  • Moms/Dads/Caretakers - Blake turned a year old a few weeks ago and she's growing like weed. We've had our eye out for a new carrier that would support her comfortably and also not weigh us down too much. We found it. The Chicco SmartSupport Backpack. Enjoy my full review here.

Watched the video from start to finish, would have love to seen how you placed the baby into the carrier and then how you were able to get the baby onto your back.

How do you open and close the kickstand?? There's a little black button but does not seem to do anything 😅 sounds like it's breaking if I pull and close open.

That's how I do it. I just manually fold it out and back in. It does make a "click" sound but don't worry - you're not breaking it.

@@mdsnyder thanks for the reply ,I thought it was just a case of pulling and pushing hard as there was literally no other way 😂 just makes a horrible sound 😅🤦🏻‍♀️

Would this be comfortable for a barely 30 lb toddler you think? I know the limit is 40 from what I've seen but someone has one cheap on Facebook near me so I'm considering for my nature loving 30lb toddler.

Also does it have a waist strap for parent? I see something small hanging by the chest but I didn't hear anything mentioned.

100% it is. Blake is about 25lbs now and we use it all the time. Very comfortable.

Jamie Yayme yes it does! One for the waist and one for the chest.

@@mdsnyder awesome thanks so much for getting back to me! Think I'm going to get it since it's only $40 used, can't beat it! Thanks!

Is it uncomfortable for the baby on their feet? I noticed that there isn’t much room between the frame and you where the baby’s feet are.

Hi Miguel - no it is not at all. There is plenty of room for their feet. Though I would be aware if you are expanding or closing the base with the baby in it (I would not recommend doing this by the way) that you make sure their feet are out of the way to avoid pinching them.

Can they be comfortable fed while being sitted ? When you place the carrier on the floor, of course.

    • @mdsnyder

I wouldn't recommend using it as a chair for them to sit in on the floor. Only because if she's not on my back Blake gets restless and wants out (but loves it when I'm carrying her in it).
