The supper room at the institute was a add on from the original institute, the front rooms of the original institute was and still is a branch of Nuriootpa Library and in November 2022 there is talk of the branch closing down
The house at 4.56 was the old dr's surgery years ago, back in the 70's and before that, 1 of the dr's also lived there. Now it is owned by local business man, Andrew Plush who owns Plush Groups, they own the 2 hotels in Angaston, 2 in Tanunda and I think lease 1 in Nuriootpa. One of the houses across the road, 2 houses up from the church hall was owned by the butcher who used to own Barossa Butchers which is also in the main street
At 14.56 in the video, the plaque which mentions Angas's, well Angaston was named after the Angaston, it was Angas town and from memory, some1 mis spelt it and thats how it became Angaston.
And Lindsay Park Stud is just out of town, on the Road to Keyneton and was owned by the famous Mr. Colin Hayes, when he passed away his son David took over the reins, then years later it was bought by Mitchell and McEvoy. David Hayes son (s) started a stud interstate and now, in 2022 Mitchell McEvoy got sold and moved interstate as well
