It is absolutely not understandable to unlawfully demand ID under threat of arrest. It is is a Fourth Amendment violation. Furthermore, the motivation for doing so was retaliation for not bowing to his perceived authority. Committing her to a mental institution was also an 8th Amendment violation. Overall, the arresting officers and the prosecutor should all be shitcanned.

Since when are cops trained in the ability to judge anyone's state of mental health? This is not the first time. A black woman was locked in a mental institution because she claimed she owned a BMW and was a banker. In fact she did own a new BMW and was a senior executive at Chase Manhatten. She spent weeks locked up before her firm's lawyers got her out. The cops, judges and doctors should all be prosecuted !

You don't find it suspicious that she refuses to show hotel her identification for a room. Then sits down and hangs out. These days you have to be suspicious especially how many people came into this country illegally.
And if the cop didn't detain her and say she was a terrorist and blows up a building. Then everyone would say why didn't the police ask her for her identification.
Either way the police are wrong and wonder why they can't get people to join the police department.

@@carmichaelmoritz8662 I think this video and its comments and reply list need to become exposed in a bigger way than just where it is seen on UA-cam.
I'm guessing, 90% + people here are on your side before you put this here if not inputting their own stories prior to what you stated here. There are some commenters who question why the woman didn't just give her ID and be out of the hotel, but if you look at the replies under those, you see people replying, saying she may have been avoiding more problems from some other kind of abuse.
What we have here, is a discussion on historical to current problems with authority including a system which is part of a larger system meant to heal people, and it's not going as it is supposed to. It's corruption, deceit, and fraud, and it is funneling money into the worst part of the medical system, which needs to become separated and closed in favour of a different system pairing health-care with healthcare.
I hope good lawyers are reading this for what it is, that may help a real cause if something does come together to expose these atrocities. Maybe we need a 'Mental Assault' court to speed-through cases with the understanding many people were never "sick" or "ill" to begin with and those who did have something and didn't become well were abused by the same creeps who'll take anyone they can harm.
Here's a few things to consider:
There's what I call the 'money farm' a place using victims to obtain money. Anyone can use those words, they are just words not an intellectual property, and they say what it really is.
The "Soviet style psychiatry" system is mentioned in this comments and reply section, however, so far as I have seen, not by those words instead by description and I put those word in replies to those commenters, giving it the name for what that is actually called. And "Soviet style psychiatry" is not uncommon, that's why people make reference to Soviet way of doing things, Soviet history and such, it became a popular action and known enough that people know something of that history and it got that name. So, anyone can use that name and the history too, it's something we should hold close to the realities of the matter regardless how and by who that became known.
To you, I am so sorry to hear of this atrocity and you get a 👍🏻 from me.

That still happens with men taking women to shrinks, it's called "gaslighting". Same with coworkers, supervisors and higher ups getting rid of workers who are abused as retributions for not playing that part and or for complaining. There's big money in the 'money farm' way of dealing harshly with those who won't put up and shut up.
That's why this part of the medical system needs to become separated and abolished, start anew for real matters, change from labels to new words for medical conditions of which will never be used in the form of labels (as heart attacks are not labeled on someone but what the person is being treated for), dump the dope and other [do harm] "treatments" and the new system never participates or cooperates with people brining in their victims.
We all need to get the words out, this comments and replies list is maybe 90% + in favour of this woman with lots of education coming from us, even though some people may think the old ways are not common these days. I hope this video and those of us under it who genuinely care becomes the thing to sink shrink ships for once and for all and world wide.
Some people said things like - paraphrasing - (Sounds like the Soviet way), (Like the Soviets did) and such linking what happened to this woman to something known of the past. I catch these comments and reply things like 'There are three words for that, "Soviet style psychiatry" which is done today around the world.'
I came up with the two words 'money farm' without knowing if anyone else has coined that, I'd say anyone can use that, they're just words though they may be powerful words to describe what is going on.
And you get a 👍🏻 from me!

More women die in America due to the clamp down on medical procedures that were designed to save women’s lives when the pregnancy has become toxic to the woman’s body.
Women who have a miscarriage are being told they cannot get life saving medical aid, some States have started to arrest these women instead of helping them, they are charging these women of causing the miscarriage in the first place.
