Is Minecraft "Education" Edition Actually Educational?

- Minecraft education edition was meant to be a tool for teaching students, so I decided to test it and see if education edition can help me pass a basic chemistry test. (and a few other tests)

If we take the chance of dropping the soap on a given day to be 0.01 (this being a generously low chance) and "life in prison" suggests that the inmate is incarcerated from the age of 25 to the age of 80 inclusive, that leaves 20075 days in which said inmate could potentially drop the soap (given that they shower every day).
We can use the binomial distribution with the model B~X(20075, 0.01) to calculate the probability of the inmate dropping the soap AT LEAST once during their time in prison.
P(X >= 1) = 1 - P(X = 0) => 1 - 2.37951153x10^-88 ~ 1
Thus we can conclude that during the inmate in question's life in prison, there is a 100% chance that he will drop the soap.
obviously
y'know what. imma get a life sentence and hold on to that soap like its my life
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
:flushed:
gonna commit homicide and never drop the soap to prove you wrong
Minecraft really did a great job simulating a Pompeii incident, this greatly inspired me to make my own research even more in depth even though pretty much everything I found was already shown in the sumiluation there are some things that I want to point out. This volcano look very regular and simply, real volcano had a shiled like look which is formed by the eruption of low-viscosity lava that can flow a great distance from a vent. They generally do not explode catastrophically, but are characterized by relatively gentle effusive eruptions. As I said they don't really explode and that is why people thought it is not dangerous and minecraft did a good job showing the immortality of the people just regularly walking without caring about them being on fire and getting buried. on the other hand some people weren't expecting the giant erruption so they started to panic which led to more people panicking which resulted in a catastrophic fail for the pompeii city. Overall everything else was shown in the map of the pompeii incident, there are few more things minecraft missed out but it is too complicated and they would probably confuse learners. This was very well presented and shown in minecraft. Big applause to minecraft from me and my buddy that hepled me. Reccomended map 10/10.
I agree thank you for your commentary
I read the comment
that is exactly what i was going to say you took the words right out of my mouth
🤓
vent like in agogus
igblon could talk about anything and he would still make it interesting
True, he should be a teacher.
haha yes
He could make an 1 hour video talking about bananas and it would still be more interesting than dream's content
@@stefanandrejevic2570 "bananas are yellow on the outside, and also yellow on the inside, however the shade of yellow is more bright in the inside, meaning that bananas exists, don't believe me? well here are some more examples on why bananas exists"
@@stefanandrejevic2570 LMAO TRUUU
i feel like you have the potential of making modded minecraft more "educational" than "educational minecraft"
good video as always
Just take a look at Gregtech. I knew something was weird when it showed the chemical formula under some ores
@@MrZwergdaniel GregTech has a lot of versions, which one were you referring to?
In which modpack do you play it?
Gregblock (the skyblock Version). The Ores you receive from Ex Nihilo often show the chemic formula
There is a mod I believe, alchemestry?
8:46 "judging by this giant teapot I say it was roman"
*Sees a giant Roman Scutum on the side*
SCROTUM?? hrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
Just a few seconds into this video and I've already learned quantum physics, brilliant.
Same...
😂😂
A few minutes in, and I already can calculate how to launch a rocket and orbit pluto
I thought you could already do anything though
nice pfp
The craziest thing is that his voice hasn’t changed in all these years!
yeah bro! not once did he have a sore throat or something that changed his voice in any videos!!!!!
Maybe he doesn't have a sore throat everytime he makes vids
@@Hubilee nah its his real voice bro
@@Hubilee uh no it's his real voice duh

