The definitive documentary on legendary metal icon Ronnie James Dio comes to movie theatres around the world for a two-day-only film event. Ronnie James Dio's story transcends the standard rock documentary. Beautifully highlighting both his powerful voice and his gentle heart, “DIO: Dreamers Never Die” delves deep into the singer’s incredible rise from ’50s doo-wop crooner to his early rock days in Elf and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, to replacing Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath, and finally cementing his rockstar status with his own band, DIO. The first documentary to be authorized by the artist’s estate, the film incorporates never-before-seen footage and personal photos from Dio’s archives as well as offering intimate scenes with his closest peers, family, and friends, among them Wendy Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Glenn Hughes, Vinny Appice, Lita Ford, Rob Halford, Sebastian Bach, Eddie Trunk and Jack Black, as they bring viewers inside the life of one of the most beloved figures in rock.
In addition to the feature-length film, this special event will also include a hand-picked selection of outtakes from the cutting room floor, creating an experience that is exclusive only to fans in attendance.
No words, just tears of joy. Hail, Dio!

*IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE?!*
The man was amazing as a singer and a human being! Fabulous powerful vocals and so good looking, kind hearted, a real gentleman and much loved. We all miss him. RIP Ronnie.
Finaly we hear from a cool chick ❤
@@Jordan-qo9vz Thank you Jordan. 🙂 I have always loved RJ Dio as a singer and as a person.
I grew up on this stuff and always loved Dio, who doesn't ? My oldest son and I just saw LoG and KSE who did their epic cover of Holy Diver, it was excellent. I will always have a special place in my heart for RJD. What an absolute legend. 🤘🏻🤘🏻 RIP
I was 12 when he passed on, I wish I could have gotten to know him but as I grew older I got into great rock and metal music. AC/DC Black Sabbath both with Ozzy and Dio and Ozzy and Dio as solo artists . And many others . Many others . I just really hope I can see this before either it goes out of theaters or it goes on dvd cause my step mom (I call her mom) won’t buy it for some reason.
Fans are the most pitiful and pathetic creatures to ever slither around the face of the Earth.
My heart is beating...the best metal singer ever..love, respect and inspiration forever dear James 🙏🤟🤟🤟
Especially in Rainbow rising!
As a person definetely full of charisma and such a beautiful and intelligent human being.
Amén!
Looking forward to seeing this. I read the book a few months back. One of our generations finest vocalist. Always creating new music. RIP Ronnie
Literally an underdog Icon. By far one of (If not the best) Rock n Roll/Heavy metal singer/Song writers of the 70s, 80s , 90s. No words can describe how excited I am to see this! 🎸🤘🤘✨
!
Great documentary !!!! R.I.P. Ronnie !!!
The only singer who’s voice (still to this day) gives me goosebumps. What an unbelievable talent. RIP, Dio. You will be remembered forever.
Couldn't agree more!
🤟
Hope its on DVD and Bluray soon
The holy father of heavy metal.
We miss you dude 🤘🤘🤘🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
So cool that this will be in theatres. He deserves it.

