@djlautmusik Deadmau5 is not a dubstep artist, he is trance/electro. And his name isnt Deadmau.... haha, and people dont oppose his music, people love it. Him and Wolfgang Gartner own this scene right now.
I don't get why ppl don't Like this. If its because It's "dubstep" that's stupid. It's just hard bass, and even if its dubstep, he should be congratulated for branching out and sticking to his roots at the same time.
Now I have a debate on my hands on what to open my first gig with. Either open it with Strobe, My Reward is Cheese Mix, Moar G'n'S, or this. It's an epic piece.
@whodafook because he's doing what HE loves. that's why alot of people respect mau5... he doesn't give a fuck what people think. if he stuck to his usual stuff for his whole career he'd get bored and feel like there's no purpose. i'm a producer aswell and believe me it gets boring sticking to your established style.
@djlautmusik Joel is just experimenting with new genres. well not new to him. to us. yes. i think its awesome. he became main stream sooo fast. i remember when Random Album Title came out. even then before that i knew who he was. that was fuckin 2006-2007. OWOW. times have changed. &to all you old listeners like me. respect this man for taking a turn.
@rempleforskin I guess you could say Mau5 is repetitive but you'd be missing something. There's a difference between repetitive laziness in music and using repetition as a good songwriting tool, that being said when I think of something as "repetitive" i think of it as stale or boring or generic and Deadmau5 is everything and anything BUT that.
@rempleforskin its not repetitive. He just believes in "Less is more" and if you saw him live and heard that repetitiveness it doesn't bother you when its pounding your chest with all that bass!!!
i wish deadmau5 would stick to his sound cause he's the only one i know that does it the way he does and if i want dubstep ive got plenty of other people to turn to But he does good here so if this is what hes gonna do now ill still be happy as long as he ditches sofi (dont like her vocals at all) and tries to uncheese the lyrics just a bit
@mflores526 well you can definately see Deadmau5's influence on Skrillex's recent EP released on Mau5trap, but im saying this new stuff that hes touring with, production clearly hes sat beside Skrillex and brought him into dubstep.
I felt that this was going to be the sequel to strobe.. until the dubstep kicked in :s. It's a good song, and i like dubstep, but i am certain it would have been better had he maintained his style..

to those complaining about deadmau5's repetitive beats, stop listening to his music and start feeling it. the repetitiveness will vanish and you are left with some fucking awesome music :D

yea man. this does sound like skrillex on the second half. hes pretty good too. rising up pretty fast.... but still not as good as deadmau5.
