This is where the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should have been put. Every major act in Rock played the Round House. It would have been big enough for the yearly Induction Ceremony.
Never been there but I know that there is a lot of history there and the thought of it being torn down just isn't something I could think of. Hope that someone can help save it.
Saw nearly every big name or band there. Saw my first NBA games there. The, then. ST. LOUIS HAWKS , played about 5 games a year there in the mid 60's. Got to see Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, Earl "the pearl " Monroe, and many others. Great memories at the Mid South Coliseum
Check out your ole buddy from #NEW back in 90's and early to mid 2000's at #CenterRing316 and LYAO!! Loyal to the KING!! thanks Glenn!!! Mid-South was an iconic venue!!!!!
I use to live in Memphis, but now, I live in Charleston,SC. Im right there with Jerry, they should find a way to get the funds, so that they will make this happen!.. as the ole say'n goes "' When there's a will, there Can be a way" there's is many many memories and im sure Jerry Lawler would agree and have many of his own too about the Mid-South Colisieum there's lot of history inside it;s like a time capsol =) So now,... is there any more updates and accomplishments been done?.. as the ole say'n goes "" Build It, It will come"& "" What ya put in to it, is what you'll get out of it" Sent: Monday afternoon 1:50Pm 9/3/2018
It’s sad that Memphis refuses to do anything with this Coliseum. Charlotte did it, the old Coliseum is Bojangles Arena and we have The Spectrum for the Hornets. A City like Memphis could easily use 2 arenas if they wanted to.

Grew up in the seventies at the Round House and early eighties. Guess I have been to over 50 Concerts there.

LISA PITTS the forum/grizzlies wont allow it.
The U of M tigers should get it for the men's and women sports teams
I said that years ago but that would take a chunk out of the FedEx forums budget.
The tigers should have stayed in the Pyramid that would have been lit

Rick Stamey unfortunately the forum refuses to let that happen.
The old Summit in Houston is now the new home of LAKEWOOD CHURCH.
What a shame the Mid South is in great condition for restoration
Here's an idea, Jerry. Get with The Rock and Batista as investors and get the arena.
thats bullshit bout fedex monopolizing arenas n Memphis
Sad..................and you wonder why Memphis has fell all to hell, since Elvis died...............