This got to see!!! 👏👍
Rest in peace Master Dio. 🙏
Your music lives forever in your hearts! 🤘🤘🤘
La voz,... arte... poder... magia. Y un ser elevado.
Дио навсегда! 🤘🏻
Our music scene never been the same since the passing of the great man Ronnie James Dio. Thank you for this movie!
I'm 61, and first heard DIO with Rainbow way back in the day. Rainbow 'Rising' and 'Long Live Rock and Roll', then of course his work with Black Sabbath. I had the pleasure of seeing RJD with 'Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow' in NYC (either the Palladium or Beacon Theater... I forgot). He was mesmerizing and powerful! I knew back then that he would be one of my all time favorite rock vocalists.
61.same here! I've had the pleasure of seeing Ronny 17 times during his long career . 2 of the times I've seen him were in small clubs where you could walk right up to the stage to shake his hand! Great times & I'm glad I had the opportunity! RIP RJD 🙏
Going to call off so I can go see this 🤘🏾
This was one of my favourite movie theatre experiences. There was maybe 20-30 people in the theatre, but everyone was talking to each other, and sharing their passion for metal and the life of Dio. And then the movie started and the sound and power from his voice, and along with seeing my metal hero’s on the big screen was quite special. Great documentary. Will watch it again. RIP RJD 🤘🤘
Cry Out Stand And Shout Carry On!!! Long Live Ronnie James Dio!!! 🤘
Looking forward to seeing this on September 28 near my place .
I have all of Ronnie James Dios music most of it .
My favorite vocalist of all time.🤘
Aguante Dio. Un ejemplo a seguir! Lo llevo siempre en mí corazón desde pequeño! Que emoción tengo por ver este film!
Just saw it. Fantastic. Highly recommend
Great to see a Master getting so much love. Deserving. 💜
Beleza Demais!!!.
Meu Caro deus Dio.
Quanta saudade.
provavelmente o mais afinado cantor de rock pesado de todos os tampos. Plant, Gillan e Halford iniciaram este tipo de voz. Dio refez tudo com uma magnífica lapidação..
? They all sang completely different. He used open throat technique with more power than them.
Como fala asneira... Incrível!
Um monstro e lenda do Rock. Que descanse em paz Dio pois seu legado jamais será esquecido.
Nos encontraremos no Valhalla Do Rock & Roll🤘🤘
Wrong mythology
The real king of rock and roll🤘🤘🤘
I know I said it on another vid. But I'm so excited for this. I don't care how I get there, but I'm going to see this in theaters. Thank you! 🤘🏻
Something worth watching. Dio's pipes were amazing.
The King is dead.....Long live the King.......R I P Ronnie x
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes and a Hell Yeah!!
So well made. Tears flowed at the end (as expected). RIP RJD 🤘🏻🤘🏻
This was absolutely worth it! We stayed for the after video too - I was mesmerized in the depth the movie covered. More rock singers should have been interviewed for this, though I'm sure it was hard to keep to 2 hours already. The man was great! Personality goes all the way! We will be playing more Dio around here than usual.... his voice will live on forever, he made his mark in this world!
Hope the DVD comes out for Christmas gifts!
The best . Inspirational. Also Rowan Robertson. You wrote some of the best songs with Ronnie.
Makes me so joyful inside when people are like me in the love of this man's soulful, spirited voice. We get to "keep the gold that falls" alright! That gold of course being RJD music.
I was 12 when Dio passed on to metal heaven . But in my eyes? Nobody really passed away. I just was a kid then and I loved his voice and was just getting into him. I love his voice still. I’m in my 20’s now. And I wanna see this so bad.
Was it really so long ago?! Seems like last year for me...
I saw it and I can assure you that you won't be disappointed, in fact it runs deep emotionally for the hard core fans. Long live the legacy of Ronnie James DIO. 🤘
@@nickgreen4731 I know right ? I grew up listening to great rock and metal artists clearly.
@@nicholastahan7670 I named my last calico Dio she for sure responds to it lol.
I was in the same boat. The only regret I have is that I never saw him live
for me james dio is the best artist and the best voice that metal has ever had 🤘🏼
The man from the silver mountain

Amazing Documentary, seen it last night, hands down, Dio is King🤘🤘🤘🤘
I was excited for this until I saw Eddie Trunk.
THIS WAS THE BEST DOCUMENTARY I'VE EVER SEEN! SPOT ON! BRAVO! IT GETS 4 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Just saw the documentary, and it was really well done. Except Vivian Campbell got shafted by Wendy. Not only was he not invited to participate in the documentary (which is an utter shame considering Vivian's contributions to the rise of Dio and a new height of popularity), Wendy decided to focus the doc only on a very specific negative time near the end of Vivian's tenure with the band.
I'm sure Ronnie had various things to say about Vivian over the years, but here's what he had to say in 2002 about Vivian a good 15 years after they stopped making music together.
"This other wonderful presence come into our lives, Vivian Campbell, who was such a magical guitar player. This kid was just born with that thing in his hand. He could just play like an angel."

Clearly Ronnie didn't hold a grudge like Wendy did.
best doc. saw it on Crave but should be here on youtube for free for the fans. just saying. \\m//\\m// best doc ever. cried at the end. holy crap. this is your life song is wow! last recording before he died.
yes!!!!! WHAT A SINGER, WHAT A CAREER!

