Which company did u work in?
Link is dead.
🎉
Youre so beautiful Erika. would you go out with me?
How
You can tell she worked extremely hard and decided to carve her own path
From literally a 30 second UA-cam short 💀 sure
@@nossenkantermaybe they meant the video
Law school isn't for dummies or half assery. You wouldn't get in if you were in the first place and many wash out and even more trying to pass the bar exam. It's smart people dedicating to school and nothing but school to get there.
It’s crazy that you were miserable at that firm. But sometimes life isn’t only about money.
It really shows why Lawyers make so much money. Due to the long hours and stress no one wants these jobs
@@pokane850 its a toxic work culture. I worked as a Litigation Paralegal for several years and overworking yourself is valued
@@cjuare123 yeah no point in having money if you aren’t happy and constantly stressed with no time
@@cjuare123I had the same experience
You sorted of answered your own question. The money and happiness are different.
Corporate world is corporate world, no matter how much you make.
Nothing like being in business for yourself.
95% of businesses FAIL. And you're working all the time and responsible for everything that happens. There's no clocking out. Stop putting ideas into people's heads without mentioning that it requires even more work and comes with the risk of complete ruin.
Wow, a lawyer, in Japan, that’s my dream
That’s an idiotic dream. Being a lawyer is already bad, being a lawyer and working in Japan is even worse
@@SaintICwhy is it bad ?? I was planning to go to law school after high school , perhaps you could tell me what made you think law is bad?
Yep me too i wanna go to law school, why would it be bad?
I should have been more specific, law is defo a good and lucrative career path, but the hours you have to put it insane, then combine that by workin at a Japanese company, you won't have a life outside of work@@yusrafatima126
@@yusrafatima126 it's not bad, but being a lawyer is really tough. If you can put in the work to get there though, you should be fine.
Source: trust me. It is not like I am selling some course like 100 others
Why would you think a lawyer doesn’t make that much? Even if she is selling a course, that’s expected for a corp law salary. I’ve even seen people with 100k+ bonuses. Lmao
@@user-ll1iz4wq6kwhat she learned was people will pay you money in hope of making money
? You clearly know nothing.
@@user-ll1iz4wq6khe's talking about the "lesson" why she quits to become an "money influencer", not the lawyer corp salary.
She invested all of it and now she is living off cash flow whether that’s in a form of real estate or dividends
My dad is a lawyer and I’m a only child
He got us a decent house my mom works at this spa 70 dollars a hour so?

I appreciate you helping people out.
I personally appreciate it. Thank you
Hello Erika. Your talent and hard work is very impressive. Thank you for sharing your life story and helping others. Many get disillusioned with the grifting and corruption of the government and private sector. It's great to see you be such an inspiration and example for others.
I don’t understand how an attorney can practice law in a different state let alone a different country (?) I thought most areas of the law were very state specific.
I always enjoy Erika's videos content. Thanks for sharing!
I wanna be a corporate lawyer but I don't know much about these kinds of lawyers so if you could give a thorough explanation about corporate lawyers I would be delighted
Same here
It's an ungodly boring job. They sit you at a desk and you read all day long. For 12+ hours a day 6-7 days a week.
They have you reading contracts as a greenhorn. You're reading every single contract that comes in but you're reading it for any issues or corrections. You're looking anything you can exploit or be used against you. You then provide briefs for higher ups on them. Day in day out for YEARS.
This isn't like turn your brain off reading either. You have to be able to maintain focus and actually understand and read them. It's why the bonuses and burnout rate is so high.
The unironic part is this will be one of the first aspect of law to be taken up by AI.
They read faster than you, learn faster, and spot nuance and it's only getting better.
The only reason it doesn't work for legal stuff right now is because lawyers are shitting themselves.
Most of the things people need lawyers for can be done by AI.
Even if you do need a trial lawyer most of their behind the scenes work can still be done by AI.
@@seemlessliesur making me rethink my career options…I need to ask you though that is AI really gonna take over corporate law
@@seemlesslies I'm a lead engineer and worked with the legal team here and there. Your explanation sounds correct. And all the issues I had to work with them on were regarding contracts and how we shouldn't say or do certain things because it could be used against us and how we should craft certain clauses.
