This 2nd brother chapter was not needed. I only wanted to watch ML pursuing FL since they had developed a soft corner for each other. The second brother chapter just ruined the story & demeaned ML & turned FL into a cold person. However, the ML only wanting the FL at the end & not the family fortune was a way better comeback than other MLs in a similar kind of script. I love this ML. I want to watch him more on screen!
It was annoying and greedy, humiliation, abuse, harassment, at the end of the movie, everything was forgotten and forgiven, FL should have respected herself, even if she forgave, she should have left forever.🤦♀️🤦♀️🤨😏😏
Wang Yiran is my fav actor. I only watched this for him and wow, he did not disappoint. Yeah he played a scummy role and I would’ve liked for the fl to leave him but I’ve seen worse ml roles. Tbh, even if he plays a hated villain role, I would totally watch it just for him. He and his co-star actress had awesome chemistry when it was consensual❤️🔥 Thank you for the excellent Eng subs! I noticed Eng subs were missing in a handful of scenes but I know enough basic Mandarin to understand what was going on. I watched a different variation with Zhen Ziqi as the ml and that one was good too. Awesome job to the cast! Except, they could’ve had a better script and actress for Ms. Heidi Lawrence. Oh gosh🤦🏻♀️😂 And One last thing, it was an interesting change to see a man taking the “innocent bai yueguang” role😂

It's true that at the beginning the third son used her but the second time she came back of her own free will, begging him to take her back, she even promised him never to betray him and yet she confessed everything to the second son without keeping her word and after wrongly accusing him of preventing her from leaving the country she didn't even apologize and continues to defame him without even giving him the benefit of the doubt. ,,,
