Wow, it's amazing to see a new player and try to remember the initial experience. This battle been fighting for 10 years. And before that was planetside 1. Decades of war, and hopefully many more to come.

@@voidboi0 oh its still going very strong and you've been playing NC and they're mostly overpop these days. But seeing someone playing for the first tine takes me back on mine. Welcome to Auraxis. Hope you come back for the farm
Thanks so much for this video, the game despite all its flaws is a truly unique and crazy experience. 10 years later and there's still nothing like it.
the first time I dropped onto Auraxis there was no tutorial, just a little speech by the faction leader and then a hot drop into the biggest fight on server. happened to be a 3 way at tawrich tech plant. landed in the middle of a clearing and I had just enough time to be amazed at how many tracers were zipping past me before I got clipped.
Also the thing with stalker cloak is that you can keep it on indefinitely as long as you still have some system charge You can stop moving to charge it while having it still active
@@voidboi0 stalker cloak is incredibly useful if you are a sneaky guy. The ability to hide in places and disrupt the entire enemy with a pistol is a very interesting playstyle.
Man seeing this game from a new player perspective is so cool. If the infantry combat is kinda wearing down on your mental stability after too many close bullets and artillery strikes, I recommend doing some vehicle stuff. Like join a platoon that specialized in vehicles and join in on the steamroll armor column
The production quality was simply amazing. the fact that this channel has only 200 subs makes me astounded. Subscribing now to see your progress. good luck captain.

Something important to know about aiming. Bullet spread still happens even while you're ADS'd, so mag-dumping is not a good idea past 10 meters as a lot of shots will start landing outside of where your sights are pointed. Letting go of the trigger for a split second will reset the spread to its most accurate, this is called "Bursting". Also, legshots deal reduced damage, so keep a habit of aiming for upper body/head. "Aim Better" is a bit of a meme in the community, but it is a real thing to work on that will improve your performance with any weapon. Master recoil control and bursting, and you'll win almost any gunfight, even with a starter gun.
I remember when I first found this game, I wanted to try out the tanks after getting tired of world of tanks. Got killed immediately after the first drop. And after so long of essentially being solo I finally joined an outfit. You wouldn’t believe it, but you run into some genuinely great people. I met my best online friend group three to four years ago and we are still together. Another thing is about that outfit, people from two years ago remembered my name despite leaving an older version of the outfit and not playing years prior. Apologies I turned this into The Power of Friendship spheel but I think it’s good to get it out there. Good luck out there soldiers and thanks for reading.

