I have to set PCIe gen to 'auto' to get any of my systems to recognize all the cards on risers
If I set to Gen1, they either don't boot at all, or they keep dropping the cards in Windows and resetting display driver

I got 11 x 6600XT on a Biostar TB360-BTC Pro 2.0, ran very stable for around 4 to 5 hours all hashing at 31.8MH / 48Watts each. Woke up the next morning and the rig had crashed, now i havent been able to get it running properly again...

Red Panda, I'm not so sure that this is a B250 chipset problem, though it may be the case with RX6600 XT's. My son built a 13 card RX5700 rig and a 13 cardRX5600
rig using the Asus B250 mining motherboard. Both of these rigs are running on Simplemining OS. Both of those rigs are using the Celron G3900 CPU and have 4GB
of RAM.
Makes me wonder if it is a bios issue on the Octominer and the red miner since you stated that they use the same motherboard. Difficult to say for certain because
both of you miners seem to handle 12 Nvidia cards so it is also possible that the B250 chipset along with the 6600 bios could have a negative impact.

I have 16 computers in a room and the power is separate, I'm already afraid to add a few more computers, because the power wires in the wall are quite hot and I don't want to make any short circuits. Why does my 6600xt rig die after 3 cards. I have done everything, replaced risers, USB cables used different cards to start and slowly add more cards and at 3 no matter what card I use it refuses to post. I have had 6 cards on this board before. Tested all cards individually and they all work. The most confusing thing is, I have to hard reset the BIOS for it to even post once it goes dark. Is there anything I am doing wrong?

Glad to see it running. I had that battle with my 5600xt rig. It ran great for a year now and all he sudden went south quick and had to lower a lot of overclocks a lot to get it stable again. That rig is looking really nice though. That power is almost the same my antminer s9 uses lol. And I am sure that 6600xt rig produces more.
I had the same issue with my 5600xt. I think the memory is slowly degrading. I used to be able to run 1900 on the memory but now it's down to 1780.
Lots of issues with Navi cards on hiveoswith teamredminer running fine since November 2020 and suddenly unstable in the middle of August crashing multiple times a day even at stock with stock bios. Spent 4 weeks troubleshooting. What fixed it for me, Completely reinstalled hiveos, clean install, new worker with 0.6-172 expanded the partition, now solid as a rock again on my old overclocks.

Hi @redpandamining. Thx for the video. Do you have a list with the comparison of hashrate/watt of your rigs? maybe the 6600xt comparised with 3070 or 3080 or something else.
idk why... but... I had 2 6600's now that wouldn't take a memory clock. They stayed at base clock no matter what I put in hiveos it would show base clock in team red miner. It was showing 1000. So I put in 1000 in hiveos for memory clock, then tried 1005, and it worked. Kept going up trying to get it them to crash or stop taking the clock, eventually I got to the same clocks as the other's I have and they all hash within .5mh/s of each other. They are all at 1135 memory clock now. Never experienced that before..
Is it possible to swap the boards with the mystic or octo? What about an AMD mobo?
I skipped VDDCI, and all my Powercolor Fighter 6600 XT cards running 32.32-32.35mhs/54-55w now. one of the card I have the same problem like you before it.

I am having the same problem with one of my 6600xt gpu. It can’t go over 30Mh/s. (HiveOS)Let’s us know if you got a fix with yours. Keep the good videos going!
hashrate is pretty much solely dependent on memory clock with these cars, if you're mining ETH I've had best success with NBminer. Memory clocks should be at least 1100 in hiveos or 2200 in windows (I run 2300 MHz and get 33MH/s on all 4 of my 6600xts.). Do no use fast timings in the radeon settings if in windows. You can bring the voltage of the core all the way to minimum and run the core clock around 850 mhz.
^^^^ Do what this guy says, NB Miner with 2300 mem. I have 5 6600xts, 4 of them are running 33.5 MH/s and one doing 32.8
I had a RX 6600 XT stuck on 29Mh/s.. left everything empty except the power limit.. set it to 100 and voilà it went over 32MH/s..
I have Powercolor Hellhounds and run them on Gminer. 1100 core, 655 VDD and 1155 MEM and they get a tad over 33 or a tad under 33MH.
bro, have you tried rebooting the rig? is there no green screen? or hiveos gpu status error no temp? my rig requires GPU0 VDD default or 800s, if below there is a green screen. is it because the driver is not stable yet?

