After seeing one of your videos a few weeks ago I made a conscious decision to start listening to my body when it comes to food. I realized that there are so many cool, fascinating, and exciting things to think about and having so much brain space devoted to tracking, rationing, craving and shame around something that our bodies largely know how to manage on their own was such a waste of time that could be spent on reading, listening to music, watching movies, being with the people I love, working on a project, etc. Of course it will take time and patience but it gets better every day, and when I get the urge to look up videos about dieting and weight loss I instead watch one of yours.

It's so true to me that lack of fulfillment is a cause of over eating

I'm a doctor. I have never even imagined about life being this easy. I've always taken stress: of studies , of fitness and of every single thing in my life.. this video has been enlightening. Thanks ❤

I used to do HIIT workouts and weight lifting but I was hungry all the time and the cortisol levels didn't help me with losing weight. Now that I am walking more and I do a home workout now and then I feel a lot better. I do track my steps but my goal is between 8000 to 10000. But some days I get 6000 and the next 11000 it's all good. No obsession anymore.

Such a fab video!! I have had this dream for so long to do a marathon…. I am 50 now and carrying extra weight mainly from my love of chocolate and sweet carbs….. I have triplet teenagers and a stressful full time job and have used this as an excuse for so long as to why I can’t fulfill this dream….. I got a place in the marathon lottery for next autumn 2024 and all I feel is panic!!! I’d love to find a way to run/walk it but I don’t believe I can…. I also eat hugely around emotions and feel as tho it’s all just way too much to overcome all of it……

This had blown my mind. I think exercise is actually a slightly bigger issue for me than food. I would love more about this!

Greetings from New York, USA! Just recently I found your videos and they are truly a breathe of fresh air! I've been counting calories for so painfully long. I had zero hunger cues....surprise surprise.... I'm working on totally shifting my mindset to your way of thinking and it's so freeing! I'm still a work in progress to say the least being a few weeks in. I'm focused in on my hunger cues which are slowly coming back. Now I'm trying to zone in on finding the perfect point to stop when I'm satisfied. That part to be honest is much trickier! It's definitely a work in progress as you say but I'm looking forward to the day that it just becomes second nature. Thank you for all of your wisdom and encouragement. It's truly a blessing to me!❤

I noticed I had been emotionally eating a lot lately. Then your video about emotional eating again due to suppressed emotions came up and it couldn't have been at a better time. Then this one comes up, and it's made so much sense... you talk so much sense.

Wow this was incredible. The mental space…it’s not talked about enough. The freedom of not having our brain filled with the distraction of food, weight, rules, etc….thats priceless freedom.
It’s SO ingrained in today’s teachings that only the things that feel “hard” are worth having. It’s actually a lie.

If we resonate more with the second story, where do we start? Bc I feel so disconnected from my body and food/exercise and thinking of how much my mindset needs to shift is daunting but I want to be more like the first story

Finding your channel has been such a blessing !! There are so many eye-openers and "oh my god" moments from listening to you say things that I have really needed to hear. I have recently started getting in tune with my body more and did not realize quite how controlling I was being with myself regarding step count and calories :"). I think a part of me just wanted to rush into a "goal" but I need to listen to body more, and let change happen naturally over time without all of these deadlines im making for myself. Thank you so much!!

Would love to hear your thoughts about weight redistribution / slowed metabolism / and fat gain around the central abdomen (after intense stress or intense restriction)
