I went to disneyland last year for my senior trip. It was amazing. At about 10:00 pm, they finally let us into California Adventure after everyone left. I remember walking around at dark, taking in the beauty of it. Like the brick sidewalks. And there was a building that was apparently Walt's studio! I just loved the tower of terror with my friends. That night, i tried to score this girl in my class i had just met, that day. We were a week away from graduation, i had to make a move. Anyways, that's beside the point. Great trip. Great place. Hope to go there again.

What a great walk-thru! I've seen several walk-thru's of the Disneyland park and each one I found annoying due to how crowded it was. I want to enjoy the calm walk-thru, not see crowds. So I love that this one is not that crowded at all. And that you captured some of the things that aren't there anymore like the infamous Tower of Terror which never should've been taken down and the Bug's Life section which is gone.
I have never been a big DCA fan, but Cars Land does look awesome.

I kinda miss the old California Adventure, with Sunshine Plaza, the huge sign out in front that would say California, and the Electrical Parade, which is now in Walt Disney World. But great video tour of DCA! :)
not me. bob iger said the old california adventure was a brand withdrawal and the way the imagineers fixed up this park I love what california adventure looks like today because the old one looked like it needed a remodel
Agreed. I miss the whole "California-ness". For me (foreigner to California and the states) the Californian aspect is what made it special and not just another amusement park but a proper theme park.
The big California letters are now permanently at the main entrance of the California State Fair in Sacramento. Disney donated them. The state fair runs for about 2 weeks in July.

Did that crying child keep following you or did you add the crying sounds a couple times in post? That kid has a very distinct cry and it sounded almost exactly the same all of the 3 times I think I heard it. The cry goes like this: it starts with a series of squeals and squawks that end with a frustrated grunt that I find hilarious coming out of a kid. Anyway, the series finishes with a long cry that trails off as you move away. Other than the annoying kid California Adventure is very cool. Great video on a perfect day to attend.
I grew up in the Anaheim/Los Angeles area as a kid in the 1980's. Literally a 30 minute or less drive or bus route away. Disney California Land back in 1987 was a big parking lot lol that seemed endless, and had long bus cart type trams taking people from the lot to the park. Harbor Blvd and Katella Street wasn't as crowded where as today it's become more like Anaheim's version of Rodeo Drive. Cheap as heck to get into too, like $18.50 in 1989 and annual passes were maybe $50.00 or so? Lots of fun. I went to California land once in 2004 and it was okay. At the time it didn't have that whole "Disney" feel to it. Its changed a lot since then from what I heard and can see here to a more "Disney" like feeling so I'll have to check it out again. I haven't been to Disneyland in about ten years, and I live in the area. Been there so many times as a kid and in my 20's that my last visit in 2006 I was sort of "done with it" (its like overeating on so much chocolate on Easter day that come next Easter or Valentines day you avoid chocolate being burnt out of it.)

Disneyland > Disneyworld. Compact and more rides, you don't have to leave a park to experience other rides because theyre all right there! Plus the haunted mansion actually looks like a mansion here

Pixar Pier is cool and all, but personally, the only reason I like the change is because it turned Rustle's wilderness explorer park (I do love Up until it attacks my childhood) back into the redwood forest, and took a few other non-Californian leeches away from the rest of the park. I still miss the giant orange, dinosaur, and sun on the ferris wheel though. CA adventure will probably change it's name soon, they even took away saurin' over California and Hollywood's tower of terror. Sorry for the long comment, I had to get that off my chest lol
Good thing the weather in Cali is not humid here in the deep south we have 100 percent hot steamy humid weather

son dos parques distintos .. pero estan practicamente pegados.. la entrada de uno esta al lado del otro. Teienes que pagar por la entrada de cada uno pero si investigas podras encontrar paquetes para ambos parques

Ambareen Baig. hopefully im answering your question but yes all free! once you pay to get in the park everthing is free just except the food haha, but the streets & rides are all free. just be careful its very pricey hope you have a magical visit :) & if this didnt help i can try my best to answer again

February and March. and don't go for Monday, try a Wednesday or Thursday. barely anyone
especially on rainy days. just grab an umbrella and there's maybe 200 people at max
Usually January is always pretty dead. Especially Tues-Thurs. Not Martin Luther King Day as many people are off and go to Disneyland. When it rains it's not as busy. Avoid the Summer months. October used to be dead, but since the Halloween decoration stuff were put up, it's now busy all month. Even during the week.

Heard that the 4th of July preshow fireworks for World of Color will only happen on July 4 this year only. In previous years, they would start as early as July 1st. Guess they are scaling back as each year goes by.

What specifically did you not like about Disneyland?
***** the day I went alot of the rides broke down and the ride I was on broke down also. So alot of the rides were not working and it kinda sucked the fun out of the day because the rides that was availible had super long lines that took hours. I know long lines are expected but a 6 hour long line for one ride was not worth it. And to make matters worse they gave us fast passes and we couldn't use them due to the fact that either those rides are down or rides didn't accept them.
