In the next few days I will drop a "How I color graded this video" My question: When you installed the V-Log in your camera, did you get the conversion Lut from Panasonic on their web side? Did you also install the conversion Lut in your camera so that when you shoot in V-Log you have a preview on the monitor of your GH5 of the rec 709 look? And did you install this Lut on your computer desktop already? Thanks for the replay because in the next video I will color grade with this Lut for v-log of the Panasonic GH5. In case you don't have the Lut, I can tell you how to get it, and that will speed up your workflow by a lot. Greetings.
I used the Panasonic in built lut already installed but I bought a conversation lut from GAMUT. I just put that file on the sd card and selected it to be viewed on my camera and on my exported monitor, it seems way more accurate. Still exposing 1 stop over entire frame or balance between the full frame and spot metering, very close to 1 stop if all possible, the Panasonic lot had too much contrast for most of my videos I make so always tweaking those settings but that GAMUT conversion lut was a lot better, I had many times before it looked great on cam and monitor but I’d come home and the footage was flat for sure but almost ungradable when I had so much footage nothing was consistent, I believe I paid like 30 bucks for it online, well worth it .
@@RyanTrent I'm definitely going to check it out. I don't like the conversion lut from panasonic that much either, because it brings that weird tint look on peoples faces and I have always to color corrected by a lot... I'm about to drop a color grading video these days where I apply this technique do to some requests I got.. Hm.. I'm very curious to se your results too 😃
Cinematic 💯
Love this lens it was my first purchase with my camera
its still been below freezing here in Michigan I was hoping to get to the beach for some nice sunset pictures and vids looks like the weather is nice today though
yes it’s amazing 🤩
Great as always...love your color grading. I know you have already done something similar...but would love seeing your settings and post production process. Would love to replicate your mood shots. Thanks for the inspiration you are giving us.
@micelab Thank you so much, I will do it very soon! I think I will need just a few days..

Thank you so much! Yes I did this VLog video using the original conversion LUT from Panasonic. If you watch into my playlists, you’ll find a color grading playlist on youtube where the color grading of this video is in. Almost same thumbnail just with the color grading title. :)))
Awesome! Thank you@@kenslyder
Here is the link to the video just in case you don't find it.. Thank you very much :-) ua-cam.com/video/KNwQ_svoLyM/v-deo.html

thank you buddy. A color grading video is coming soon.
Looks very nice brother, got me a cinema lens because of your videos. It’s my first and I’m really enjoying the look.
a cinema lens? wow bro which one? I don't have any
@@kenslyder meike 25mm t2.2, game changer for me, I had been using photography type lens even though I play with manual settings and focal a lot but this has that movie look for sure. I don’t know the comparison from a t stop to a f stop as far as range but it’s 2.2 and it gets a ton of light, I really honestly just snap it on and I’m not focusing with too much once I’m setup for the scene on the camera. Everything is right on the lens itself that I’m adjusting. For me it’s opened a whole range of ideas and I’m really liking my color graded better, I paired them with GAMUT luts for the base, I tend to do my own grades but this is definitely helping, also too way less noise.
@@RyanTrent Man I just looked into your lens on google. Sounds awesome for the price! It's also a manual focus lens right? the difference between f stop and t stop as far as I know is that cinema lenses use t stop that makes a transition, ( for instance ) from t2.2 - t 3.0 smoothly and not gradual like an f stop. That means is better for video shooter if you change the t stop while you're recording it doesn't look like when you change the aperture on a photo lens where you se every step when you close or open the aperture..in the footage.. and that doesn't happen with t stop. So it's much better for video shooter. I don't know about the gamut lut, I will decently check them out and I can't wait to se a video of yours. Let me know, in case I miss your next video bro.
@@kenslyder I will buddy, I’ll make another video and make it public, yeah it is all manual. It focus breathes really nice. For your type of videos you make you would fall in love with it.
Nice Footage!
thank you so much! Glad you liked it :)
Thanks for share
My pleasure, thanks for your support!

Oh, those greens!
thank you Alex. It was shot in V Log, I will share a video soon how I color graded it :)
Looks amazing. What did you use to record audio?
Thank you so much! To record the audio I used the wireless microphone Lark M2. I did a review for this microphone here: ua-cam.com/video/ABcfueYw1TU/v-deo.htmlsi=6wj0jQxl7t1SKl2e
Nice vidéo ! Thank you .😊🙏
So nice of you, thank you too! 😃🙏🙌
Arg! It's so hard to know where to start. I keep looking at buying a gh5, but with a good lens I start hitting past the $1k us mark, and then I'm in the same price range as something like the S5. And I don't know whether to invest that money into the m43 world, or the full frame world where I can adapt vintage lenses that are more affordable. I've been trying to make this decision for like 6 months now and every video I watch convinces me to change my mind...
Thanks for the comment! If you haven't got a camera yet and no lenses, I thinks it doesn't really matter if you go with full frame or M43. You have to get used to one or the other system. What in my opinion is more important is if you need a good autofocus, get a newer camera than the GH5 or the S5! You can get a Full Frame camera like the s5ii for like 1500 us with a Kit lens to start or a G9ii for the same price M43. I've seen people selling the G9ii now for the GH7. Maybe you could find one soon. I would definitely safe a little bit more money and get one of those cameras just because of the very improved autofocus. My GH5 struggles some times. So after 7 years I'm definitely going to need a second Lumix camera with the new autofocus system.
@@kenslyder Appreciate you taking the time to elaborate for me on all this. Means a lot!
@@AndSoGoes you're welcome. I hope it helps to make deeper researches before taking your decision. :)
I research about this lens and I see your video. Thank you for share.
What do you think autofocus of sigma 16mm lens.
I'm using GH5S
@@seberus123 Thanks! The autofocus is similar to the other lenses from panasonic. It’s 👍 ok
👏👍