I can't get to work 6x (2x 1660 Super and 4x 1660 TI) on MSI Z390A Pro. Longest I had it working was 8 days. Usually one GPU stops mining after couple of hours. Tried everything, that I've found on internet. 5 working fine.
any reason it stops? specific GPU dying out etc? Maybe look into reduced OC.

I have 18 x rx 6600 xt sapphire on 2 rigs (9 gpu / rig). Maybe you could help me please.
My hive os configurations are all approximately 1100 (core clock) /600 (core voltage) / 1125-1160 (mem clock) (the result is 32-33Mh/ gpu but 63-67w / gpu.
As soon as I try to change the "core voltage" to 620/660, it works for a while (the gpu then consume 5 to 10w less card), but the rig crash after a moment (after a few minutes or after a few hours). is there a calculation rule to set the core voltage?

Bro, just use:
Core clock 940
Core voltage 660
Memory clock - start at 1150 and go up +5 until you reach 1180 MC.
Varies per GPU brand obviously.
My cards run best at 1180, 1175, 1170 and 1160
This way you'll have around or over 33 MH/s and between 50-58w.

Currently, I am running at 32/33 mh on my 24 cards but with the core of 1100 or 1200 (and 600 in voltage). When I put 660 voltage, it works and it ends up crashing. And I have a rig that keeps crashing because of a crashing card, it's super boring (I will boot from an ssd from tomorrow, and no longer a usb key.). Thanks again.

@redpandamining switch from TRM to Gminer. I was getting lower hash on TRM with no benefit to lower power use. Now I do have Powercolor Hellhounds, but 1100 Core, 655 VDD and 1155 MEM I am getting a hair over 33 or a hair under 33 MH on them all.

Nice video! Would you be able to do a video to show that if you used 24 6600 XT's in 2 rigs, it would double the energy overhead than it would take to run 12 3060 TI's in a single rig? For example, if it takes 2x the motherboard, cpu, ram, SSD, fans (including GPU fans), risers, and power supply, to run 24 6600 XT's using 2 rigs, wouldn't that cancel out the gains as running a single setup using x1 motherboard, cpu, etc, for the 3060 TI in a single rig?

Very cool. May I suggest switching to nineteen 4 or 6 gigabyte gpu's and switching to Ethereum Classic. There's also an extremely good chance that you can mine Bitcoin with it now that China has banned all cryptocurrency.

The molex to the MB is for stability, no fire hazard there. Powering a riser with a molex is another story.

With little bit more power and no limits to memory voltage, you should be able to get 32.

29MH was before the recent AMD driver update, with new drivers you should be getting 31-32 no issue at under 50 watts in software per card

The RX 6X00 series seems to be squirrely on some systems. They don't play nice with Navi 10 GPUs i.e. the RX 5700XT or the Radeon Pro VII. I'm running 3 x RX 6800s and I can't get a consistent tune on one random RX 6800 if I reboot. It takes several watchdog reboots to get all of them to run at above 60Mh/s each. The max I can use on a H110 MB is 3 x RX 6X00 GPUs and it totally crashes when adding even a RX 5600XT as a 4th. Real PITA.

The 360 chipset if memory serves establishes 19 pcie lanes separately from the CPU. Try some powered 4 ways and give it a go.

IMO that mobo is like $1000 so i would use different GPU where u can max out the slots and put your 6600xt on a cheaper mobo but maybe thats just me lol.(assuming the problem is the GPU type not just the number of GPU/mobo not working as advertised with that many slots) also loving these 6600xt, especially the red devil, also just picked up a gigabyte 6600xt. might go with the 6700xt red devil next time even tho longer ROI but planning on filling out most of this rig with the 6600xt. cool, efficient, and red devils look sick i love the red LED

Their the 12 gpu mining frames may be aaa wave or Veda check out eBay or Amazon they give u the exact measurements.
