Just done it this morning, and I followed your advice; Air Fry, 1 hour 45 mins @ 130 Deg C - Came out perfect! Sharon, you know what your doing! Thanks
That Christmas cake looks absolutely delicious,I’ve never made a Christmas cake before, but I’ll be giving it a try. Thanks for the recipe, l love watching the videos, l think you two are great.😋👍
Hi Sharon, you did a fantastic job with the Christmas cake, who would have thought you baked it in an air fryer 👏🏻 It looks so good and dare I say as good as any shop bought cake. Keep up the good work and best wishes to yourself & Martin.
Brings back memories of my Mom making wedding and Christmas cakes and me and my Sister licking the bowl clean using a spoon. Thank you for sharing my childhood for me to relive
That was impressive. I would not have thought an air fryer would cook a Christmas cake that well. A simple recipe, i like that. I was surprised you took out the basket, i thought you would need the air circulation on the bottom.
I'm impressed. Who would have thought it could be done in an air fryer! I always made a dip in the middle, must have picked this up from school. I have the Cosori Blaze - I wonder if the time is the same??
Another great video. It takes me back when you talk about putting brown paper round the tin and tying with string. I will have to work out a smaller quantity for my air fryer for a mini Christmas cake. 🎄
Very nice your great cook Sharon last time for me was at school in 70s I was so proud iced it ,you gave me reason to try again ,as not cooking in oven waiting for air fryer delivery, your both joy to watch lovely s
From Canada...OMG,made this cake and it’s the absolute best and quickest way to cook in Air fryer. Thank you both, will keep this recipe for future Christmas cake! Wonderful 💕
I made your recipe for the Christmas cake on December the 3rd, I made it in my 9 in 1, it did take a little longer to cook, I kept testing it with a long wooden skewer at an angle until it came our dry. When I did take it out I thought this is so heavy, like a brick. It must be the brandy in the fruit. It was tightly double wrapped in greaseproof paper then in tin foil. Then placed in a lidded plastic box. I have fed it each week until Jan 15th. Wow ! the best we have ever had, only dare to eat a little at a time. As yet no one has tried it as no visitors have been. So good, no need to decorate, the flavour is amazing. Thank you so much.
Sooo glad you made this video, only this morning I bought all my ingredients to make a Xmas cake and now I’ll be baking it in my airfryer. Thanks so much 🤗
You inspired me yet again! Thanks to your UA-cam videos find me purchased a 5.5 l air fryer by cosori... The thing that persuaded me that this might be a good what's the new show the Cake tin going in the air fryer on one of your previous demonstrations. I managed to cook some bacon rolls for my mum.... That was my first go in the air fryer And I only unpacked it this afternoon followed by a fish fingers I then made some stuffing made with sausage meat, sage onions and breadcrumbs I have really falling in love with this air fryer.... And I've only had it out the box 6 hours Thank you for the inspiration
I've been waiting for your Xmas cake video. Your cake looks lovely, it's cooked really well. When I do mine in the fan oven it takes just over two hours, I always put a dish of water in the oven so the cake doesn't dry out. I will be making mine in the air fryer. I haven't got a bottom bit in mine, the full basket lifts out. I was a bit worried the top might have burned but it turned out lovely. I bet you can't wait to try it. You will have to can a taste testing video when you cut into it so we can see Martin's face.
That's what my great aunt Margaret used to do - make her cake in October and keep it in the back room wrapped up in foil, and drizzle brandy over it occasionally. She'd always make us one too. I was introduced to booze at a very early age :D
Christmas cake looks delicious. Will definitely make it….. when I get my air fryer. Keep up the good work Martin and Sharon , really enjoy watching you.
Just bought the Cosori this week after watching your channel ….Absolutely fantastic and inspiring as always… I will be making one of these and taking to my partners house in Germany at Christmas!! Thank you for your great channel … Mike
It looks lovely Sharon i'm going to do mine in the dual blaze this year. I always make a well in my cakes, sponges as well as Xmas cakes to try and keep the top flat. You can buy bands to go round your tins to make them come out flat. When i do mine in the oven it takes one hour and fifteen minutes with it being a fan oven, i also used to put a dish of water in to stop it from drying out
I just love you two for keeping things simple and no fancy frills your-recipes are all brilliant and your so one of us , and you make me laugh too , defo going to try this cake xx
Nice one Sharon and Martin and I’m enjoying the vlogs more now the subtitles is back on 👍🏻I’m hard of hearing and sometimes when you are talking between yourselves( I can’t pick up what you said ) 😄but if Landon from a norvener there 😄
I love watching you two. Sharon is a very good cook. I love your very down to earth approach. I have been binge watching your videos since I came across them. I haven't got an air fryer yet, I am still making my mind up as to which one.
Thank you for sharing this video. My hubby who does not cook decided he was going to give it a go, so this morning he made a cake.....sooooo looking forward to Christmas now as it looks so yummy. He just loves your videos 😊
Turned out nice again! I'm going have a go doing it in my new Corsori dual blaze or whatever it's called which I brought thanks to watching your channel. Thanks folks, it was the best buy I've ever made.