I'm jealous you even had the opportunity to go through that ! Lol
I see what people mean about it being a lot of work, but look at the takeaways. Would you rather work and bust your back for a company working in physical labor?! Or work as a Corporate Lawyer and make more money than they'd ever make?! And you're still working the same.
neither
Thabk you for sharing your experience!
I want to be a lawyer when I grow up, so its super cool to see successful lawyers on youtube! (For clarification, I am a young teenager
Same :)
hey, i didn’t really know how to get my channel out there, so, my first video is out!
Thank you for giving us the info!
You’re worth all that and more. Thrilled for you, that you needn’t settle for less
This is the way to do it..Go hard right out of the gate and cover your necessities (debt, housing). Then focus on what's important to you.
i quit! the IRS mafia took 50% of my hard earned money!
The fact that they are legitimately a mafia and no one bats an eye
😂
Deadass?
So you paid 15% higher than the top marginal tax rate and twice the effective tax rate and those bringing in $5M and up? BS. Only way that true is if you faced huge penalties for not paying your taxes correctly in the first place. So that’s on you.
Erika, is it legal to use google images for youtube videos/tiktoks/websites etc? Thanks
Awesome video ERIKA. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love
They got me this apartment … but I never slept in it as I was too busy.
Thanks, Erika!
I love your journey!!
This is helpful because I’m thinking about being a lawyer as well. Thank you.
What about the working hours?
Is Litigation better than Corporate or vice-versa
tell me you have a wealthy husband without telling me you have a wealthy husband
Imagine that , pay loans , long nights of study , stress , when you can just dance 1/2 naked on tiktok lol who's the smart one.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 Right? This world is so confusing sometimes.
People have different ambitions. It's about leading a life that brings you fulfilment. Some people enjoy study and academic achievement.
Yeah and then be remembered for embarrassing your future children and family
Which vido on UA-cam should we be checking out? Can you link it?
Can you please talk more about your experience with law school and jobs after it?
Wow, you're an incredible woman.
“I learned an important lesson about money.” Easy to “learn” when you make more in two years than most will in ten.
With more than 2 million subscribers, she's probably making more money from UA-cam than from practicing law. I'm happy for her.
It’s not as much, but she does have a good income! ❤
Do you have a video on your journey to becoming a lawyer?
If that's 'all' she made out of school, who paid for her education?
She doesn't know I know this trick, pulls out gun
What about financial lawyer ?
How much was your student loan?
You earned it
That’s the #1 topic pick a career that pays that much
As single guy in his thirties. Nothing I love more than being paid extra to work abroad/travel
I love how her videos are full of teasers to make me want to learn the tips from her other videos. Nicely done!
Happiness over money
Good thing you were already making the money to actually be able to do something with it
I lived in Nagoya before, but not as a lawyer 😖. Japan is fun! Why’d you decide to move there?
Erika is half Japanese.
Someone got my IP address and is using it against me and threatening to leak it online, can I sue them even though idk them in real life and just online?
Humility.
Part of the system staff
Freedom; especially creative freedom is priceless. You feel like a slave at work.
This girl is a F'n boss
I have a corporate case in the system now can I ask you a question about these type of cases?
How important it is to know local language as corporate lawyer? Like Jp or hk
How do you get a job in another country as a US lawyer?
I think ur law firm contributes to that
Do you have any lawyer tips on how to write a writ of appeal for a non lawyer
What law school did she graduate from?
Not bad isn’t it
what's the best pre-law major to take as someone who wants to take corporate law as a graduate?
You know what I work as I work as her husband.😂
When your you tube pays more in a week than your 9 yo 5! 🎉
I do not think it matters WHAT field you go into. You will have to WORK. The question is what is your passion. People who have YT channels and see successful can pursue money as well and get caught up in serving money and a lifestyle. The key is finding what works for you and go be excellent in that path. Always remember never sell your soul and you rule money don’t let it rule you.
I am pretty sure their are Corporate Lawyers who work for themselves. So if you have a entrepreneurial path, open up your own law firm and be your own boss as a Corporate Lawyer.
