Dear Dacob, watching you talking passionately about my favourite Chanel perfume, almost brought me to tears. Back in the 90s, I was five years old and I was gifted a 5ml mini bottle of No.19 EDT, as I was passing by the beauty counter in a mall while holding hands with my mother. The ethereal blend of florals and classic greenness of No.19 made me fell instantly in love with it. Further, it also captured the memory of being young and loving my mother. No.19 represents my childhood and reinforces my personal concept of elegance. To this day, I'm still wearing No.19 but EDP, as I feel it represents me better. I'm hoping that in the future, when my daughter smells No.19, it will also bring her back to me and her childhood memories. Love you forever Dacob and all your content
Using 19 edt sprayed around the room is a gorgeous pleasure. I Have used almost a whole bottle this way and don’t regret a second of it. You must try it ❤
Hi Dacob, I've been wearing Chanel No19 since 1990 and bought my first bottle of the eau de parfum in December 1990. So I think the eau de parfum must have been introduced in either 1990 or 1989. It's interesting to me that the creator of Chanel No 19, Henri Robert, died in 1987, and I wonder if that’s significant in the decision to introduce an eau de parfum. I still like and wear the current version of the eau de parfum, however the eau de parfum of the 1990s which I was addicted to was exquisite, the dry down in particular was very beautiful and long lasting - perfection. Likewise the Edt and parfum in the 1990s were masterpieces. To me Chanel No19 is a very elegant and quiet perfume, and as you say nothing like the perfumes of today which makes me love it even more. It's been my signature scent for nearly 34 years now and I love your appreciation of this wonderful scent. To me it's a hauntingly beautiful scent and I'm glad it's not super popular. I'll keep buying it as long as Chanel keep producing it!
Jacques Polge created No19 edp just like he created Cristalle edp. The edt counterparts were created by Henri Robert. Olivier Polge seems to prefer edps to edts as his latest releases and re releases all seem to be edps and those seem to be better than the edts at that. The current Cristalle edp is in my opinion for the first time ever better than the edp. Same applies to the edt of No19… it just has more substance even though in vintage form I would take the edts any day over the two edps. ♥️
You haven’t even said a word and I’m oh for real you look gorgeous! PS I just was able to purchase this the other day… and my package arrived today! (I also splurged on Biarritz, 1932, and Edimbourg. An exciting day for mail delivery in my house.) I chose the 19 Eau de Parfum… I hope it passes your nez test! xx 💞❤️🤭
Dear Dacob, I just got my hands on the vintage 100ml EDT of no.19 and n.5 in those refillable casings and I am living ferret!😍😍😍😍 Only us, Chanel fragrance collectors can truly understand the goosebumps when spraying these beautiful gems for the first time since many years. They are alive !!!🧟🧟♀🥰🥺🥺
I also love the EDT! I completely agree with what you are saying about the “vastness”. I also think it’s multi dimensional and season less. If they discontinued this I would die.
Livin Ferret IT. Dacob you need your own TV show seriously. My mom wore No. 19. I loved it more that No 5. I'm wearing red cap Dolce&Gabbana since this morning. I came home early, slow, no tables. You look fab, so sweet too! See you Live Saturday I hope 🕸🕸🎃🎃
Dacob I just tried the no.19 Poudre and fell in love. I think I have a thing for "melancholic" scents. My other obsession has been Paris- Paris. Both somewhat is comforting in a sense for sadness. I love your videos and you inspire me.
Thank you Dacob for your great reviews. I love No19, but hate the Wertheimers for their eye gouging prices. Diorella is somewhat more affordable. How would you compare No19 to Diorella? Love your videos.
Ok. So when I was a little boy at 11 years old in 1991 I fell in love with Chanel no.19 Eau de cologne. I loved it! Years later I purchased the Eau de Parfum. It reminded me of my best memories of my childhood. But it was not the same. Would you say the eau de toilette would be closer than the cologne? Do you like the edt better than the edp of no. 19? When it comes to no.5 I definitely prefer the edp over the EDT because I feel the edt of no. 5 has little longevity. Do you feel the no. 19 has better longevity than the no. 5 edt? The no. 19 edc was long lasting in its beautiful silver refillable canister.
If I had a signature, it would be 19. I have a vintage EDT and enjoy it. It’s more animalic than my current version EDP, which is the only version of the EDP I’ve smelled. I’m gonna blind buy the parfum because my boutique never has a tester. 😢 But I just LOVE 19 so much. 😊
Dacob, what is your favourite Chanel perfume? I live in Japan, online auctions like Mercali are full with vintages Chanel perfumes at such cheap price, thats where i get all my collections from 😅
