Mind. Blown. Need to tell my conductor about this
Same
The horn is an Eb Alto Triple. It is made by Engelbert Schmid. It actually has 7 rotors, as the change valves work in tandem. Fantastic system!
I don't know if I do it right, but I blow into the instrument while pressing the keys to hear for spit
a guy in my class ALWAYS does this and i just realized this is what he was doing haha
Same
Duuuude, this is awesome! That's a crap load of spit/condensation, too. :D Thanks for the tip.
THIS IS SO HELPFUL OMG
Awesome, thanks!! My son needed this info.
AWESOME! Thanks.
I love his voice
I'm definitely doing this, thanks for the tip
Whatttt ?!?!?!?!
Where has this been when i have needed it xD
Tornado 1001 I feel like my life has been saved xD
Thank u master army dude
Do you have to remove the Bb horn 3rd tuning slide? How does water jump from the Bb horn side to the F horn side? Is this why you wiggle the 1st and 2nd valves?
I use my tuning slide to remove spit 😑
Entrance. Same😂 but I’m on trumpet
Thank you
thank you for clarifying my doubts!
Thanks for the tip
My mind was blowned
Thanks for the info
THANK GOD!!!!! NOW I CAN PLAY!!!!!! woooooh!
That is awesome.
AWESOME!!!! Thanks.
HOW HAVE I NEVER KNOWN ABOUT THIS!?
Great resources!
don't you just learn something new everyday
WOW. THX
Triple horns
hold the horn valves up, hold trigger and wiggle the 3 rotors. do this while slowly turning the horn till the valves are facing down. u should have turned it a full 180. Hold the trigger and slowly turn it 90 degrees till the trigger slide that is side by side with ur tuning slide... empty it while still hlding trigger. continue to hold trigger and turn it another 90 degrees and empty the trigger slide that is side by side with ur 3 key slides. After that, continue to hold trigger and empty the other tuning slide that isnt ur main tuning slide. Completely empty horn
On an F/Bb double horn, does the water accumulate only in the 3rd F slide or the 3rd Bb slide?
MeeGustaaaa Bb
Thank you very much :)
I think it's both.
how did I never know about this
What if you don’t have a double horn/trigger on your french horn?
Well you can't do this
I was taught to keep spinning the horn. We were taught to remove our mouthpieces and then spin the horn about 2-3 times. It's slower than this method, but it works.
Big help thanks!
Glad it helped!
holy crap thank you so much
This never works for me. I have to keep rotating the horn like a stirring wheel to get all the spit out if it’s none in the valves.
Better tip for if you're sitting down- empty the leadpipe and then blow into each corresponding value very quickly and empty any that sounds like spit
Each horn has a different feel, so the longer you play on it, the more familiar you'd be with the common valves that the spit would be in
3rd valve trigger usually has as much spit as a goddamn trombone for me though lol
Unknown reason for watching this because I am a percussionist.
EAS Cubing sir didn’t you say you played trumpet lmao
this was super helpful, but i think he has a different type of horn; i dont have a trigger.is the one he's using a double horn?
Jenna Siek triple I think
He has 2 triggers, its very heavy by the way
He is using what is called a “Full triple horn” this is typically heavier in weight, requires more skill to play and can be much more expensive.
Hey Top, damn that's a lot of water...
+Robert Cherry What does the difference between the regular Bb/F/high F and the Eb alto triple horn? When you press both levers does that mean you can Play music in Eb? Thank You
Wish this actually worked, but it doesn't at least on my Conn 8D
Hello! What is the model and this instrument? How many rotors?
Engelbert Schmid full triple, high F. There are 7 valves.
I am a French horn player and it did not work for me
I tried it multiple times but it didn’t work
Now if only i had a better horn...
Hey Robert, My name is Adam (16) and I play in a rep band in Australia. I've been playing for about 7 years now but still struggle with my higher register (E's (in lines) is the highest), do you have any tips for increasing my range? ~Thanks from Australia :)
Adam, Andrew Joy here. Check out "The Balanced Embouchure" at www.trumpetteacher.net
Would you do the same with a single horn French Horn?
0 : 32
what if you have a single horn?
Is that a double horn??? Bc my double horn ain’t workin
I think mines broken
Nice. However, my third valve slide is stuck. :)
Does anyone know if this will work on a double horn???
Yes but comes out mouth peace
.... Can you do it on first keys??? The other one just won't come out😭😭😭
It’s not spit, it’s just water
crying because my trigger thing is frozen and kinda stuck
SO EVERY TIME I PLAY ITS LIKE THERE'S A COUGH STUCK IN IT AND ITS HORRIBLE BECAUSE IM A BEGINNER TO SO I KINDA SUCK
Have you put rotary oil on the rotors? I know I'm a year late, but hey, for all I know, you might still need the help
What kind of horn is this? 🤔
Hi Nathan. This is an Engelbert Schmid Eb Alto Triple. Fantastic instrument!
French horn lol
NUNI?
😱😷!!!
I just turn it till it all comes out the mouth piece
Didn't work for me.
Me: ok, ok
*pulls out valve and dumps
😳wtf?!?
this is garbo