Só pode haver um! Ronnie James Dio!
¡Gracias por traerlo a los cines de Argentina! Allí estaré el 28.
Truly the greatest metal singer. Seeing him live, he was in fact larger than life. Legendary stage presence. And a voice so amazingly versatile and fluid, he could bring listeners to tears. He could (and often did) sing with the voice of angel, and switch to the sound of a meat grinder in the same word. His songs would make you feel like you could take on the world ...and win. Or in some cases, put the fear of God in you, and have you running to church for confession. (see: Too Late)
But what I remember most, is the build up and anticipation of E5150, and the intense explosion of energy and excitement when Dio charged onto the stage with Mob Rules, and I looked to my left for a split second to see all of us, in unison, headbanging to the "larger than life" legendary founders of a genre, in pure Heavy Metal ecstasy. I'm telling you, at that very moment, we were all one.
And I'm bringing a box of tissues to the movie, just in case my old ass gets choked up...
Think about the diversity of sound RJD delivered over the years, and how good it was through each phase. Each one with it's own flavor, but always at its highest level. He influenced generations of musicians. He was a pioneer, in many instances ahead of his time. (see: Strange Highways, Magica...)
There will never be another Dio.
Молодцы. Не прошло и 13 лет.
There is no metric in which to measure his greatness! Seen him 3x & value his legacy!!! Lyrical & vocal master! RIP Ronnie..... Thank you for all of it!!!
Dio forever!
El pequeño gran Elfo... larga vida a Ronnie!
There HAS to be on KILLER rock band in heaven !
I THINK WE ALL KNOW WHO THE LEAD SINGER IS 🤟👹👹👹
Bonzo on drums, Lemmy on bass, Hendrix on guitar and vocals by RJD.

Un grande con toda su banda .. leyenda del metal!!
De mis artistas favoritos en todas las bandas que estuvo hizo magia!
Just watched .. I rocked , i laughed, I remembered and I cried .. Miss u always
In Dio we rock!!!!
HEAVEN AND HELL
Ronnie molded Viv. Plain and simple. Ronnie was already a seasoned songwriter and musician with years and years of experience under his belt. Viv was a kid with zero experience at the time. He probably had the suits blowing smoke up his ass as well. Jokes on him though, sure his paychecks are big now from leppard, but he plays rhythm and doesn’t show off his true abilities. The price you pay for not staying true and humble. All hail DIO
Amor eterno Dio 🤘🏿
Siiiiiii!!!!!!!
Aguante dio!!!!!!!!

RONALD PADAVONA ( AKA : RONNIE JAMES DIO .\M/ 🌹R.I.P.🌹🌹BORN : JULY 10 1942... -- MAY 16 2010🌹🌹🌹AGE : 67🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Jack Bkack ruined it for me. What a clown. Long live RJD!
Why am I only now hearing about this?? This is a must watch!!
Why they don't tell about the real Dio? I have a lot of maganizes with Cozy Powell's interviews in which he says that Dio was a bitter, evil person. When Cozy was in black sabbath, he broke his hips and Dio took advantage of the situation and fired Cozy without any chance of recovering. He spent years bitching about Rainbow's name and is curious though, in the trailer there is not a picture of Rainbow... why? Because Dio always wanted to hide the truth that Ritchie gave him the chance to success
For me,’, Dio, Priest, Maiden, and OZZY will always be the foundation of metal.
RJD is too important for this not to be epic. The trailer falls short and already worries me.
There is a lot to live up to.
This is not gonna be a good documentary that is providing a genuine picture of Ronnie and his career. It's just gonna be a sequence of clips of different people saying how great and awesome Ronnie was. Who needs this adulation?! We all know Ronnie was great. Show the real man with his strengths and weaknesses. Show his real career with it's ups and downs. Show the great moments, the conflicts and the decline.
My only complaint with this documentary is that they didn't include the song "Hide in the Rainbow" made for Iron Eagle. I think it's one of Dio's best
where "world wide"? I wanna see, guess I gotta Google. Imy in California, where in the Holy frickin Hell would I get to see it here in Cali? Help!!
I saw dio live 3 times ... I went to wacken 7 times ... I was there experienced it ... don't need to watch as I've loads of videos of it .... oh and really rare elf cds...