Hi to you both I made your Christmas cake today my tower air fryer 3.8 ltr it has turned out fantastic only difference was I used rum and cooked it for extra 10 mins love you both and your videos have helped me a lot as I'm 71 years old and can't bend down to put things in my oven thank you for all you hard work
Wow! Nothing but impressed with your efforts. Perfectly cooked fruit cake. You can’t achieve such even browning in a conventional oven in my opinion. A really lovely cake guys. Obviously more stable in the baking than some boiled fruitcake batters. I am buying a double sided Ninja tomorrow, more obtainable in Australia at the moment. Was totally tempted by that little oven when you first showed us a few days back for obvious reasons, but the two basket Ninja won out with me. It is probably possible to achieve a good result in an oblong tin in one side of the double Ninja I would think. Not the traditional round shape but acceptable. One of the sides of the double basket oven is roughly the same volume as the small round one unless I am mistaken. Will give it a go. Thank you for your great instructions and recipe.
I've not made a Christmas cake for about 20 years, a Jamaican friend of mine asked me to make him one for his family who were coming over here for Christmas, He gave me a list of the ingredients to get & a large plastic bucket half full of mixed fruit mixed with brandy & rum..... he told when to start making it & so on I made it about 3 or 4 months before christmas & then I added a few drops of the mixed brandy &rum to it every week..... my flat smelt like a distillery 😂🤣😂 The cake came out lovely according to my friend & his family & was a 12inch cake so there was plenty to go around... Since then that's how I've made my christmas cakes for Myself, Family & Friends...... As I Said It's Been About 20 Years since I made my last one due to my depression & Bipolar & watching Sharon making this cake Has Given me the urge & inspiration to make one or two for next year...... Thank you for this video & for your inspiration & wish you both a merry Christmas 😊😊😊👍x
Absolutely delicious! I haven't seen such a lovely Christmas cake! Thank you for sharing! ❤🎉🥰😋 I'm so happy I found your channel. All the comforts of home and family.
The cake looks lush Sharon, love the way you are so matter of fact about your cooking, so laid back. Great idea with the stewing steak pies too. Will be trying both. Keep the recipes coming you two !
I love you two. My Grannie used to make Clootie Dumpling and I had the privilege of licking the spoon. You cannae beat it. Please keep the recipes coming x
just made the christmas cake courtesy of your channel i have a tower air fryer originally did the time you did yours but had to do an a extra 20 minutes …..smells awesome thank you ❤
Fruit is soaking over night, Christmas is coming! Can’t wait Martin and Sharon. Yet again another great video and recipe. Thank you so much to you both. Can’t wait to see the end result and indulge in our Christmas cake. Yummy. 😃👍🏻👏👏👏👏🎄🎄🎄🤶🧑🎄🎅
@@butlersempire thank you. Really enjoyed following your instructions and making the cake. Got us into the Christmas spirit. Just can’t wait to try it at Christmas now 🎅🤶😃👍🏻👏👏👏
My cake has been made for about 3 weeks now, topping it up with a little Brandy each week. I can't wait to try it. Looks great and so moist (one of your favourite words!) 🤣🤣🤣
HUGE thank you to you both - got this one in my air fryer right now the smell is awesome - followed the recipe exactly except for the light brown sugar all I had was the very dark stuff I use for gingerbreads. Mix tastes great (had to try it) and I have cognac left to inject into it.....wooopppeeeee keep the videos coming I am loving them all.
Wonderful, It brings back memories of this time of the year in the seventies in Devon. My mum and aunt owned a nursing home in Devon which was also our home. This time of year we started the christmas cakes, puddings and the candid fruit and I remember helping my Aunt each week drizzle brandy down a metal skewer pierced into the cake in various places and in the second cake it was whiskey and the third orange brandy. Same with the puddings. and then each week steeping the fruit slices in sugar water. This looks fantastic! Do you do the hard royal icing or soft. It was the only time I liked the royal icing with lots of marzipan! Ahh, just got to the end and saw what you said about icing! You know, I have a feeling this one is going to end up being the best one you have ever made as there is so little extra space in the cosori that the moisture will be held in much better.
Something else that might help to avoid bad eggs. You can check the eggs in advance by placing them in a bowl of cold water. Any that float are definitely off. If they sink straight to the bottom, they're good. Hope this helps.
Ohhh I hope She does..After years of making my own here in Italy (cos you can’t buy ‘em) Would be a headache less for Christmas to use her Bril Method…..Tho’ I do like baking all the Brit essentials..Not Christmas without 🤷🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
I haven’t made a Christmas cake since my days of secondary school in the early sixties, now like everything else I watch you guys make I want to bake one.....when will it end!! I love the way you just get on with it, no frills, straight in, Bob’s yer uncle, done, roll on Christmas.❤

Just made my cake got it in cooks essentials cooker hope it turns out ok. Love you shows made lots of dishes
I will get Sharon to ice it nearer the time, She doesn't know that yet lol
Something else that might help to avoid bad eggs. You can check the eggs in advance by placing them in a bowl of cold water. Any that float are definitely off. If they sink straight to the bottom, they're good. Hope this helps.
That was a great looking cake, Sharon. Looking forward to more recipes for Christmas from you. Do you think the air fryer could tackle mince pies?
We will have ago .
Ohhh I hope She does..After years of making my own here in Italy (cos you can’t buy ‘em) Would be a headache less for Christmas to use her Bril Method…..Tho’ I do like baking all the Brit essentials..Not Christmas without 🤷🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
We got an air fryer after watching your vids, so I'm definitely trying this recipe :)
Hope you enjoy
Another one I will try. Thank you.