Short list of beginner tips: Engineer repair and Medic heal-tool is the best way to earn certs. So prioritize certing those. In the infantry-screen, you can access special-abilities, such as Triage for medics and upgrade for engineer ammo-pack, making them even heavier cert-farmers. Mag-lifts and jump-pads temporarily makes you immune to fall-damage. Even on rank 1, infiltrator stealth-tool is stupidly OP. You only need to be visible 50% of the time, not counting cover. Aim in cloak, de-cloak to fire, then move before you get countersniped. Rinse n' repeat. A 1x or 2x red-dot sight only costs 30 certs. The most value return you can ever have for a cert right there IMHO. The first rank of any skill, suit-slot, or ability, such as Fire-suppression (which auto-heal your vehicle for 20%) is very cheap. The last ranks of all such abilities are very expensive, yet give very low yield normally. It's usually better to just have rank 1-2 on everything than maxing out one skill. Weapons are not upgrades to each other, but sidegrades. Some are more competitive than others though, so ask the veterans, and use the test-trials from the purchase screens. Play to your weapon's strengths. Taking long-range suppression weapons into a close-quarters means you need to work your corners differently. You can enlarge and zoom your minimap. There are also a number of ways to customise your HUD from settings menu. Use your microphone. Any time you find yourself in an organized squad where the leader actually use it, you will probably have a way better time than normal. 60% enemy population is usually the pain-limit where you should in most cases consider finding a better fight. Due to server latency, presume that if any enemy hits you with one bullet, he actually hit you with 3 already. Make it a rule for poking. Join an outfit. Be a pocket-healer. Gun some vehicles. Thing to take into consideration are empire have tech specialisation Certain weapon (those classed as empire specific) are affected by those modifier otherwise guns are just visualy different from each other except a few select guns Their fighter are all visualy unique looking and so are their MBT with added quirk As NC You have the heaviest damage output per bullet but suffer from high recoil and poor firerate sometime you get pierce through capability allowing to hit multiple enemies with the same shot, most their gun are coilgun/railgun based The Vanguard MBT has the highest single shot damage (save for the Chimera HEAT) and biggest health pool but is slow with longer reload time and can be outfited with a directional shield severly reducing incoming frontal damage As TR They get high firerate, extra large magazine but lower damage some of their weapons are full auto when other faction are semi only, they use standart cartidges The Prowler MBT has an anchor option to turn it into a stationary artillery piece with increased shell velocity and fire 2 round voley from their twin canon while staying fast As Vanu You have no ballistic on your weapon but lower damage sometime you also get infinite ammo, weapon beign based on plasma/energy The Magrider has no turret and can only fire on target they face but as a hover tank they are able to reach places you don't expect tanks to ever go to, they can use their inhate booster to go up extremely steep incline and "jump" over the battlefield when used right As NSO (subscription member only) You have a 10% movement speed as infantry and your weapon have build in hollow point giving 10% max damage range on your weapon They have a unique max suit (think power armor unit) that can suicide bomb and have acces to grenade launcher instead of other weapon Their flash (quad) is repalced with a hover bike named Javelin They have acces to a 2 seat fighter with increased health at the cost of maneuvrability The Chimera MBT double as small troop transport with 4 extra external seat for infantry This faction act as mercenaries and can join any other faction never bound to one Faction can also be identified by tracer rounds TR is red NC is blue Vanus is purple and the spandex too tight NS weapon (note most of those can be equiped by any faction too) are yellow
I'm surprised to see a bastion. I haven't seen one in forever. But it's great to see someone else getting into planetside. It's such a great game and the community is great.
With recent success in top secret cloning experiments in his underground multi-million dollar lab, he now has more time to sip Black Steel Bourbon and make executive Project Moon decisions via flip-phone on the pearly white beaches of Portugal, while I play games he's not as interested in, but still wants to dominate. ...but those are just rumors.
Few tips: #Don't buy new infantry weapons. What you already have is the most ballanced weaponry. Everything else in primary weapon slot is side-grade, trading something for something. In secondary slot it is upbfor a debate, but mostly used pistols are Commisioner, Underbaron, Pilot. #As new player try to be medic as he is good cert farm. Upgrade your healing tool to be quicker in healing and resurecting players. #Engineer is unrecommended for newbies as he requires too many certs for his toys to be fully effective in combat. #Construction is too expensive for newbie. #Soft-point ammunition is mostly recommended, while high-velocity ammo is unrecommended for most weapons. #Try to be on ground. Air-vehicles handle really awkardly and joy-stick doesn't help with it. Flying is one of the hardest PS2 disciplines, even flying in straight line isn't the fastest way. #When flying Galaxy, from straight flight tilt both forward and to side, then hold spacebar. From 150kmph you can get up to 170kmph, or more when you fall. #The best cert farm in game is proximity repair in Sunderers utility slot. Basically following friendly armour and repairing them leads to profit.
Very helpful intel! I Enjoyed my time as a medic, as I do in most games. Sniper class as well. I'm not one to spend money in-game or do too much grinding, just like having fun, so I'm glad to here the starting weapons are solid.
@@voidboi0 Glad to help, original NC heavy assault's starter weapon was NC6 Gauss SAW, that one is considered to be the best non-directive LMG in game, but she handles very nastly, which makes her unfriendly for new players. Someone described her to be a strict mistress, which doesn't forgive mistakes, but is highly rewarding once you quell her recoil. Half a year ago she was switched for current GD-22S as community agreed on her being friendly to use in most situations.
Man... so cool seeing another new player trying the game! There's so much to learn and so much to try, so I really hope you keep at it. I might be a bit late on this, but in game outfits (aka Clans/Groups/Whatever) are a really great resource for finding friends and being able to ask veterans any questions you have. Yeah cool to see it from a new players perspective i've been playing over the years, i'm not good but i kinda understand the game now lmao.. Still a lot of questionable stuff. Tip is keep your graphics settings low and render quality and view distance up for visibility and help with fps especially in Large fights. Just give the game a few days you'll figure it out.. If you cba with the grind for certs just buy a member ship. Experiment with weapons and classes ask others for what is a good choice of weapon to buy etc.. My favourite right now is infiltrator with a silenced assault rifle or dmr.. great for momentum and getting past front lines

