36 years ago my father was stationed in Germany. He was stationed in Echborn, Frankfurt. He passed away in 1992 I remember hearing this song I had to only be 4 years old at the time. We lost all contact with his army buddies. Do you know anyway I could find them or how to look the guys stationed in the same area as my dad was in Germany?

First heard it on a radioshow called Funkytown on VRT RADIO 2 (still called BRT 2 back then, hosted by Guy Depré and Annemie Copieters (apologies if spelled wrong, it’s way too long ago, just trying to give credit to those who, without even knowing, made me decide to become a deejay as well just like other inspiring references in the Netherlands, our upper neighbors, especially former Veronica dj’s but never mind). ❤ But the message behind these actually one-hit wonder artists was hitting the jackpot for it was a plain warning that crack kills, even worse: what could happen before you’re screaming suicide. Just like white lines, speed, xtc and whatever’s a harddrug: don’t do it! Grand Master Flash issued a warning even years before this one!
This came out the same year I was a rookie cop and we used to listen to this on our way to roll call & briefing! Crack was destroying a lot of inner city neighborhoods back then, caused numerous gang turf wars and cost the lives of innocent victims caught in the crossfire. I took it personally because I grew up in the inner city and many of my friends I grew up with and went to school with fell victim to the crack epidemic.
When I was little that part about dying on the freeway in a mini dress always freaked me out. I didn't understand what "selling his own" meant. I didn't know men could do that.
