    Sorry to see your so anoyed. I can't imagine how frustrating this must all be. I HATE when you get someone come and try tell you something as stupid as you're over greasing the steering joints. I get it all the time with certain things. People seem to think I was born yesterday or came down with the last rain shower!

    Just seen this video for the first time. Having a good rant is worthwhile if it shows defective machinery up. And saves other farmers the pain . Plus New Holland would hate the bad PR . Years ago they would just say (well its never done that before!!) and get away with it , not anymore. A belated WELL DONE WES 👍👍

    Like I mentioned in the earlier vid when that pump blew up originally if they didn't get that system flushed they were just causing trouble down the line. Today with the new electronic sensors and crap, any particulates in the wrong place causes all sorts of system faults... Don't grease a grease fitting... yeah that's a crock, just trying to make excuses for a bad design.

    The federal lemon law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) was enacted in 1975 and protects citizens of all states. State lemon laws vary by state and may not necessarily cover used or leased cars, and other goods. The rights afforded to consumers by lemon laws may exceed the warranties expressed in purchase contracts. Lemon law is the common nickname for these laws, but each state has different names for the laws and acts.

    After seeing all the problems you have had with that rower, especially the steering problem, I doubt that steering stabilizers would correct the wobbling, maybe a bit more lean position or tilt of the king pins would make the steering wheels less likely to wobble while traveling down the road. As for the sensor problems it is having I have no idea or even a suggestion, I am an old school type of mechanic that is totally lost when it comes to computer controlled systems as that thing has. Good Luck on getting them to admit they are at fault and takes the machine back with a FULL REFUND of all you paid and returns the old rower plus re-imburses you for the time and money you have lost with this piece of equipment. I feel the same as you on anything that is mass produced and put on the market at ridiculous prices and it breaks down in less time than it took to deliver it from Messicks to your place. You have by far a lot more patience and composure than I would ever have about the situation.

I'm used to running machines that have close to 200,000 hours or 30 40 years on them and they work like a dream and hardly ever break down. im not a new holland fan on any of things they make. ive never have good luck with them no matter who owns it or how new it is. keep up with the awesome videos man and don't play with fire.

    Put a front hitch on your 7810. front and rear claas mower and your good to good plenty of power for two mowers and fairly cheap to do. If one gets damaged you can still finish the job. We use them in nz where we tend to have thicker crops than the the UK etc and they work well

    Krone Big M!
    But in all seriousness, triple mowers on tractor are by far the best option in my opinion. I know you probably can't go as fast, but the working width of those things can be up to 9m wide, which I'm sure is a lot wider than the speedrowers. We use triple mowers on tractors of only 150hp and they cut hella fast even in thick crops.

    LOL, I just got to the point in the vid where Messics told you they want to flush the system... WHICH is what they should have done the minute that pump blew up, BUT when you take the cheap route and hope for the best, you often end up with something like the Norower 240 They gave you the headache that keeps on giving.

    • @rustyshank912
      @rustyshank912 9 років тому

      can you explain how to flush a hydraulic system and what is used to do it.

    • @MrComaToes
      @MrComaToes 9 років тому

      How detailed flushing a hydraulic system becomes is different for just about every piece of equipment, but it basically involves removing every loose particle of the destroyed part that has contaminated the system... Some companies have machines that can flush hydraulic systems, but there are several other ways of doing it as well.

    • @MrComaToes
      @MrComaToes 9 років тому

      onelonleyfarmer A can of brake cleaner? You can thank them for wanting to do the repair cheap and fast and hope for the best. Hydraulics systems in the past were finicky, an almost microscopic particle in the wrong place was endless headache.... but if you were LUCKY you could get away with not flushing the system. On today's hydraulic systems, you are lucky if you DO flush the system to not have a problem down the line with sensors and microscopic passages.. The No-rower 240 Ladies and Gentlemen, lets have a big hand for cheaping out on the repair!

  • @bigtrucker26

    Wes, with as much trouble as you've had, I'd refuse delivery of this mower again, they'd have to prove it's repairs by at least 3 weeks straight flawless operation, by their own personel.
    No, but seriously it's lawyer time. And don't forget to try and include lost income, and legal fees.
    Too bad you can't get a big m dropped off for "demonstration" just as they are picking up the norower. Even occasionally waiting on parts, you wouldn't have been down as long as this thing has cost you. I would think the combination of control (no caster wheels to flail around), and swath of cut would be so superior, that even waiting on parts, you would possibly double what you could have done in a normal year, Let alone this fiasco.
    Just let them pick it up, but I recommend refusing delivery of that mower again.
    Hoping for better times wes, hoping for better times.

