Wow this was an awesome video. I've been doing FMA for around 10 years now. But this was the best breakdown or explanation that I think I've ever heard. You really put some pieces together for me. This video was definitely an a-ha moment. I really enjoy all your videos. Thank You sir for sharing your knowledge with us.

great breakdown. We call that one strike a redondo (the circular one). When we say wa-tick (not sure how to spell it) it is often relating to abanicos or any other strike where the hit is immediately recoiled rather than pulled through.

Oh the 10th strike i thought was an upward back slash hmm is now a mid thrust interesting. Somewhat readily learneable if you play video games and pay attention to your character class' attack patterns, of course if your character class is a warrior/rogue/blader/swordsman etc that is.

    7 & 8 are the same angle as 1 & 2, but a different strike.

I’m interested in learning about stick fighting. What would you suggest, starting with one stick or two? Also, do you have any opinion on the Balicki stick vs the cold steel escrima stick?

It is required to start with Rattan sticks actually, but if you do not have, then start with sticks that is 1 inch wide, 27 inch in length.
Start with 1 stick at first then progress yourself with 2 stick once you are comfortable using 1 stick in each side of your arms. So in 1 stick, make progress in your desired arm, wether the left arm or right arm, it doesn’t matter, what matters is that if you choose 1 and master with that desired arm, then move to the other arm you weren’t desired.
After mastering your strikings and buikding uo calluses from both of your hands from both arms, you start pregressing to double stick, since you mastered 1 stick from both arms, I am pretty sure you’ll be able to understand how double stick works.
You’ll progress yourself to using a knife then empty-handed if you master stick fighting. All foundation that you learned from thise sticks will corroborate from what you understand strikings and combos from your experince of your skill set.

I feel you took something that simple and made it way too wordy.
