    Hey, your channel is great!
    I got a question.
Is there a reason why the field device comes 3rd in the bas architecture ? Should it not be after the input output ? Or it doesn’t matter ?

      Thank you.
So with how typical architecture’s work is, you’re going to have the server or supervisory device at the top then that will connect via a field bus or network connection to the field controller. The field controller will then connect to and control the input and output points.

Okay wait, are you seriously going to sit here and tell me that you don't know what the terminals on a standard piece of HVAC equipment do and that you don't need to know, don't need to memorize this stuff? Nope sorry...end of class. I tell all of my guys that they need to know the common everyday stuff of HVAC before they even being to try and understand controls...it's essential to being able to grasp how logic works, how to do programming. How can you honestly stand up there and teach a class when you don't even know this key basic element?

What time stamp are you referring to it was probably a joke.
I’ve designed central utility plants, sized air handlers, built out lab systems and more.
If I remember because this was years ago I was probably referencing the belief that you need in depth mechanical knowledge when in actuality systems knowledge and HVAC theory are more important.
I’ve seen many legacy mechanics that don’t understand how systems interact and the science behind systems sizing/theory.
Hope that clarifies things. I tend to be pretty self deprecating and talk down my level of knowledge to be more approachable.

9:05 You din't know the basic letters to a common t stat! That's a bit embarrassing imo. Most of my job as a BMS tech is a glorified, high tech, computerized tstat installer

Thanks, I've gotten better at handling groups of people since then. I used to get so insanely nervous every time I'd speak in front of a crowd.
