2. How many arrows fit inside the bow?
3. Should my end caps fit 100% flush?

I bought this bow after watching wranglerstar's review. Its a great product. This bow has provided so much joy for me. Now my favorite hobby is archery. Thank you so much.
Doug the design of this bow is a marvel of modern technology combined with old world knowledge. Amazing stuff. Truly excellent work my friend.
Love this bow, built like a tank and I was very accurate with it. I have the recon and it’s definitely my go to
Great feedback on various concepts & concerns..
I own one of these and I'm incredibly impressed by the quality. I'm glad you did this video debunking some of the possible issues with the bow. Also I very much respect the fact that you took the time to put this video out. I haven't seen that too often from designers, creators to take care of concerns of the buyers or potential buyers. Great job. I can't wait to see what else you come out with.
Thanks! We are actually working on two more totally different products at the moment and hope to launch both of them next year after development and testing in finished. All I can say is the one is going to be a gamechanger!!!
+Survival Archery Systems can you send it to south Africa
You did an excellent presentation on your bow! Thank you so much.. Bill Ohio, USA.
Thank you William!
The bow is a masterpiece. And Doug(owner of Sas) a very nice person who helped me with other spare things for this now.
Apparently a friend, or a paid for puppet. Doug is a useless idiot.
Great video, this is helpful to your customers... The only thing I got, it when you fire it with those bolts off it makes a heck of a racket and I have had the bolt slide in off one side. Most of shot 25 arrows until I noticed a significant sound difference and realized a bolt was missing and it feel in off one side. You can fire it, but I am not sure it is safe or for how long you can continue shooting in a prolonged situation. Mmm maybe I will have to do further testing in this area... Or maybe you can do a demonstration of shooting at least 50 shots with both bolts off? Thanks for the great video... Atb Todd
Todd not sure about your comments here as ALL of our testing showed the opposite and technically it is not even possible for the pin to shift under such a high static friction force from the preload on the limbs. Below is a video I made proving this. Again I will say I dont have any issues with PGU so Im hoping there is no hidden rivalry here. Competition is good for all of us and we should all be putting out positive suggestions to build the industries products into better ones so I appreciate your comments when done in a way that builds the brand and does not appear to be a takedown (pun intended) lol!
Have a good day that side and again, I enjoy your channel as always.

Oh no my friend, I was talking about a person experience I had with the bow. This happened to me, I know for a fact there is an audible difference, that is how I knew the screw was even gone. Now, I may have been wrong on it slipping off one side, it was a long time ago, but I still have the footage. I will see if I can find it. And no, I may prefer the PGU at this time, but I sill like the SAS for many reasons, the biggest is I can shoot rubber fletches... So, no worry Doug, I may make you work for it, but you have an awesome product... Todd
All good man!
Awesome. Would love to review this bow one day as well as via our other company Lyte Reviews. I would love to see the comparison to how it feels between my Martin Diablo.. my crappy Armex Olympic bow, Rolan Snake bows and our standard recurves. Ace video.
Good vid man, and stay safe out there.
Thanks Kullcraven! Did this yesterday so was nice to be out in the woods again. I am missing out on the US hunting season so very keen to get state side again. No place like home.
Lol.
Questions - 1. To silence some minor limb slap at the riser can I remove the retaining bolt and add some padding between the limbs and riser?
2. I hit a rock with the AI arrow and split the arrow about 1/4'. Can I remove about an inch of the (comes with) 400 spine arrows for the 50lb limbs and still have decent shot? There is kick out for about 15' until straightens out. Just checking if stiffening the arrow (by shortening it) will speed up the (heavy AI) arrow without sacrificing accuracy.
Will trick out the bow with camo tape. thx! Rich
Hi Rich
Wil gladly answer these questions.
1. First I have heard of limb slap. However the limbs should not be removed as they are specially torqued and adding a soft material underneath the limb may cause them to crack when retightening as they require a perfectly flat hard surface to mate up against. A soft gasket type material will most certainly crack them.
2. Yeah, you can cut arrows shorter so long as the rest of the arrow is in shootable good condition. Normally archers tune their arrows by cutting them slightly longer than their draw length and adding a tip weight that matches their draw length, spine, release style and poundage. This woudl be beyond the scope to discuss this here as it is a well documented process but yeah, so long as your arrow doesnt slip inside the riser (i.e. less than your draw length) then you should be fine.
Enjoy the tape!!
Cheers,
The SAS Team
Thanks for fast response. I'll try string silencers to see if that helps instead of removing the limbs.
GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER..... I'M BUYIN IN....AMEN
I'm curious what SAS personnel think of this? I'm sure it will be beloved by seals and airmen as well!
you guys should add a better grip for your hand
One question I have that is not answered is where to put the nock that is included. How to determine the correct location.
heart breaking! went to buy one....i really like this bow but for just under £300 with the three take down arrows its too expensive! for that money i have the choice of a lot of exceptional take downs....crying shame x
Thanks for the video, I was actually wondering what the arrow storage capacity was, the video explained it well. I'm looking forward to buying one of these bows hopefully in the next month or so, but just reading the comments below it seems there may be new products coming out soon. I'm happy to wait if there were updates to the design or an all new design that might take my fancy, could this be the case or are the new products in a different category, or an accessory that works with the existing design? I just don't want to regret pulling the trigger too soon (I don't think that counts as an unintended pun in this context!). Thanks.
2 years later and still no response....typical doug customer service eh.
you deliver this wonderful bow worldwide, i mean in Germany?and if not where can I buy in Europe?
Man I cant wait to get one. Oh I do have one question I'm totally new (or will be) at shooting , can you just use your fingers to hold the arrow against the string ? (without that clip I see on compound bow users) Thanks David
Hi David. Great! Look forward to your order. Our bows are best shot with a finger tab. There is just too much pressure on the tips of your fingers to shoot without a finger tab (or archery glove) unless you feel like bursting the little blood vessels in them. I would also recommend an armguard to protect your forearm. Most folks don't buy these initially but normally come back to get these. We don't mind as they normally add some extra arrows but it is always good to start out with the correct protective gear. Lots of energy in a bow. Thanks for asking!
I am wondering if string silencers can be added in the bow string to eliminate string sound ( vibration )?
Would love to see the bow being used in a hunting situation not just on targets
Their is a video on our channel that a customer and his friend made hunting an African Blue Wildebeest. Check it out. I also have many customers tell me they have hunted deer with it, but no one is willing to share their videos yet. So I am working on getting out this season for my own hunt on video.
The arrows are like a foot long. I don’t get it.
That’s because you are looking at two halves of a takedown arrow. Concept has been around for years.
When will it be available in India
Hello,i would like to ask you is it possible to use a release in this particular bow?thank you
Hi, I am thinking of getting one of these bows and i was wondering i should wait for any improvements that might come out this year
No changes planned for this year. Maybe next year we will have some accessories to add to the bow.
hey guys i wanted to buy one of these bows but my friend said i sood hunt with his sas bow first and i am so impressed i can't believe i don't have one yet but iam waiting for the new suf
HI Stellie. Did you get to hunt with the bow yet? Care to share on hunting photos or videos with everyone?
Also I have in idea for your atmos line of bows to make it more user friendly I was a machineist for a number of years and idea man all my life and was wondering if instead of bolt on limbs for this product why not make them folding limbs simular to your sas bows that way the limbs do not get switched in the dark plus make the bow in both right and left hand I am left handed and love seeing a center shot long bow.
will it be easy getting out the arrows? can you send it to Egypt?
Yes, you can use the front halves of the arrows that slide out easily to them push the fletches halves out. I normally just give the bow a good jerk in one direction and they slide out. We do also ship to Egypt. This you can choose when you buy online at www.survivalarcherysystems.com. Thanks!
thank youu, come by sometime, you're in Africa already, half way there :d
Hi, i want to buy this bow, im from Eastern Europe, Romania more exactly. My only choice is your UK web site? 200 sterling pounds are way more than 200 USD. Can i buy it somewhere in Europe at its real price? Thanks!
Unfortunately GBP200 is a pretty good price if you consider all the costs it takes to get the bows into the UK.
VAT at 20% on import
Ad valorem at 2.7%
Shipping
VAT at 20% on sale
So GBP200 is a very real price for the UK. We sell it in the UK, but we actually make less than if we sold it to you from the US and we do this because it is cheaper for Europeans for us to sell it in the EU for this price and still make it worth our while.
If we stopped selling it there and you had to import it from the USA here is what it would cost you.
$219.95 on our website.
$50 shipping to EU
20% VAT = $43.99
2.7% Ad Valorem = $5.94
Total cost = $319.88 or GBP240.50
So the GBP199.95 on the UK website at www.survivalarcherysystems.co.uk is actually a good price and GBP40 saving and we make less.
Hope this makes sense now?
Believe it or not my salary and of most of the citizens from my country is 300 USD in our currency. Yeah, its a fairly reasonable price for the guys from UK that have a regular salary 10x higher than ours.
To be honest its not a cheap bow even at 200 USD(the price on your web site as of now and if i remember well in the past was even cheaper) but i could reach somehow deep in my pockets to get out that money for my hobbies.
This said i cant afford it to buy it for 200GBP plus shipping costs. I will need to wait for some friends or acquaintance of me that lives in the US and come to visit home and ask them to buy and bring the bow with them.
I hope it make sense to you too that not all of us live in well developed countrys and can afford to pay for a bow all what we earn in a month, we need to eat too and live thats why i asked you if you dont have dealers with a price suitable for eastern european countrys.
Thanks for your reply tough, have a good day!
