    As a black person I don’t necessarily think using AAVE is a bad thing. As long as used correctly and not trying to make fun of black people. Like Wendy. I think Lisa’s was a mistake tho she(and her members) should be educated. As well as k-pop idols have disrespected my culture I dont think a lot of fans are as educated on Korean culture. Like knowing their slurs or what’s disrespectful. So I personally think people should try to be understanding and if they continue to be racist then u can hate. 🤗

    The thing I would like to see these videos do is date stamp the video segments. Some of it is obviously older, but it is important to distinguish when the actions occurred. I can forgive an idol if their apology was sincere because they stopped doing those things. I will drop you if you're still doing those things repeatedly (looking at you, NCT).
    The challenge is the native colorism of Korea met imported Western ism ideas and had a demon spawn given a bigger platform through all facets of entertainment. As fans need to get over the idea that supporting an industry or idol means never critizing or calling out their bull. Stripping people of their dignity is bull.

    • @nammykakambi2056
      @nammykakambi2056 Рік тому +23

      To put it simply, to some people, dreadlocks are seen as an eyesore because of the way the hair is styled and presented whereas in some cultures, it is a tradition connected to spirituality. Therefore to some individuals, a brown skinned person with dreadlocks is categorised as violent and aggressive which is not the case.
      Dreadlocks are a protective hair style that us as brown skinned people do to maintain our hair texture, hair line and promote growth, for worship. It has nothing to do with the negative stereotype that people who do not understand our culture portray it as.
      It is also a part of the Rastafarian movement as its followers connect to Jah Jah ( Lord God) through dreadlocks.