    • @notelling8240
      @notelling8240 9 років тому +1

      Refusing delivery is moot. Only other avenue Wes has on this machine was if it was financed with NH credit and I highly doubt that. I imagine he wrote a check. That makes it his. Working or not. New Holland/Messicks have their money. As long as they continue to work on it and try to remedy the problem and eventually make it run they have held up their end of their warranty deal. He gets a lawyer and he will just piss away more money and tie it up in court for over a year, all the while sitting with a piece of shit and needing something to put up hay.
      His best recourse in this whole shenanigan is trade it in on a New Deere. It's a 1XX hour 2014 New Holland Speedrower with remainder of Mfg warranty left on it. The Book will give them a value for trade. Shut your eyes, write the check, and never look back.
      New Holland will drag their feet on this pile of junk replacing any major expensive components until it's down to the gnat's ass. They will not exchange him with a brand new one. They will not take it back unless a court of law made them and as I said, the costs incurred doing that are make it a foolish move financially.
      1 thing Wes has going for him is that when you get a good deal you tell your family, friends, and people you want to succeed. When you get fucked you tell everyone and anyone that will listen.
      Doesn't look good on New Holland when Wes' video is on their facebook page right under their post about the new Speedrowers at Husker Harvest Days this year.
      New Holland just cut their throat for public relations with any farmer on the net that likes watching the OLF videos. I know I will not own one of those pieces of shit after all the trouble Wes has had.

    • @bigtrucker26
      @bigtrucker26 9 років тому +1

      Whether Wes paid cash or financed it, doesn't alter the consumer protection laws. Under witch generally they get 5 attempts to fix the same problem, before they have to replace it. His getting a lawyer, will potentially speed it, as they don't want the extra cost of defense on top of the machine. In a case like this, with the video evidence, it would be easier to win, as there won't be a good question about the issues, and failed repairs....
      As to the expense of the legal process, people have to do it with cars, and they come out of it, you don't think a machine that costs the same as 3 decent full size pickup trucks isn't worth the legal process....
      I get it your part of the New Holland Hush up team, well, sorry, but you don't get to deny Wes his legal rights. If you want this to disappear, then do what the courts are going to order you to do, and what a respectable company would do, and replace the defective equipment. Most seem to be decent, but Wes got a bad one. Just swap it out, and lets get on with our livelihoods.....

    • @notelling8240
      @notelling8240 9 років тому +1

      Well, you're ignorant I see. Video evidence of him running it down the road with the alarm going off saying to slow down and he doesn't pull the hydro back and keeps going shows negligence. Yea, he's shown videos of it showing a code. Sitting on his yard. The head bogging down while swathing. What has he shown that will make this an easy win? You obviously haven't been in a court over shit like this. NH's lawyer'd up 24/7. Yea, it would probably come out in Wes' favor which is a good thing but your an idiot if you think these big companies don't know the game and haven't played it so many times in the past that they aren't going to take the avenue that profits them best. For them, that's stalling out. Praytell oh wise one where in the hell did you come up with the "fix it 5 times" malarky? Some number you dreamed up off the top of your head? P.S... I have no affiliation with NH in any way shape or form. I rooting for Wes' team and am a fan of his vids and success. Unlike you though, I have been through these shit sandwhiches before and merely listed the facts.

    • @bigtrucker26
      @bigtrucker26 9 років тому +1

      I Have not searched for New Jersey's "lemon law". My reference to five tries (for the same problem, not an ac, a clutch, a door, etc., it only applies for a situation like this-five times to fix the drive system / or hydraulic system / or five tries to get the seat to stay bolted down), is from what I have been told by those who have had issues in the past, that had to use the "lemon law", or bring it into consideration. My video "evidence" is the repeated problems, and complaints with the hydraulic system, as well as what Wes has discussed them them trying to fix on these videos that he posts. This shows an ongoing problem, from delivery to current. Not just a complaint that has been blown out of proportion to show more issue than what is there (trying to make a single failure look like a ongoing issue). Of course New Holland has a fleet of lawyers, they have to defend New Holland from scammers.
      The head bogging down, shows the header is not at full power, a issue that was supposed to be resolved and fixed already. Unless you are referring to the digging angle that he was doing when he first got it before he figured out the settings he needed to use. As to the drive "overspeed" alarm, no reasonable court, when he has explained it was partially for stability, was minimally above the alarm trigger, and was permitted by the machine without removing limiters, is going to penalize Wes for operating at those speeds, though they may question why he took it down the road in the first place.....
      Point blank, New Holland delivered DEFECTIVE equipment, sold as New, and Fully Functional. Wes has proof, it was defective, and that there have been several attempts to repair the same problems, including it sitting in the yard for a month, instead of working in the fields like it is designed to.
      You may have enough money to Eat defective equipment (and no, I don't believe John Deere will pay full value for defective equipment), but most people can't, and no one should have to.... Not even you.

    I used to work on Caterpillar pavers that were hydrostatic drive with closed loop propel, and when they failed it was a real mess. You had to drain all of the oil out of the machine and run a kidney loop machine in the tank with new oil for days changing filters on the machine and the kidney loop pump the machines were never the same. Usually low charge pressure is a indication of some sort of internal leak and the should have known that.

