Charlie Hopkinson is a comedic impressionist, impersonator, voice guy, whatever you want to call it who specialises in voices from current television shows and films. His standup is a character act about a retired maths teacher, his standup set includes impressions of Sir David Attenborough, Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Peaky Blinders, Tommy and Arthur Shelby and Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.
Always looking to update my roster I look to try out subscriber suggested impressions in the impressions challenge series before honing the best ones. Recently I have added Peaky Blinders and Marvel / Avengers characters to my arsenal!

Dubs - Comedic dubs of iconic scenes with new dialogue, (My Peaky Blinders and Lord of The Rings dubs have grossed over 6 million views on Facebook)

I started learning impressions in 2012, at the age of 20. You can follow my full impressions journey in my new ‘How to do impressions’ tutorial series
After graduating from the University of Warwick in the summer 2013 he took 4 months out to concentrate on UA-cam videos full time, including producing his most viewed video to date ‘Morgan Freeman and 40 other impressions’ with just over 12 million views. This foray into being a ‘full time UA-camr’ was cut short as he went travelling for 3 months before starting a 2 year teaching Graduate scheme with Charity ‘Teach First’.
While teaching he has performed in and narrated the 4 episode series ‘Lookalikes’ as Morgan Freeman. The show and the narration received a positive reception. The show aired on Channel 4 during the prime time slot of Friday 10pm for three weeks. It is now currently available on Netflix. Charlie also performed with other well known impressionists for an unaired pilot.
Charlie has worked for several prominent brands in relation to their products, including google and formula 1.
Since the summer of 2016 Charlie has once again dived into the world of UA-cam, for the first time producing content on a weekly basis. He is also focusing on live performance; he has performed in live venues a total of 3 times to date.

Ugh it is effortless, for people that know almost everything about star wars those parts are super easy, throw a little comedy in which is also extremely easy than the last part isn't done by him at all, a gpu running with deepfake software does absolutely everything and it's even easier since the deepfake part only has to be a 5 or 6 out of 10

I love how Palpatine says you lost an apprentice, and so did I despite the fact that Darth maul is still alive
He did lose 50% of an apprentice. But seriously Maul's greatest strength was his aggression, physicality and Combat skill, and after being defeated he lost basically all of this and his aggression slipped into insanity for a good period of time; I think it safe to say that the apprentice was lost even if not dead.
It makes sense. He never said "Your apprentice died, so did mine" so it's true. Even though Maul survived, Palpatine still didn't want him as his apprentice, replaced him with Dooku.

I lost it at Obi Wan talking proudly about Maul not 'walking' freely anymore. Had a blast throughout entire video, this is just flawless. Hearing star wars characters referencing star wars lore in form of quips and comments is so natural and hilarious. Top work!

There is a small little mistake about the hangar. This is where Dooku meets with Sidious at the end of AotC bu not where he fights Anakin, Obi-Wan and Yoda. That was on Geonosis.
Correct. Geonosis had the hanger he entered via riding a speeder bike up and down the sand dunes. I was looking to see who would catch this. Same design for a hanger, though. They could all use better lighting.

@@OneAgileMoose 26:51 No, I think Charlie definitely mistook the Hangar on Coruscant for the hangar he fled to on Geonosis, as Obiwan states "Dooku fought - in this exact hangar" despite it not being this exact hangar. Also the room where Anakin killed Dooku wasn't a hangar, it was the observation deck at the very top of the spire on the back of the Invisible Hand.

Fun fact, Yoda actually does speak more normally on occasion, but I don't recall if it's stated why. One thing I remember is that Yoda actually can speak normally, but discovered that his more well-known speech pattern forced people to listen more carefully to what he had to say. I'm not sure why he was speaking like that in the first place, but one theory I always liked was that he started talking like that to troll a youngling and noticed people paid more attention to him when he talked.
It probably was an attention thing as people would have to decipher what he means although he really shouldn't have been speaking like that during battles as that could've confused the clones as they might not have understood what he meant and in a war clear commands are extremely important

You chose not to tear Qui Gon down, like any other modern american comedy show would have done, truly a modern SNL low level reading of the characters and a cheap insulting of all the Jedi is what we would expect, and thats all we got from the sequel movies.. 🙄
