சாம்பார் வடை/ பச்சைமிளகாய் தேங்காய்ச்சட்ணி/ மெதுவடை || Vada with Sambar and Green Chilli Chutney

In this video, I will be showing you how to make a very popular and tasty
Vada with a tasty Sambar and Spicy Green Chilli Chutney. This is a very popular starter dish which is super tasty and everyone will enjoy. I have also paired this with a tasty and quick to make sambar and a really quick gGreen Chilli Chutney. When it is paired with the Vada it tastes even better. Please enjoy watching and making this amazing Vada with a tasty Sambar and Spicy Green Chilli Chutney :)
Vada ingredients:
Urad Dal - 2 cups
Onions - 2
Green chilllies - 6
Some curry leaves
Fennel seeds - 2 teaspoons
Salt - 2½ teaspoons
Sambar ingredients:
Moong dal - ¼ cup
Lentils - ¼ cup
2 whole garlic
5 green chillies
1 large onion
3 small aubergines
2 potatoes
2 tomatoes
Turmeric powder - ½ teaspoon
Some salt
Curry powder - 1 teaspoon
Some tamarind
Some hot water
Mustard seeds - ¼ teaspoon
Fennel seeds - ¼ teaspoon
Cumin seeds - ¼ teaspoon
Chana dal - ½ teaspoon
6 dried red chillies
Some curry leaves
Compounded asafoetida powder - ¼ teaspoon
Some coriander
Green chilli chutney ingredients:
9 green chillies
1 whole garlic
A piece of ginger
Some curry leaves
Some salt
½ a coconut
½ a lime

Wow, our fabourite 'sambar methu vadas'. Yes, it makes a wonderful meal for a change. This is the actual original recipe. Nowadays, people add steamed rice to make the 'vadas' fluffy or add semolina to make it crispy. I make it your way. My grandmother, sometimes, used to make it plain, without adding any ingredients except salt to taste. She used to prepare sugar syrup, with a bit of cardamom powder and added the cooled vadas into it for immediate consumption. Something like 'gulab jamum'. Sometimes, she used to boil sugar and when it was about to crystallize, she added the 'vadas' and coated them completely with the sugar. Oh, that was a wonderful treat for us, my siblings and I. Give it a try, if you like dear. I am going to make the green chillie chutney and enjoy my 'thosais' and 'idlies' Thank you dear, for sharing. All the best. God bless. With lots of love.😍💕💕💕🙏
