I love this! This is like a spiritual journey/adventure for Luke re-learning the Force like he once used it after his own death and facing his own fears/emotions which is interesting. We also get a nice peek of seeing of the afterlife of the Nethworld which is super cool.
aww man luke seeing obi-wan, yoda and anikan is so sweet, especially with their banter with one another and yoda saying they will have further training together really provides a proper final chapter to Luke Skywalker where he can truly be with friends and family and ascend into the cosmic force as the last jedi
@@zacg8975 Dang it, I wish this happened. I would've had a big dumb smile on my face seeing Ben,Yoda and Anakin with Luke. It would've been nice if they helped him overcome his fear instead of holding on to it and the guilt he felt.
I really like that you had Anakin and Luke meet in this, one thing that had made me actually really like the sequels would have been seeing Hayden and Mark interact with each other.
Amazing video! One of many things that was missing-Luke having a proper interaction with his ghost masters-and you delivered it in a way that kept a bit of mysticism to it. Well done
Great ideas especially the first Force ghost interaction those first lines from Kenobi, Yoda and Anakin towards Luke sound just in character especially Anakin's "I was a slow learner too if you remember " 👌🍻
To be honest, the story JJ chose wasn’t terrible. It was the execution of what he chose. A more fleshed out movie, giving it time to find itself in smaller moments between the characters, would’ve done wonders. And they should’ve addressed Anakin once. I think when Rey heard the voices she should’ve been transported to the Veil of the Force and spoke to Anakin. Kind of a Dumbledore and Harry at King’s Cross moment.
@@duller9430 I would argue any Skywalker is the main character. Anakin is a main character from Episode 1 to 6, and Luke is a main character from 4 to 8. They tried to pass the baton to Rey too soon.
The thought of them being more powerful as ghost sounds cool to me, because it took me back to A New Hope when Obi-Wan said "If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine".
I think the biggest problem with the ST as a lady with a film degree, who studied screenwriting and production is....it comes down to one single thing....The writing. But not for the reasons people often point to. For me, The GSU aka Goal Stakes and Urgency, are. Not. There. When it comes to screenwriting, you need to answer those questions before you even pick up a pen or get to a keyboard. The audience needs to know WHAT the story is about, WHAT is the objective, WHY they should care. The goals stakes and urgency is the foundation of any good movie. There's a bad misconception that PLOT and CHARACTER are separate. That "oh this movie is plot heavy" but that's just because the writing of the characters is so bad that it seems like it isn't there when it should be. Or "The movie focuses too much on the characters" that's just because the plot is not there when it should be. They're as intertwined as Depp and Sparrow. And with GSU that's well established, you don't worry about that problem. You care about the plot because you care about that character's goals, you care about the stakes OF that plot, you worry about what happens if they fail in that goal, you worry about that URGENCY. You can look at ANY film good or bad, and apply this rule. Movies that have well established GSU are easy to follow and often entertaining and if you are bored in the movie or not paying attention, that's on you not the film. If they are poorly established and you're bored in the movie, that's on the movie not you. Let's take a look at different films from different years and genres to understand. *Jurassic Park:* The Goal is to tour the island before the storm so that everyone gets back and is safe. The stake is that it's people vs dinosaurs and the storm knocked out the power meaning the dinosaurs are able to roam free. The urgency is if you don't get the power back on everything continues to go to hell. *Scream:* the goal is to survive a pair of serial killers. The stakes is that you can't trust anyone. The urgency is that it's only a matter of time before they set their sights on Sidney. She's never safe. *Transformers 2007:* The goal is to get to the allspark before Megatron. The stakes is that if he gets the allspark before Optimus all life on Earth is going to be wiped out. The urgency is Deceptions are already on Earth, going after Sam, THEN it becomes battle heavy urgency in the third act. If Optimus dies in battle, all hope is lost. *Avengers: Infinity War:* the goal is to get to the Infinity Stones before Thanos. The stakes is that if he wins half the universe dies. The urgency is HE HAS TWO STONES GET TF GOING. When you master the goals stakes and urgency in screenwriting, everything else comes naturally. When it comes to the sequel trilogy, the goal is there, the stakes are not, the urgency is not. So the goal no longer matters, you don't care about Rey trying to turn Ben because before she thought him a monster. You don't care about the plot because why does it matter that these things are happening. You don't care about the stakes because it's something we've seen before but better.
@@BigOunce91 it's really tiring to see people still talk about the trilogy and miss the key reason why the movies fail. the GSU is why Multiverse of Madness fails as well. *Goal:* Wanda wants her kids. She needs America's powers to get to them. Okay. *Stakes:* Strange wants to protect America cause if she loses her power she dies. Okay. makes sense death hanging over one's head is always a good classic stake. *Urgency:* At first it's give America to Wanda by sundown thennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.............I....uh. Let's just keep running from Wanda. The urgency of "get her to me by sundown" is now no longer there so it's now just things happening from universe to universe. And there's no STAKES setup for multiverse travel like in Into the Spiderverse. The spiders had to get to their universe or perish. urgency is essentially a ticking clock. If one of the trinity of writing film fails, the other two crumble into dust. The Force awakens is like this too. *Goal:* find Luke before the First Order gets the map location *Stakes:* if they can't find Luke the rebellion is lost *Urgency:* ..........................................can't really think of a good one. And if urgency isn't there, then again it just feels like white noise. The urgency is an important part of screenwriting, because there needs to feel like "if this doesn't happen by x then YA DONE FCKED IT UP" again even TRANSFORMERS did this well. The urgency is during battle things go wrong all the time on a battle field. Trying to play keep away from a GIANT HUMAN HATING ROBOT is the ticking clock. Hiding from Ghostface is a ticking clock. Empire Strikes Back does this very well on the opposite end though. *Goal:* defeat the empire, Luke needs to learn the ways of the force *Stakes:* if Luke cannot become a Jedi there's no hope in facing Vader *Urgency:* this is more over arching. Luke needs to become a Jedi, before he falls to the dark like the Emperor wants. it's really honestly very simple in theory, but hard to execute well lol

Not anything that would break canon of course, but even just moments of him reflecting on the events of his life, both before he turned and as Vader. I would love to see more of his character used in some small ways after, and I realize this could be limited, but I think it could be really amazing if done thoughtfully.
