Venue is Melbourne Festival Hall used in your Beatles Sing For Shell. Mostly used for wrestling and boxing despite the grand name it was a bit of a dump even when new.

A search for Festival Hall Melbourne Decades should show some with quite a long list, but not complete for the earlier years especially, of big name bands and other uses. A radio Livestream of a near riot when a big wrestling event became a lockout shortly after the Beatles gives some flavour of its use. These big music performances stopped around ten years ago when it was bought by a cashed up religious organisation with really I think a view to replacing it with an upmarket inner city housing block. This caused a huge controversy with government promising to throw money at the music side of it before an election.
