow. Lots of bait in the water.
I live in the Glacial Lakes Region in SD and fish mostly shallow lakes that can get pretty green I have never had much luck with purple lures or jigs like you do in Wisconsin don't know why.
Hello Tom !! I fished the Mississippi River pool 10 ;Prairie Du Chien,Wi area!! I jigged & use crawler hauler spinner and the when last year I believe it was , DNR threw a whole bunch of catfish and that’s all that would bite!!! I believe they run the walleyes out ??? I never 👎🏻 had a year that I at least would catch a small walleye or even Sauger ????? Nothing but Little bait stealer gills!👎🏻 P.S. I don’t Fish for Catfish period! !😡👎🏻
hey thanks for all the info. Come on down to Arkansas and fish the Greers Ferry Lake. We use to have the world record walleye years ago and our biologists are working to grow the population

I thought about your first suggestion about staying home but I decided to go out and pull some Lead Core I got a nice 6-pounder in about 20 minutes
