- "Hymn do Bałtyku" - a Polish anthem dedicated to the Baltic Sea.
The song was created in 1919, in connection with Poland regaining independence and gaining open access to the sea. The author of the words is Stanisław Rybka-Marius, while the melody was written by Feliks Nowowiejski. The anthem plays an important role in the tradition of the Polish Navy. It is one of the most important songs on the coast, usually performed during important state and military ceremonies
The event from the first picture is called "The Battle of Oliwa" which was fought in November 1627. It was probably the largest naval battle of Poles in their entire history.