That's why I want to be a lawyer cause I want to help people
Yeah you only quit because you had years of making a quarter of a million. Must be nice being able to quit and having that comfy cushion to live off of
Best part is Tokyo 😊😊😊
Corporate lawyers can work for multiple companies right? Like one in ur country and one outside??
I'm using a free lawyer right now may as well get the system to pay for it instead of dishing out thousands of dollars
Im a law student in India. How can i practice corporate law in USA
Boss move.
How come Tokyo paid more than NY? I've never heard of an international US company where it's like that.
Glad you got out of the rat race! We are doing the same on my channel!
Why don’t get the feeling you quit becuase you are just not a hard worker and can’t take the corporate culture where you have to work long hours. You may glamorize it now to show people how you got out of the circle but at the end of the day you had a side gig going on (UA-cam) not a lot of people are gonna have it so what do they don???
Can you please do one of these for MacBook Pro please? I accidentally bought a defective MacBook Pro from Best Buy which glitches randomly, and since it was at the start of the pandemic, I missed the month return policy and was unable to exchange it.
** sorry for spamming all of your videos comment sections with this. It's just that I really can't afford to buy a new laptop, and my new job requires me to bring my own personal computer since even if I wanted a company laptop, it could take months for me to receive it. Not to mention how unfair it feels to have spent so much money, only to end up with a defective product that can't be exchanged for a new one.
Please, please, please help me. I'm working this job to save money to go back to school, and I'm broke
Trading time for money which you can never get back is a reality. You only live once.
What about foreigners working in USA (europeans)? Is it possible?
BLESSINGS ❤
As a career pilot I'm astounded. 8k my first year. 14 second and so on. In 2012. Lmao fk this industry.
Lol people out of top tier law schools in Scotland come out making maybe 30k in their first year and maybe 60k after years of experience. How can you find a job paying 180k in the states straight out of law school.
Love the natural look! Don’t be afraid to do it more often.
Yes indeed
Too bad she left out the fact that corporate lawyers work minimum 80 hours per week thus u can cut her actual salary in half based on time worked and then she was in the 35% tax bracket if not more because working outside the US and having your housing subsidized is not free.
But don’t worry she’s making it up by having u people watch her UA-cam channel… LOL
The fact that your a lawyer makes you even more attractive. Im cringing at this feeling.
How do you earn so much one year out of college in Ireland you don’t get paid or you get minimum wage. I had to give up I so could pay the mortgage
Show us what a relaxing day with husband and kids looks like…😂
Dude, I want to be your friend!
My family member works at bracewell as a corporate lawyer. Does contracts in the billions, passed the London bar. Repeated rising star awards etc. Know anyone there?
Getting paid so much and having the chance to live in Japan with fancy accommodation paid for?!!!!!
Don't all lawyers quit to start some business on shark tank or open a café?
Where did Erika go to law school?
How to get a job in us after completion of Indian law degree
❤this lady
You weren’t a lawyer long enough
How much money do you make as a social media person?
I couldn’t work with certain people no matter how much you paid me
That's bogus....if you don't waive your right to trial and accept a plea, you face your maximum. You shouldn't be subjected to additional charges for not allowing yourself to be coerced out of exercising your rights.
Cute chicks win at life. You could have gotten that salary at a gas station.
Wtf is your pfp?💀💀💀💀
Wow that's around the same salary my wife makes. And she isn't 100k+ in debt or has to work more than 40 hours a week for it.
Cool what does she do?
Yes money is.freedom baby
Is it possible to make this not going to a T14?
it is possible
Well once you had that income for a few years as long as you don’t have kids you can easily just be an investor lol 😂
Sorry, but I have some doubts that at an entry level position in a law firm one can make 180k. Glassdoor shows much lower benchmarks. Also international assignments to Japan at your first corporate job right away - this usually happens with people on more senior positions🤷♀️
I’m not buying it either.
Look up first year salaries on NALP for big firms. It's all public info.
You’re making more as a UA-camr but that should be tax exempt because it’s public service.
sure
hmm.
you should ignore the takedowns, and keep going.
everyone starts from the bottom, but not everyone can make it to the top.