As NC
You have the heaviest damage output per bullet but suffer from high recoil and poor firerate sometime you get pierce through capability allowing to hit multiple enemies with the same shot, most their gun are coilgun/railgun based
The Vanguard MBT has the highest single shot damage (save for the Chimera HEAT) and biggest health pool but is slow with longer reload time and can be outfited with a directional shield severly reducing incoming frontal damage
As TR
They get high firerate, extra large magazine but lower damage some of their weapons are full auto when other faction are semi only, they use standart cartidges
The Prowler MBT has an anchor option to turn it into a stationary artillery piece with increased shell velocity and fire 2 round voley from their twin canon while staying fast
As Vanu
You have no ballistic on your weapon but lower damage sometime you also get infinite ammo, weapon beign based on plasma/energy
The Magrider has no turret and can only fire on target they face but as a hover tank they are able to reach places you don't expect tanks to ever go to, they can use their inhate booster to go up extremely steep incline and "jump" over the battlefield when used right
As NSO (subscription member only)
You have a 10% movement speed as infantry and your weapon have build in hollow point giving 10% max damage range on your weapon
They have a unique max suit (think power armor unit) that can suicide bomb and have acces to grenade launcher instead of other weapon
Their flash (quad) is repalced with a hover bike named Javelin
They have acces to a 2 seat fighter with increased health at the cost of maneuvrability
The Chimera MBT double as small troop transport with 4 extra external seat for infantry
This faction act as mercenaries and can join any other faction never bound to one
Faction can also be identified by tracer rounds
TR is red
NC is blue
Vanus is purple and the spandex too tight
NS weapon (note most of those can be equiped by any faction too) are yellow
Wow this is solid info. With this in mind, I'm happy with my choice. Might play around with others later.
I swear the community refuses for this game to die. I love it and this game.
Haha right. It has surpassed the Xbox 360 Halo 3 servers.
I'm surprised to see a bastion. I haven't seen one in forever.
But it's great to see someone else getting into planetside. It's such a great game and the community is great.
Blew me away. Cool game!
The video gaming superstar himself in planetside, crazy
With recent success in top secret cloning experiments in his underground multi-million dollar lab, he now has more time to sip Black Steel Bourbon and make executive Project Moon decisions via flip-phone on the pearly white beaches of Portugal, while I play games he's not as interested in, but still wants to dominate.
...but those are just rumors.

Haha. Good times. Glad you enjoyed it Strixy!

Lol that was awesome. Game is a bit overwhelming for my taste haha but great vid. 😄
I'm you had fun with this one! haha.
It’s always fun watching new players play this game. Reminds me of how I started Planetside 2.
This round of nostalgia is on me
Few tips:
#Don't buy new infantry weapons.
Best game ever made. Yes it has it's problems but there is nothing like a good attack by over a hundred men.
NOTHING LIKE IT
The tutorial used to be so much more different when i first started
Think it improved?
@voidboi0 it has improved by alot if you watch a yt video on it there should be a older version of it
I'm consoleside but it was awesome watching you experience this incredible game for the first time.
o7
A game that can unite us all! Very glad to hear, cadet.

