I had a hot pass and was in the pits for that one. I have never seen drivers look so much like they'd rather be doing something else. That one was a tough one to watch, but at least the funniest winner possible ended up taking the trophy. That Jones boy never does give up.
I remember watching the entire race and getting hella annoyed at all the crashes. I also nearly died of laughter watching Erik’s torn up car win the race.
Imagine being Austin Dillion in the Clash having the only clean car in this race and not only get beat by cars with damage and almost getting passed by Clint Bowyer with a broken bent spoiler.
I went to my first Nascar race at Richmond last week on my birthday. Turned 20. Went with my lil brother and pops. I wish for everyone to hear them go around the track in person at least once in their life. It was awesome!
Just a side note that Mike joy didn't realize at this time was Denny was a lap down so there really was no good side by side finish for the win tbh once Erik jones took the lead nobody else was getting to him
The 2020 Clash is one of the best races I've ever watched. I loved the absolute chaos at the end. I didn't like the oil left on the track though. I thought that was dumb and they should have cleaned it up.
a large percentage of nscsr fans will complain about any and everything they do because it isn't the way it was in the 90s. sure, the sport isn't as popular as it was back then. but that's because every time nascar tries something they either execute it horribly or all the nascar fans who are afraid of change rebel
You make things make sense whereas my race buddy speaks in the north-east New England mumble so I can't understand a damn thing but I love it when our Kyle Busch gets a run because he goes nuts lmao
This race was the reason I’m a fan. My first race. “This is an embarrassment to our sport” I hear a lot. I don’t really think so. (However full screen green flag commercials ARE an embarrassment to the sport). This race had me hooked. I heard it was going to LA and as a Daytona resident had mixed feelings. I do enjoy the LA clash though.
A JGR race car with a absolutely totaled front end winning the Busch Clash at Daytona. If that wasn’t a wild moment in this race, I don’t know what is.
Great ending there, tying it all together. Lately it just feels rough being a NASCAR fan. I wonder how this weekends dirt race will end with Overtime or big crashes
How do you feel about RocketPoweredMohawk? You specifically don't bring him to mind but something about your channel resembles an American version, without the dirty humor. Not sure what it is, but it's a compliment
When you’ve mentioned video games, I’ve immidiately thought about iRacing. Seriously, no matter what split, no matter what series, if you have a race at Daytona or Talladega, you’ll end with a wrecked car unless you give up your positions on purpose. Just yesterday I had a gut feeling that I should start from pits and went from 28’th to top 5, just because so much wrecks happened. But the most astonishing thing to me is that actual, real-life NASCAR races can be just like that. Like what the hell, your cars are expensive…
I'm not entirely sure how I've wound up watching NASCAR videos on UA-cam again, since I haven't watched a race since 2020, but watching this I'm pretty sure this is the race that effectively killed my interest in the sport. Sure, it was hilarious seeing a car that badly destroyed win through sheer collective idiocy, but I don't think I was even that surprised by the end of it. Like you said at the start, driving a racecar is hard. But it's not much easier telling yourself these are the best drivers in the world, when they just can't figure out how to stop hitting each other.
I’ve driven a stock car. I’ve gotten it up to 145 mph in a 16 minute practice session. But then again I drive go karts in real life so that was nothing.
Love this channel because they feel like actual essays. Not like some of the more popular channels on here which is the same rinsed and repeated shit over and over
The move to road course was originally so that it was the last hurrah for Gen 6. Unfortunately, Next Gen had to be postponed due to circumstances. Also, the 2023 race at the Coliseum already had people saying "Busch Light Crash at the Coliseum".
Say what you will about racer etiquette: that was ugly. Seeing the battered and bruised underdog go to hell and back to win the race was nothing short of a miracle and honestly inspiring to see. Now onto some more pressing matters. *You're s&*@ting on lemon flavor Starbursts: did I hear you right?*
@@benjamincook8479 thanks bud, looks like it's the last corner coming onto the start/finish from that angle, looks like it would be a fun drive with a grand prix car or LeMans.
The Clash should always be at Daytona and should only feature the previous season’s pole sitters as well as previous Clash winners. I didn’t like the Coliseum races at all. NASCAR needs to change the Speedweeks back to the way it used to be. Two weeks of Daytona to start the season - Clash on Saturday night, Cup qualifying Sunday afternoon, Twin 125 qualifying races Thursday evening, truck race Friday night, Busch and ARCA races Saturday afternoon, and the 500 on Sunday afternoon.
I'm gonna lie those nascar driving experiences or whatever are such a scam Limit you and then charge you out of the ass for extra Is stuff like in car video which Is terrible quality