I totally understand Exovitae. I originate from South Africa and it too has many people with income that cannot match that of the richer countries. However, the cost of our bows is not cheap to manufacture as they are made in the USA and worth every penny. So we don't make cheaper versions and we also don't drop the price for countries with lower incomes. We also refuse to manufacture in China just to bring the cost down. We are proudly American. As I experienced when growing up in Africa, that's just the way the world is unfortunately. The reason I chose not to live there anymore.
But yeah having a friend bring one back to you from the US is going to be your best bet. Maybe he will be able to time it with one of our sales we run from time to time and which you probably say as the lower price you mentioned.
All the best! Doug.
I have a Chinese version of this bow in 45 lbs and the screws are silver in color ( non painted ) and hex key head how can I get the regular screws and pins for this bow? I like it very much all for three things, 1 the compactness 2 the carrying weight and smoothness of draw 3 the easy way it sets up. I am also wondering what kind of string silencers are best to use for this I am an avid hunter and use this as a back up bow I even wrapped the handle part with 550 paracord to insulate it for cold weather please keep up the great work and please let me know of any improvements.
If you have a Chinese version of this bow then we’ll done for buying illegal patent infringement goods. That bow will break on you as we had a look at them and they are not designed properly. They are dangerous and I would suggest you don’t use it. The limbs and screws are not correctly rated for the draw weight. They will snap over time at full draw.
I wish I could buy this bow at Walmart that would be easer for me atless
hi, I want to buy one, I, m living in dubai, how I can order
Hello, we unfortunately do not ship to Dubai. You would need to order on www.survivalarcherysystems.com and have it shipped to a country on our shipping list. Thanks for asking!
hello can you please tell me where my order is and a tracking number ive been waiting weeks
Hi Michael. It is best to send requests for tracking to orders@survivalarcherysystems.com as we cannot share shipping information on UA-cam. We also usually do not monitor UA-cam comments as it’s not our formal means of communication.
Your order was however shipped on the 30/04/2021 and a tracking email was sent to your email address on file.
Please contact the email above should you wish more information that we can share there. Not that if the parcel is sitting in customs in the UK you will need to contact them for clearance otherwise they will abandon it for being unable to contact you. Please therefore do not wait to make contact with us or check your tracking email for tracking details.
I love this bow but mine did not come with the end caps plus the limb bolts on mine are silver in color instead of black. Is this a manufacturing defect and can I fix it easy?
i assume this bow can be shot off the hand?......that grip tape us nasty! but i bet if you put a piece of bicycle inner tube over it ,it wont go anywhere :)x
Yes it can so long as you use feather fletchings. The grip tape is actually fine. Only men with soft hands have complained but then again men with soft hands dont hunt. haha
how do you become a reviewer
You will need a UA-cam Channel with at least 10,000 subscribers. Let me know if you are interested?
will you do a 60 or 65 pound version?
Not again. They sell so slowly that the minimum order quantity we would have to reinvest in would take nearly two years to sell. We sell the other poundages like that in a matter of a few months. Just not worth having that cash lying around in slow moving stock. We are working on some other nifty project instead.
All they do is shitty customer service.
Would you like to send me one for a review?
If you have a Channel with over 50,000 subscribers and your average video gets at least 10,000 views then we can talk. What are your current analytics?
I do not shoot western style and am right oriented (shoot with my right hand pulling the string) I use a differing draw grip to compensate but I need to know before making my purchase is if this has the arrow placer ("shelf") on the left side for right orientation? Your response will be much appreciated since I can't find this information anywhere.
I know its rather late in response to your comment, but if you are referring to a bow that allows for european draw (arrow knocked on the right) and oriental/mongolian draw (right) then yes, this product seems to be compatable. Here is their website, if you would like to further your research: www.survivalarcherysystems.com/#
Hope this info helped, cheers :)
Amazon has them in both right and left version. When you pull back with your right hand that is right handed.
can you send it to south Africa
We have a supplier out of Stellenbosch, WC. Mail info@survivalarcherysystems.com and they will give you all the details on a local supply with cheap shipping and no import duties.
+Survival Archery Systems thanks for the details man i really want one
+Survival Archery Systems hey what does it cost
I believe they are really well priced that side even with import. I think only R2999 for a bow and they have stock at moment but selling fast. Call the guys on 0827741470, they will get you sorted. Enjoy!!!
hey man I'm sorry but I was working in namibia so I will buy it when I get back but how can I pay you because I can't do e transfers from the bank
Can this bow be configured for bow fishing?
Any bow can, I would say especially this one because of how simple it is. The easiest way that I see tho would to just attach fishing line to an arrow that leads to a reel seperately from the bow, most likely a spinning reel.

Not sure why you aren’t getting through as we receive emails all day in that one. Try doug @ survivalarcherysystems.com but just remove all the spaces (our Director wouldn’t be happy to get email gleaned). :)
I’ve just sent you a direct email with tracking. Please confirm here that you have received it?
