Absolutely gorgeous costumes which mean so much to so many people. I first saw Love Live in japan when it was really popular and tried playing SIF. I had never played a beat game before and so I rage quit after a while. But then I redownloaded the game because I wanted to play Snow halation. The rest is history for me
Snow Halation has reached beyond just Love Live. I first listened to the song in 2011 by looking for "Top trending Japanese songs playlist" and the melody just resonated with me immidiately. So I searched up the lyrics, the band, the anime, and the rest was history. I've become a μ's fan since then. Thank you for this lovely love letter to Snow Halation and μ's in 2024. And good luck on your idol journey. May μ's, Aqours and Love Live has a whole be your motivation. Fighto da yo~
I wish they showcase their costumes for yume no tobira someday. They look so beautiful but not shown in their full glory when it was worn in their 5th live.
Man, I adore Snow Halation 🧡 I have such fond memories of setting alarms in the middle of the night to use my energy in the LLSIF app. It really changed the course of my life through my interests and friends. The original 9 girls have a special place in my heart because of it
🧡Snow Halation is so iconic! Even if you don't film it i would recommend visiting Numazu so much, I have been several times and enjoyed it both as a LL fan and just as a tourist, its a really lovely area that is so beautiful and walking around where the girls have been in the anime etc is just so special! Also as an imas fan who has been to that little store too, they rotate the costumes out there regularly as they have SO many idols in the franchise, they aren't fanmade or cosplay they are what the VAs wear on stage :) so check back every now and then to see a different one!
Thank you so much !~ I can't wait to make a pilgrimage out there!! I think I'm going to be very emotional about it though ahh! I'll definitely go back to see what other costumes are on display!! I can't believe they were worn by the VAs too!
🧡 Love that you visited the shrine and the stairs. I visited both in 2019. Please make the trip to Aqours home town, want to see your vlog of your experience.
I’m so happy I got to see them too!! ❤️🔥 I’d absolutely vlog my experience in Numazu! I’m hoping to go there in September when it’s a little bit cooler? But I might go in August we shall see! Now with the final live announcement …. I have to go!
I watched Snow Halation the day they submitted the official video on Lantis UA-cam Channel and it literally changed my life. I love it and after 9 years of being cosplayer and participated on many groups, I can say today that i meet my bffs thanks to LL and dancing Snow Halation with my own μ's here in Argentina :;)
Snow Halation is my favorite song! I don't fully remember when I first found Love Live! but I remember how it fired me up inside to try my best at whatever I do, like how Honoka always gives it her all! Ever since I first heard Snow Halation, my tradition is to play the song on loop during the first snow of every year, and I drink hot cocoa and dance around the house until I'm too tired to keep at it! I love it all still ^-^
Honoka best girl!!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 I remember being blown away the first time I watched Snow Halation in the anime. I still feel so much joy when listening Snow Halation to this day! Would love to see you check out more iconic Love Live destinations!
Seeing the real costumes must've been amazing. Original Love Live I'd say was my first exposure to idol culture wayyyyy back in 2014. I was so interested in the live performances that I "legally" acquired most of the Lives and was dedicated enough to join a Skype VC where someone was audio streaming a delayed viewing of Final Live Days 1 & 2 on their phone. I know a lot of kaigai idols had their start as Love Live cosplayers or cover artists, so it's really cool that there's that was common thing that unites everyone lol. Sidenote, the two times I went to Kanda Shrine and the staircase this year, it rained HARD. I only spent a few minutes there but I got to see the ema and slowly walk down the staircase. Few hours after I left, I check Twitter and saw Honoka and Kotori's VAs posting selfies at Kanda Shrine WROISJFEDOIFERFE I could've seen themmmmmmmm
It was ABSOLUTELY breathtaking, knowing that the actual VAs wore them is so exciting to me!! I also got to watch some of the lives in Theatres which was so thrilling to experience with other people!!