Any info if Hamlin was laughing about it after the fact?
I noticed Hamlin tried the slingshot way to late
@@JJ48fan It was only in an attempt to finish on the lead lap as he was a lap behind. It wasn't for position.
“ Erik Jones is gonna win the Busch clash with a car that’s ready for the dumpster” that is the best thing Mike Joy has ever said
I remember a Martinsville race when there was a caution and when the camera shown it was Cody ware you hear
"And *sighs* it's Cody ware
I remember watching the entire race and getting hella annoyed at all the crashes. I also nearly died of laughter watching Erik’s torn up car win the race.
Denny Hamlin is doing a throwback from 2011 at 8:18
They think no practice saves $$$. A little gas is much cheaper than a whole field of wrecked cars.
"I told you, no whammies!" is a certified Clint Bowyer gem
That was Kurt Busch, but it is a classic.
@@sonnydog830 Crap I keep forgetting he was still driving in 2020. I didn't watch during that time lol

Idk about you, but that little Mike Joy "Oh Please" at around 8:06 makes that clip 10x better for me
This is the best clash documentary I’ve ever seen.
7:44 I’m glad you included Twisted Toe’s reactions! 👍
Brandon once again screaming😂
I love the inclusion of TwistedToe’s reaction. Fantastic video as always.
It’s wild the amount of times we see a wreckfest and Austin Dillon comes out fine. I don’t understand how
It's just a universal constant
Maybe the universe is paying him back for throwing him into a catch fence at 150+ miles an hour lol
The TwistedToe reactions inclusion is 👌👌👌

i also bought a kevin harvick hat 👍
I love you. Top quality NASCAR content with my favorite Mario Kart and Ms Pac Man Maze Madness soundtracks in the background. You're a legend
The Dumpster at Daytona, burned into my memories. Excellent vid.
I will never forget the mrn call
Erik jones in a car with the aroedynamyics of a burlap sack

Yeah, that 2011 finish at Watkins Glen that gets replaed over and over again happened because of the exact same thing.
If anyone ever complains about the Coliseum, or whatever NASCAR does with The Clash, show them this video.

That final daytona oval clash ending though was like an IROC race ending
I was at cota in the main grandstand. Everyone was getting annoyed by the second overtime restart.
I was in turn 1 and same. It's not like they changed anything, Reddick was too dang good.
0:23 Ah, IFAR........ I've thought about begging for my commentator job back just to bask in the Saturday night chaos again 😂

Bro really did Starbursts Lemon flavor dirty....

This race reminded me of the 2017 Dega playoff race when there was like 10 cars left
these race documents are some of the best on youtube, no doubt this channel will blow up
an ellyproductions classic here
Tbh I love 6 car 10 lap battles are fun and crazy to watch

Back then in 2020 for the clash. I was younger and was obsessed with crashes and now I look at this and it’s pretty bad 😮
Ryan Newman got screwed so many times at super speedways his last couple of years
If Roblox NASCAR league wrecks were realistic:
Is that nr2003 league narl?
i made it into a video, with the nr part. lesss go
So the clash won’t be a thing anymore?

Hooters?

Good video but shouldn't have put the live reaction didn't add anything except me ending the video earlier
I have the left side door number from kyle busch clash car from 2020