Would love to sit in on a Planetside stream. Been playing the game for years and years.
Good to know! I stream every now and then. The PS community are such diehard fans of the game it's impressive.
I'd love to see you play more PS2. This video was absolutely hilarious and for a new player you actually did pretty good.
Right on! Thank you Ed. I try to bring my best to any game. I'll definitely be playing more.
Man... so cool seeing another new player trying the game! There's so much to learn and so much to try, so I really hope you keep at it. I might be a bit late on this, but in game outfits (aka Clans/Groups/Whatever) are a really great resource for finding friends and being able to ask veterans any questions you have. I can't recommend group play more as it really brings the game together in a whole new light.
Feel free to come find me on the battlefield! I run under Hawklight01 for my New Conglomerate character :)
I'm definitely coming back. Glad you enjoyed it! And I appreciate that Hawklight.
Planetside is the best thing going. Forget boring ass COD, forget battlefield, nobody does it as good as planetside
I love that this game exists. Especially when current COD, BF and Halo are all letting me down big time.
@@voidboi0 couldn't have been more truthful than that lol if ur wondering why im commenting here I'm revisiting ur birthdays on youtube time flies fast void u should play this with ur fan community aka ur cadets 😎
Welcome to pain and dying simulator
Thank you. A very appropriate alt title.
Loved it! Good video!
Thanks, Verph!
Welcome to Planetside2 u just got another sub
Thank you!
Welcome to Auraxis brother! Where battles can last for hours and intensifies with Bastion Fleet Carriers!
Thank you brother! I live for the thrill. Those Carriers are awesome. Reminded me of the first time I saw a blimp in Battle Field 1
Bruh. It's the Great Value doc🤣😭
*Edit: after reading his replies to a few comments tho, he's cool. He's paying respect to the doc all over so I guess I ain't mad atcha void💯💪🏼
That's a good one haha! And I appreciate you JL 🤝
Welcome to the Meatgrinder Soldier, enjoy the carnage :D
cue the doom music. Thank you!
Sounds like you've got yourself a nice build there. Hey as long as you're having fun!
Now time to go further and beyond, ambusher jump jets and the amaterasu knife... Just turn your brain off and its hella fun!!
The amawhatsa knife?? Hello! I would like to try some air vehicles some time.
this is one of my beloved game..
It was pretty cool to check out!
Bro is nurse respects😂😂😂
The Doc better look out
Subscribed bro! Lovin it void 💯🔥
Welcome aboard, cadet! 🚀
Loving the doc vibes here!
😎🤝😎
Planetside2 really is an incredible game
It is. Fingers crossed for a PS3 some day 🤞
Be aware that the update with the boats came with bugs, the most notable, lower fps because yolo
Oh no. Thanks for the heads up.
@@voidboi0 btw, if you want to go competitive, low graphical settings are good for more fps and lower imput latency
Yeah I play all my shooters on low. At least until the 30 series cards come down in price 😏
honestly enjoyed watching you play, reminded me of the fun I had when I started playing the game! you got a sub from me! :)
Very glad to hear! Welcome aboard, cadet! We have lots of snacks in the lounge on this ship. Make yourself at home.
PS2 is the greatest game ever made, NO CAP!!
IT'S EPIC. I love it. Very glad one of my discord members brought it to my attention.
Why is this video unlisted?? It's so well made and entertaining, you should put it out there! This game and your channel deserve way more views. Planetside suffers from a lack of hype from bigger creators and your video could really grind those gears to make it possible
Thank you for the awesome comment. I originally unlisted it because I decided I didn't want to take my channel down the always-in-character path. But, people can still enjoy this old video this much, I'll put it back out there :)
this is a cool ass setup think I will be watching you
Thank you!
Good to see a new face planetside.
It was a really cool experience!
Must be Dr. Disrespect's Younger brother... 🤣
I won't say that I am. But I also won't say that I'm not 😏
Man I like watching new planetmans
Haha. "new planetmans" I like that one. I may just adopt it. Glad to hear.
Let’s go new creator!
Let's go!! Welcome aboard, cadet 🚀
Wish I knew you were in it! You're on my server, just not my faction. ;)
Ah an ENEMY! I've been thinking about revisiting this game and possibly trying a new faction, so you never know.
One of the best games ever!
It is truly awesome the scale of this game. I just wish they'd make a modern third.
Now its time for you to learn how to impulse surf, so you can fly at speeds of mach 10
That sounds delightful
Best game i ever Played i Play this since release
That’s a long time soldier!
He picks NC. I call him brother
Liberty or Death! 🤝
You don't need new weapons to be good the basic weapon is the most balanced you should focus on upgrading each class
Sounds like a solid plan
Its wholsome to see someone just enjoy ther existens in this game.
A nice day/nigth to who ever reads this!
Seeing comments like this make my day. I hope to inspire fun and positivity in the gaming arena.
lol....the ps2 struggle is real
What have I gotten myself into.
@@voidboi0 welcome to hell man...the land of git good...zergs...and pure and utter chaos....i spent alot of time practicing my aim on ps2 but i still get owned alot...so expect that...was funny seeing a new player expirience...you do alot of the things i used to...namely talking on proxy chat...you should join an outfit...more fun that way sometimes