At least microsoft knows that when you learn while having fun you are more likely to retain the information
This man teaches me more than my chemistry teacher did
Real
I wrote a full 6 page essay on this topic, talking about lessons in probability that help struggling students. As well as the percentage of teachers who wanted to try it again after using it the first time, and that students retain more information, as well as it's help in the pandemic.
The essay itself wasn't very good because I suck at writing essays but I found out a lot of interesting stuff on this topic, like the fact that there are a lot of active studies trying to figure out if it's effective or not.
The first one looked like a difficult quiz
The second one was in ducksters, a site elementary and early middle schoolers use
the first one was really basic chemistry
lol he comes up with the most random and interesting videos
callmecarbsnon
Imagine speed-running on this version.
Oh wait, somebody already did that.
And failed miserably
There is no end portal in these version
@@walmart_bag0_0 yes he basiclly spedruned bedrock but with no portal
@@lolowocr881 they do have portals tho, there is a glitch where caves generate over them sometimes in edu/bedrock so that may be it but ive played education edition and one spawned, infact right under spawn and there was a portal not only a stronghold
@@NeverTHOUGHTofIT Speedrun means to beat the game, in this case, just finish everything there is to do in the map.
21th century humor and actual Minecraft content were never meant to mix together.
But IGoByALotsOfNames does it smoothly.
and chemistry
I thought this was an old one I didn’t see. I had such low expectations for this channel. I am pleasantly surprised.
He has a _unique_ style. He takes all the hallmarks of low-effort channels and throws a ton of effort into them. I like
Very educational, will be reccommending this to my principal
I have a chemistry degree and 90% of those questions are either off topics or plain stupid, the other 10% can be responded by "it's complicated" or "it depends" lmao
This video is more educational than Minecraft Educational itself
when the sound effects are louder than igblon's tts
Great Video, however the first frame was League of Legends therefore it will be removed from UA-cam,
Have a good day :)
I can't believe he would do such a thing, time to cancel him I guess :/
Man these vids are amazing! Keep them up!
Did igobylotsofnames Fake His chemistrys - Official Moderator Analysis
Lmao
Thanks for this video. I have a test on every concept ever, and I used minecraft and the techniques that you used to get a good score
2:26 bro i used to play that pig game so much and every other angry birds game.
Not as much fun as your modpack videos, but I still really enjoyed this! Your style of video is just too fun to not be amazing!
and also good job on regular uploads :D ur insane
ive been here since 10k and i have a screenshot of it on my phone bc i knew you were going to blow up, congrats on 334k
"This is why you need to buy minecraft for me!"
You are one of the best youtubers i have ever seen you deserve more subs :)
Wow! Good job this video is great keep up the great work!
Using this for my chemistry exam
I think if you would add alloy's to games like space engineers, it might actually help.
Glass mixes aswell.
the best way to learn chemistry is just to install gregtech mod
Microsoft should have hired the gregtech mod developer to create education edition of minecraft
@@icantthinkofagoodusername5564 tbh education is unupdated bedrock with the education toggled on permanently and no server support
i would acutally be motivated to finish gregtech if that was an actual school assignment
That madlad actually did it.
This channel is so random and I love it
very in depth analysis this will be used by many educators
2:59 Grant would be proud to see his video here
5:28 you can dry sponge faster outdoors in nether, so it depends on dimension
Uhm actually for question. “Why are crystals rare?” You said they don’t naturally generate but actually they do in the end!
man your videos are masterpieces
Actually it is kinda helpfull. You can learn how to program with easier codes in the game and its also great to do an adventure map
Technically, it is correct in the context of Minecraft to say things don't fuse with your fingers. Steve doesn't have fingers, his arms are just stumps of meat.
Minecraft taught me organic chemistry and metallurgy via gregtech. I also learned how semiconductor chips are made.
In the second question you put it sirrounded by frozen objects, but it said low temperature, in a snow biome it does freeze.
We need a music/meme/gif/image folder release rn
idk man, i mainly use it to make a shrine and pray to deities at school
this is the only youtube channel having all videos cool and entertaining
You know you're in for ride when igblon uploads
The robot thing is an agent, and the code thing is called 'code builder' simular to the programming language 'scratch'
Lol yes. Minecraft Education Edition is used in my school to help visualise a few things such as Roman houses, Domus etc. My team built cities and other stuff. It is used in various countries. The maps are insane.
Very educational and inspirational video 👍👍
You know its a good day when IGoByLotsOfNames uploads
hey man, I was wondering what text to speech voice you use and how I can use it in videos of my own. Hope you can help, and thanks!
Pencil lead is graphite and real lead is Pb element. Which Is poisonous. They are different
I recommend Dr Doe's chemistry test for some good Chem revision. Newgrounds would be the place to look first
A scathing review! I'm so informed
Well, in my school they gave us access to play it, but we never had class or work in the game, we were all just happy we got free minecraft and we could play together im the breaks
love the 148 music at the beginning
5:36 End pillars: Are you sure abuot that
I will love and update with actual solid versions of the elements instead of abtract blocks, maybe with a similar system to potion brewing but more realistic.
Yeah right now it's literally just Minecraft bedrock but with a few extra blocks
For me this is already done
I don't know why the made an "educational" version I learnt roman numerals just fine in regular Minecraft.
use minecraft education edition to beat the modpack called antimatter chemistery, without using the recipe brouser thingy or any guides
The editing always amazes me, uncomparable.
A question we didn't deserved, but we got
5:54 I'm pretty sure there is a redstone block in Uranus. ;-;
I really enjoyed this video and it brought a smile to my face. :) Appreciated. The game truly needs improvement. But when "2nd graders" proudly carry around the Minecraft "Chemistry Lab Journal" and can explain amounts of molecules in Atoms, by creating these ingame, NOT with the fancy blocks but using the "element constructor"...when they create a helium baloon this way, that can be tied to a sheep for example...and you Just See the Kids smiling, it cant be that Bad. :)
Even If they might dislike Chemistry later in school, they enjoyed hearing about and "experimenting" with it now. :)
I dont want to get into great Detail why I think this Game is a great Idea. It has much potential. It is originally based on a mod by teachers created in 2011. It just slowly seems to turn into an unwanted stepchild at Microsoft....yet alone the process of beeing able to register and aquire licenses, scares away many (non) computer affilated teachers already.
2 uploads in a single week damn we lucky af
As Chemistry Lover, Chemistry is so hard to learn that I almost gone crazy a couple times.
It’s a good day when igblon uploads
Yessir😏
When a vid comes out but u don’t fine out until 13 days later
Im so exited about the julius ceaser give away
The only use for education edition is that you can spell "never gonna give you up" (in a weird way) with blocks
Now we're asking the real questions
I love the, we do a litte trolling referente when starti g the Pompei destruction
3:44 That physically hurt
Omg you're my favorite yt !!1
Akshually I go by lots of names, 5+1÷2 is 5.5 not 3
its only good because all the schools computers have it with local network multiplayer
finally someone made a video about it
87 ding sound effects this video. This was a hard one.
This is what happens when a minecraft youtuber, weird shitposter and a chemistry teacher have a baby, this is the perfect minecraft channel.
Just look how this guy has evolved
yay more uploads!
I like how I learned chemistry, calculus and Pompeii all in 10 minutes
Schools need to improve

Had no idea you uploaded videos this late 😭
The "why don't we use plastics for house construction" question was quite obvious, actually: carboneum blocks are ugly.
Nice video men
Minecraft education edition: Well, um you see… ummm…
10/10 editing
you deserve the "World Most Random Video Award" wtf
I love the sporadic inclusion of 3blue1brown at 2:59, instant like and subscribe from me
Wolfram might be the greatest thing on the internet.
Without chemistry there is also just normal Minecraft Wich is educational by itself, the coding, and math.
