Another great episode! As you were talking about your men's only knit night - I was thinking a way you could manage would be to do break out rooms in zoom. This way you could put a manageable group of people in each room to facilitate conversation- but no one is excluded (which would be a shame!) and you could still have it at the same day/time. It could then be an option for you (the hosts) to rotate through the rooms so everyone gets some facetime with you 😊 I teach at a University so I use this feature a lot. Good luck with it! Love you guys - thanks for doing your podcast and all the work that goes into it 🥰

That blueberry tea colourway is dynamite. I've discovered project pages in the last year and I love them because it seems like the best way to keep track of stuff which I can then refer back to. Very excited about the men's knit night. I didn't know how to choose day or evening on the form so I'll send an email. Always so good to see your creations, yarns, and your dyed yarns. All wonderful! I love the yarn you inspired, Ray. And the shawl with the color you dyed Kevin is wonderful. The water and driftwood yarn and the mint martini yarns are gorgeous. Gotta stop gushing. Everything is beautiful! Best wishes!

I'm so impressed with your dyeing skills Kevin...and you've only just begun! I attended a trunk show in Mt. Vernon, Ohio at The Makery who was hosting Tina's Twisted Fibers. I purchased a skein of Rusted Steel, 100% SW Merino worsted weight and am so impressed with the vibrancy of the colors. I feel I'm portioning out my knitting time with it so I can make the experience last...weird, I know. Thanks so much for your podcast!

Love the socks. I prefer the 9 inch needle too, usually from top. I don't want to do fancy socks, just beautifully knitted with gorgeous yarns, I'm still working on the beautifully knitted part. But with the 9 inch method, it's easy to take along--not that I leave the house any more, but it's the principle of the thing. I like the Allegria yarn. Longest languishing (right word--implies neglect) WIP was a sweater for toddler grandchild. She's 23 now and I finished it--for another child, obviously--last year. There were a number of target recipients through the years.

Guys you are a thrill to watch. I love the scarf to start for the Fall. Keep it real with the doggy. I have heard children to constructions that remind me how bless I am when I am entertained and educated at the same time. I love that large bag. Both of your sweaters are amazing. You two have the most soothing voices and so complimentary to each other. I am a beginner and watch for motivation and inspiration. Living in Maryland we have cold winters also, but not quite like Connecticut . Definitely you win hands down on the weather. No pressure, love it. Hello gentle men. 😃 Sitting with you two while you chat and I knit, is a really nice way to spend an hour or so. I started watching a year ago and I haven’t missed an episode. I really do enjoy your company! 😊. I’ve also started buying, and look forward to knitting, Steven West patterns, thanks to you two and have gotten great inspiration for others.
I live about an hour from Stratford Ont, and if I’m not mistaken, did you not joke about moving to Canada...to Stratford for fun? I say yes!! 😂 👍Id love to start a knit club with you. I don’t have a computer so I sadly can’t join in your live episodes. (Sorry for the rambling. I live alone.). 🤪haha. 😩. So...Kevin, the blue wool that you dyed. I LOVE it. I don’t know if your planning on selling it at some time, but if not, could you tell me how you got that colour? Or give me an idea? I’ve only dyed one skein, so I have no experience and really don’t know where to start to achieve such a pretty shade. Maybe you started with grey? I understand if you don’t want to share your recipe, it’s totally cool, but i had to ask. Stay safe guys! See you in two weeks.

Kevin: Great work on the dying. Love the two with blue, my favorite color. Great idea of just a strip on orange on the pocket, it will be perfect for an accent in a small area, since it is such a powerful color.
Ray: Your word of the week is EXUBERANCE. The RAY colorway - exuberant! Kind of like a Tiger Eye stone, but with additional flashes of color. The Honeycomb shawl - exuberant. Like capturing Chaos, but letting it stay wild at the same time.

My WIP that stayed a WIP the longest is my Tetris Baby Blanket. Took me 11 years. Started as a practice project (co, knit, purl, bo) ended up as a TV blanket for my youngest kid :'D Not proud of that but proud of the FO !

I added it to my favorites. You are really getting so good with your yarn dyeing ❣️ Ray, love your Montrealer. I’ve read all the Maximum Ride books and truly loved all of them. LOVE the yarns you have dyed, Kevin! Ray, you have inspired me to want to knit a Montrealer for my son in the exact colors of yours because he has green eyes and those shades would be amazing on him. Also, he deserves a sweater, I guess, since I have knit one for each of his four sisters. (Although a cropped, cap-sleeved Ranunculus, which is what I knit for his sisters, is a MUCH quicker knit, but not quite his style!) Oldest WIP for me would be the sweater I cast on about 38 years ago for my 41 year old daughter...I'd thought to maybe finish it for HER daughter, but that child is already ten and much too tall for the size Four I'd been knitting...

3 things: What is the yarn above/behind ray that's got the blackish coral pinkish hues going on. it keeps catching my eye! When you started hand dying yarn did you find that the feel of the yarn changed from when you received the undyed hank to washing it to dying and rewashing? Also, when Ray said, "It's been a pleasure as always, love you, bye." My heart smiled. Thank you for doing this podcast. You both are wonderful!

Just a heads up Ray, Lucy Neatby has a video showing how to weave in the ends as you go (a technique from stranded color work) which I use all the time and have only one or two ends to weave in at the end of the project. Works great!

My longest WIP is an afghan I started knitting a few years ago....and lost the pattern. I have no idea what the name of the pattern is and no idea where to look. I love it though. I think I will tackle this for the knit along. It is sitting there staring at me and needs to be given some attention. By now, there may be as much cat hair in the project bag as there is yarn! (Blech! Can't believe I just admitted that )

    Saturday afternoon poop show!!
    Love it!!!
    My longest WIP is embarrassing!!!
It's a crochet blanket I started when I was married and living in Oregon...
    In the 70's!! 😲
I actually took it out & worked on it a couple years ago....
    I promise to finish!! 😂🤣😂🤣
I actually HAVE finished 2 things since the MAL started, I need to take pictures, but one's black & other a knitted blanket....both don't have "real" patterns, I guess they're "wing-its".
I decided to watch you instead of mowing!!! But then again it is pretty windy. 🤷
Seeing your gorgeous yarn, I need to get dyeing again....I should have some bare yarn next week...
    I WANT the chocochada!!! 🥰
I LOVE true crime shows, but I'm positive it's related to the job I used to do.....
🤣😂🤣😂 I bought the maximum ride series for my daughter years ago, she loved them!!! Patterson is one of my favorite authors....
Along with Dean Koontz, Stephen King, and Bentley Little (who after reading one of the dedications, I realize he's my second cousin!!!)
    Have a wonderful fortnight guys!!
