Pouchoscopy & Dilation Procedure

I had my pouchoscopy procedure and my surgeon dilated the anastomosis that had narrowed from a stricture caused by scar tissue. Unfortunately another procedure is going to need to be done soon since my scar tissue is still causing a stricture.

Thanks for posting. I had a choice of the j pouch or keep the bag. I kept the bag for different reasons. I think everybody’s situation is different. I hate it but there are really no good choices. I have learned not to live in regret about this decision either way. I wish you the best

That’s the best outlook to have on your decision! I knew I wanted to give the jpouch a shot and if it doesn’t work out and I end up with my ostomy again that’s totally ok. I hope everything goes well for you!