    LMAO at the "Wheel of Misfortune"... Yeah I BET they didn't want that on UA-cam!!! Serves them right and you did the right thing posting it.
    Geez what a mess. I know the PITA that running old machinery can be, when everything seems to go south (or keeps going south) when you NEED to be in the field WORKING, not WORKING ON stuff at the shop or on the turn row... We, in a lot of cases, simply had NO CHOICE on a lot of things... we bought new tractors here and there over the years, and a new baler and hay mower, one new hay rake, and a new combine back in 74 (IIRC), BUT we never could afford to buy a new cotton picker, despite that being our main crop all those years-- they were simply TOO EXPENSIVE to ever afford for the acres and money we had. SO, we made do with used planters (for the most part, Grandpa had an old #18 Deere planter, Dad actually had a NEW Cole planter he got when he bought the David Brown back in like '75, which did a good job but had the old style "sword openers" and blackland type sweep and shovels style planter, so I retired it to the barn and replaced it with a used Deere 7100 4 row planter in 97 after we lost the 96 crop due to drought-- we lost all our moisture at planting due to the old style planter ripping the ground up and never got rain to bring the crop up. Everything else was pretty much used, including my ancient old hi-boy sprayer (a Barrentine which nobody's probably ever heard of... saved from the scrapyard and rebuilt by me).
    One thing DOES come to mind though about the used equipment-- like a bumper sticker I see now and again that always makes me laugh and nod in agreement says-- "Don't laugh-- it's paid for!" Quite true! NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING is worse than spending boku big bucks on a NEW machine, EXPECTING that you're buying quality and RELIABILITY, only to find out you've bought MORE PROBLEMS than you had before with the old machine you replaced... I mean that just SUCKS!!!!
    Just goes to show "just because it's new doesn't mean it's better"...
    Later and best of luck! OL J R : )

    I use to work in forestry replantion specifically field prep using log skidders to spray new tree planation sights then coming back and to trench it(basically plowing the woods) and most of the work is state land and alot if the logging sights they do are ones the saw mills didn't buy because how rough, rocky, hills,and even mtns and cliffs. Or areas where tourist wont see since logging is frowned upon by the uneducated. Well ling story short we use jd log skidders mainly G series and idk why but out of 4 same model skidders 3 American 1 European each one used a different shifter all electronic not linkage. And one machine I was one a sight that went straight down hill and was also side hills the whole way down. And I was at quite a side angle but also going up a steep hill and the machine was starting to spin out because it was quite a hill and I started lifting the trencher (thankfully) and jd had the great idea when this certain transmission code poped it would put itself in neutral and started flying down hill. Luckily I was able to straighten out and used the blade to catch a stump and stop because brakes were not doing it. if I still had the trencher down it would of broke and the machine would of ran it over but because of the hill it then could of caught and flip the machine straight on its back. After this it happened a few more times but never on a life threatening sight I couldn't believe that they would of out that in on a machine that is on crazy terrain. After finally going back to a town with service jd deleted the neutral lock in over the fucking internet even they didn't even have to co.e out.

    I actually know of someone who just got sick of one of his tractors. It was a McCormick, fairly new I think. He wanted an excuse to get a new tractor, so he hitched it up to a trailer, took it to the top of a hill, jumped out of it with the handbrake off. It gained speed and crashed, totally wrecked it split the bastard in half. Result!

    bad to see Wess. First impression a lose wire in the area off the oil bin. I think they had to take a wire loos to take the bin out.

    that thing would piss off the pope. I hope things work out well for you cause that just sucks, plain and simple. The wheel of misfortune was pretty funny though. If I was new Holland, I would want that back immediately if not sooner. There's a lot of us watching, seeing them get a bad rap about their machine.

    It seemed like New Holland was better when they were still owned by Sperry prior to the 1986 buyout from Ford then Fiat later.

    I know what you are going through. as my old man would say "a piece of equipment is only as good as its service department"
    sadly i would argue that none of the major equipment give two shits about this anymore. Hell up here ive gotta hold their damned hand to order parts.

    I think you should remove the extra weight you had to add to drive the thing from the start, and see if they can keep it from nose diving at a stop sign as it is designed to drive better then your truck from the factory. Maybe it would be faster to just give each of your kids a push mower, I think it would be way faster at this point with less busted parts. I sure hope they just fess up and get you a deere at there cost... Back in the day I got a new car that had problems from day 2, it was a stick and would not go into 3rd or 5th gear the second day i owned it. after 5 attempts for them to fix it, I drove it into there front window and smashed in to 3 new cars at high speed, tossed them the keys and got a cab home. It was Bob Carter ford in West St.paul Mn. Never did hear back from them if the car was fixed or not. Maybe the same needs to be done with the mower?
