I'm so glad to know that Queen Victoria had some happiness in her final years of life. Abdul was like a son to her. As a mother I can totally appreciate their relationship.
The profound love and respect they both shared for each other. Like Mother and Son. The truth is, she saw Abdul as her son and Bertie and the court disliked this and jealousy was the key factor in this beautiful tale.
As Muslims we strongly follow the teachings of the Quran, to which the Queen understood and had taken time to learn.
Muslims believe the path to paradise are found at your Mother's feet. This is why Abdul kissed the Queen's feet.
R.I.P now Abdul and Victoria 😔
Probably had mommy issues and a foot fetish.
This movie exaggerated the relationship with Abdul Karim and Victoria. Victoria was very fond of him and gave him privileges her other servants didn't get but she would never have regarded him as her son over Bertie.
@@zzzbbbooo that's not what Abdul Karims diary said. Queen Victoria openly admitted that Bertie was an embarrassment to the establishment and his reign as King 🤴 didn't last long. The fact remain the House tried to cover up all existence of Abdul
Ab isme bhi islam ghusa doh ..will u guys ever stop
@@paruln111 translate in English please
What they did to him after she died was absolutely heartbreaking 💔
most record of him were destroyed and every letter he wrote, the correspondence between him and the queen was also destroyed by edward VIII and he was sent back to India where spent his remaining days.
@@maitreyakanitkar8742 so in truth we can only guess at their friendship? :(
@Elias Firmino Silverio de Sousa BINGO
@Elias Firmino Silverio de Sousa Because the English are really that racist and elitist or they just personally hated the two of them? What she did with this Munchi guy was no different than what other rulers throughout history has done. Was it because she was woman, he was muslim, or he was a indian?
Well the royal family just plain racist
Everyone: to the queen
Queen Victoria: to me
0:51:
“Do not pull”
*proceeds to pull*
Still Queen says that its an understandable mistake 😅,
Trust me you think people were not just as crazy and young 100 years ago
She was her happiest with him
The queen in this movie did look like fragile, Victoria was with rounded face, this queen has more wrinkles
Was she happiest with HIM? Or with John Brown? After all, she WAS known to have her little crushes on certain men.
Well I’m Indian and I thought I had a chance with Queen Elizabeth but that ship has sailed unfortunately.
Well Elizabeth was happy with her life long companion Philip but Victoria was forlong as her husband died long ago her son was no good to her at all , Edward wanted the Thorne . With abdul she was her happiest abdul was a true son to her even not because blood , their relation was greater. At the end of the movie Abdul kisses Victoria's statue infornt of raj mahal as in islam heaven is at the feet of mother
Its time travel time
Can understand Prince Albert's frustration though, heir to the throne yet gets less facilities then the Queen's favourite. The fact he'll be one day King must have been all that really kept him going. Karim was probably in practise more powerful then Albert also as its my understanding Queen Victoria did not let Albert do many official duties of importance.
Yeah Albert was effectively shut out of the business of government by his mother till the end of her reign. Its for that very reason that he made sure to include his own son, George V, in a lot of what his mother excluded him from.
5:14 till when when the Queen stops singing
Shut that door, Bertie! 😂
Why is she so cute and adorable like my grandma ? I'm confused , a queen supposed to look like that 🤔🤔 💓💓💖💖💞💕 love you JUDI 😘😘😘
Queen Victoria was human.
@@svamberiv7999 well thank you my lady, for enlightening me .
She is blessed with big heart and kingdom...
Happy happy Queen. Good on her
Somehow I get the feeling that during Senor Pacini's song that Bertie would much rather be at a 16 course dinner with his friends, playing cards or perhaps having a romp in the sheets with Mrs. Keppel.
Замечательный фильм! Прекрасная Джудит Денч!
The munshi disregarding his friend’s feelings and health for validation is exactly how it is in the modern day.
Queens and kings are humans too .
Yes❤
The P.O.W NEVER went on Holiday with his mother. EVER
I think dame dench was probably far more likeable than the real Victoria.
The real Victoria was very likeable to non-English folk who were dehumanized by the English. She had seen it all her life. First with Albert, then with a Scotsman, and finally with Abdul. She saw it after the first war of Indian independence. She even saw it with herself to a degree. At the hands of her prime ministers.
@@davesanders5426 hi, I'm not sure what you mean by "she had seen it all her life" what do you mean it?
@@margochristensen6359 She saw it first with herself. She was considered too German by her prime ministers. And therefore unworthy of respect if not for her title and station. Then she saw it with Albert, who was once again seen as a foriegner, until Victoria herself had to title him. Then she saw it with the Anglo-Sikh war - how her ministers and officials dehumanized the Sikhs. She saw it after the first war of Indian independence, when she officially put a stop to it by issuing a proclamation to allow freedom of race and religion. Then she saw it with her Scot friend John Brown. And finally she saw it with her Munshi, Abdul Karim. So yeah. Victoria had seen how the English dehumanize non-English folk all her life and she was against it.
@@davesanders5426 yep. English monarchs get shit on a lot, even though it was the prime ministers, the British parliament and governor generals doing all the dirty work
post learning he is married and has got wife what she said kinda gives an inkling that she might have thought to get romantically involved with him. And I feel abdul was not that innocent not too smart he played a game kinda and did what can take him close to her.
Her staff and family were so mean, she was an old lady with soul
0:53 "Do Not Pull" *Pull the emergency breaks*
So adorable
5:10 , Barty is gradually heating.... it's an evidence...😆😆
How could a lady like her be the emperor of powerful kingdom which treated all colonial people too cruelly.i like to believe that she was not knowing about that all
Colonial policy was decided by the government. A lot of horrible things were done in the name of the monarch.
The Queen wasn't really aware of the extent the Government actions, she was aware of mistreatments but at the end of the day, the empire is huge and she couldnt oversee every little incident, but the actions of the empire definitely did not represent the Queen.
First of all, as an overseas Empire, neither the Queen, nor the government knew exactly of everything that happened in the colonies. Secondly, the Queen was a ceremonial figure, a symbol of British unity and culture, just a title, she couldn't make decisions by herself.
"Older than 'I,'" young man
me, actually
@@pneron2032 "I"
Because it is "Older than 'I' am.
@@gregoryambres1897 No. "Than" is followed by the accusative case. We say older than him (not he), older than them (not they), older than us (not we) and older than me. When you add a verb, the rule changes. We say "older than us", but still "older than we are". 👍🖖
@@pneron2032 you are right
Nice movie
Was Puccini really a bad singer?
Perhaps that is why he wrote operas instead of performing in them.
She was taught by Mendelssohn, you know
very misleading movie
It's a bit difficult towards the end of the clip to understand their equation. Were they in love or just friends? 🥴
The Queen only loved Albert. When she died, they wore her in her wedding dress so that she can be with him again (according to her wish). But, however Queen Victoria found comfort in talking to servants after his death according to historian and often reward them. Prio to Abbdul there was an English servant named Brown I believe was giving the same special treatment for his company. Queen Victoria wasn't a very good Queen in the beginning to mid of her reign mainly because she was too young but later on improved a lot on all spectrums, I remember watching a documentary and the historian said later on in her life she was criticized for breaking protocol of a Queen - she bowed to the people a lot especially when visiting colonies, you can actually look up a rare footage of Queen Victoria bowing to people on UA-cam.