Omg I stayed at a hotel really close to the shrine early this year but never entered it and I really don't know why... At least I went up the stairs once by accident! Love your videos btw, I really look forward to them every week! 💖
I would never forget the first time I listened to Snow Halation! 🥺💖💖 I fell in love with everything, the music, the mv, the choreo, the costumes!! In was on June of the 2013, then I found about Love Live, the songs and the anime, and µ's become a really important part of my life and my reason to smile in the middle of those rough years 🥺💕💕
seeing these costumes makes me feel so happy, it must have been so special seeing them in person 🧡 i would love to see your trip to numazu if you’re able to go!
ahhh such a beautiful video!! 🧡✨ love live means so so much to me, I’m an aqours girlie too but muse still holds a very special place in my heart of course!! please do a trip to numazu, I would love to see that so much 🧡🧡
🧡 I actually do not know anything about Love Live, but it's something that I keep hearing about both in my online and irl circles. Too bad there was no info on the costume makers, would have been interesting. This video was super fun and your excitement got me going all "Yaaay~!" too^^
Oh woah!! There’s lots of content around Love live I’m not sure where to recommend you start, but if you enjoy Idols you’ll love it!! 😍💕 I’m happy to hear my excitement infected you too hehe
🧡 Seeing the costumes on video was great, and I'm sure it was even better seeing them in person. And seeing the shrine was so cool, especially with all of the wooden things (I already forgot what they were called). I actually got introduced to Love Live by a figure of Niko from the OP song and didn't watch the show until around 2020. So I was pretty late to the game. It's still the only series I've watched, though the other ones are in my watch list. Anyways, I'm excited for whatever is next for you. It's been about 4 years since I first watched one of your videos and subscribed, but your growth these past few months has been incredible. 🧡
i actually did make a snow halation costume but i didnt finish it and decided to sell it i dont have an emotional connection to love live nor idols in general but i do love lovely designs and the anime definitelly has a bunch of them, i got inspired by snow halation in particular because it gave off a nice winter vibe but it was not purely christmas inspired. There arent that many anime where the costumes for winter arent sorely focused on christmas, so it caught my eye I made the Nozomi outfit, because she is my fav out of the bunch and its also a rather simple outfit she has this turtle neck top, a jacket above and then this lovely layered skirt i sold it before wearing it because somehow it just didnt feel right on me, mostly because i struggled to make the shoes and as always due to my ADHD i got caught up in different more fun projects for me. i do still feel connected to this design tho due to that experience, and its lovely to see how cheap and unprofessional the originals were made it makes it easier on my soul knowing that im probably way too perfectionistic for my own good, and that others make mistakes too and cut corners
For me, I initially got into the Love Live franchise through sh!tpost meme compilation videos on UA-cam. Several years back, when I was around 15 to 17 years old, I started to feel somewhat of a connection toward the character 'Rin Hoshizora', the shy, tomboyish member of u's, who also sometimes acts like a cat. (I considered her my best girl shortly after watching clips of her.) Snow Halation was one of the first Love Live dances that I learned, along with 'Bokura wa Ima No Naka De (the opening of the anime's first season, both the short and long versions), 'Sore wa Bokutachi no Kiseki' (the opening of the anime's second season, which I had learned the dance for both the short version and the full version), and a lot of the other dances. I started learning the Love Live dances 2 or 3 years ago, to be exact. I know almost all of the dances from the original anime, the original anime's movie, and I also learned some of the dances by looking at videos of the live performances.
I personally am an early days im@s fan (I don't really like what it became sometimes tbh), but I imagin seing costumes irl must be very emotional especialy when you love a show !
I got to see some im@s costumes there too!! I hope I can see more of them, it means a lot to me to see how they were created!! because it's the reason I started sewing !
Your channel just got suggested. Auto subscribe. I'm coming to Japan soon, --hopefully this exhibition will still be there.-- I guess there's none anymore lol anyway I hope to catch any μ's reference there. Also looking forward to see you visit Numazu as well! It's such a beautiful place, I went there last November it was cold.
AMAZING! UA-cam algorithm slay moment, I'm sorry they're not on display anymore! I'm planning on going to Numazu either in August or September, so it'll be super duper warmmmm
@@Marmaladecos i’m also planning to do a short side trip to Numazu during my trip. I haven’t experienced Japan’s summer yet and how different it would be from my country, but I figure Numazu is probably a good view during summer since it’s the sea.
FYI I think the timing on some of your subtitles/captions in the first part got thrown off, there are a few times where the subtitles almost "spoil" what you're about to say after you've taken a breath (also they seem to be missing in other parts of the video, not sure if they didn't get rendered out fully or what!)
the costumes look so beautiful in person, the impact of snow halation is still something that can be felt today, i love this
I’m so happy you liked the video!! 🥰🧡🧡

I really hope so too!! I loooove how those looked on stage, they should totally set up some nicer lighting in the display case too for those!
I LOVE this video and all the memories from Love Live I recalled while watching It 🥰 I'd be so interested in seeing you go to the that beach as well!
